"I just recently got them," Behnam admitted. "We haven't ah... gotten to the point where we have cubs." Or to any point, yet. He had two gorgeous females sleeping in his den and he had yet to show off his "training" to either of them.
He was still in the wooing stage, or so he told himself. Inwardly he sighed, wondering if the awkward feeling of trying to move in on one of his banu while the other was in the den would be tripled when there were cubs.

"What do you mean? Don't cubs just... happen?" Bahram's eyes slowly widened as he realized that he had no idea where cubs came from. He always assumed that as soon as a male brought his banu back to the pride she simply... what was the word for it... got cubs somehow. His earliest memories were of darkness, the smell of the den, so maybe cubs came from the den somehow. Maybe they came out of the earth or just appeared there as soon as the banu lay down. At least, that was what he always assumed.
As Behnam walked him back to his family's den his head was spinning with questions. He almost didn't want to go home anymore. He knew that his parents would just ignore him like always.

Oh father, Behnam thought, groaning inwardly. Now he was expected to explain cub making to a cub? No way, no how! "They do just happen," he said, keeping it nice and vague. "But sometimes it takes a while for them to... happen. Just like... getting your mane is going to happen, but it'll take time, right? Cubs don't take quite that long, but they do take time!"

"Oh..." Bahram looked down. That sort of made sense. When he got home he would try asking his mom for more information. Since she was a girl she would probably know more than some pad. He just hoped that he could get her attention long enough for her to explain.
Soon Bahram spotted a familiar looking den. Uncle Obadais lived there, though he didn't have any cubs of his own yet. If that was his uncle's den then Anwar's den couldn't be far away. Smiling he thanked Behnam and darted off toward his uncle's den to say hello. That way when he went back to his mother's den he could just say he went visiting his uncle.
