cnoisy Quintafeira12 cnoisy though if this were to happen i can guarantee that people would object then they'd need to develop a sense of humor. Death s cheap in this game anyways. ya but either way, like say there was a crew about to go into the coliseum or something, and then all of a sudden BLAM instant death! you could expect one or two threads on the subject Atrash Tangent Time! What if there was a kind of noble/jerk enemy which would defib you if it dazed you, only to keep dazing you again? You'd have the chance to keep fighting or try to escape, but given that you have very little health when coming back, and presumably it heals at least some in between reviving you...

Really, it shouldn't be an issue. There's Buzzkill in Bassken. Lawnsharks in VG. Landshark in Gold Beach. Bug Breakout in OA.
You rarely see threads about them. I don't see why this would be any different. Especially with how few people are still doing Coliseum.
And fine. Let's just say it is. Doesn't auto-aggro. Problem solved.

I just want to point out that JK has been spending the whole week nuking the game out of its brain sockets. Literally, there's nothing that can be done to prevent the mass slaughter, and worse, he tends to start these on BB, GB and Otami, so people tend to not have much else to do than stay dazed. And NO ONE is complaining. In fact... Everyone is willfully joining the servers just to GET THEMSELVES KILLED. I think that it's more than enough proof that a screen nuke on spawn is not a bad idea at all, even if it affects instance crew building. People just want something different to do.

Timmy actually enjoys getting killed, if it's awesome enough. Johnny doesn't really mind, so long as it doesn't get in the way of other things. Generally speaking, it ticks Spike off. All it takes is the association of "dazing" with "losing" (which isn't a hard connection to make), and it automatically becomes the single-worst thing Spike can do. If you haven't noticed it, yourself, [ JK ]'s actually picked up a little animosity from players who think the summon events are 'stupid' and 'childish' - they think our devs are immature. I'd agree they probably need to loosen up (because dazing isn't losing), but it's still important to realise the effect that things like that have...

Well then, we have something else to ask the devs about next time we see him doing this then. (besides, asking them to do huge wandering bosses that spawn on pre-determinate times and kill people on-screen upon spawning)
We have to ask him to stop this week's frenzy before the novelty wears off... and then there's nothing to do on dev meets after the question session (or, that part where most people talk while some users push questions and reminders for features).
Could you imagine? Dev meets where you actually just talk to devs about issues with the game and happenings on gaia? The horror!

What would you bet that KJ comes out when [ JK ]'s job gets too stressful? 'Course, what that implies for this week is... eek

I think that this is something that - for the dev random invasion type things - can actually be handled to benefit Spikes. It's definitely a challenge, and an experience that can prove a Spike's power - either in totally being victorious, or getting some small victory and being honorably proven in that because nobody could expect more (such as survival) from such a thing. Maybe it requires a bit more of a buildup of challenge (both in difficulty and in sort of throwing down the gauntlet to those players who like the difficulty to try to beat things). An event which just did things without any care or seeming reason (even if it was perennial) would probably tick people off. It also would need to present the challenge, in a way that Spikes could get a good feeling for the challenge, and a feeling of victory from their struggle with it (as well as being cool for Timmy's, and maybe dropping nice goodies for the Johnny's).
