ºWhat if your whole life up to this point was just an illusion?º
----------------------------------------------------------

So today's the day, Lucas thought, adjusting his hat before he left his room. Being one of the eldest in the Guild, and one of the teachers, he thought that he should be with Matron and master when the Prince and Princess arrive. "I wonder how I can bring out their abilities," he said with a sadistic grin as he began to walk towards the dining area, "Maybe I can make them some captors, yes, having heard the stories of their father, he has probably made them a little bit paranoid of being captured." He laughed, he shouldn't rush into things, its so unlike him. He does have to prepare, his old trick of making the students think the Matron, Master, or even himself were getting attacked to bring it their abilities out, considering that they haven't grown up with the guild. A challenge! he thought, this is going to be fun! He laughed again maniacally at the thought.

Life could be rather shocking

Kaede whistled a tune, pocketing his hands into his pants. He was always up so cheerily in the early morning, seeing as how he was more of a morning person than a night person. Besides, with what blessed guests that’ll arrive today, he couldn’t sleep! He stopped at the market to buy himself something.

“How about no! Pears are double the price and I’m not lowering them, Guildie!” The plump woman put a hand on her hip, a sneer on her face. She was rather a stingy one alright.

However, her pears were always the sweetest. His bi-colored eyes glittered as he leaned close to her. Not too close to give a shock but one to show his charming face. “Come on, a Guild Master’s got to eat now~” He flashed some teeth.

Let’s just say Kaede visited this booth quite often and used excuses for not having enough money. The plump woman smacked him on the head. “No deal,” she boldly stated.

Kaede pouted, that pretty boy grin so warming, it should have melted the woman’s heart. With a last debate with herself, she gave in. Kaede gave her a small tip before taking a pear. He rubbed it on his sleeve before taking a bite, a lofty grin on his face. It wasn’t before long that he peeped into the infant section of the guild. Hmm…Libi wasn’t here. Probably the kitchen, if it was so early. Kaede made his way then, wondering where his Matron was. He soon found her in the kitchen, probably whipping up something delicious. “Good, I’m starving. That cheap woman down at the market only gave me one pear today,” he commented as he sat down in a stool, leaning his elbows onto the counter as he ogled her.

Gabriel Valiamont:
I will protect you.

Gabriel’s hand stopped moving, a sure fire way to tell he wasn’t paying attention. In fact, he was sleeping. He had a horrid sleep last night, with this entire hubbub about the Guild and such. His sisters chirping voice echoed through his head. He lifted his head to pretend he was paying attention before yawning and looking out the window. His view on this?
He was having a pretty horrid time with his Grace and all. Why couldn’t he pick his? Even his dreary sister got something better than his! At least, in his opinion. He also couldn’t help but feel absolutely depressed about seeing ‘Auntie’ Libi and Lightning either. They were both…weird. He wondered when they were getting married.

Gabriel piped in, clearing his voice. Deep eyes stared at Allison before sighing. “It’s bothersome,” was all he added.

Libitina's eyes swiveled back and forth in the kitchen. She'd made sure the main cook had everything he needed and then left him to his work, glad that he had everything under control. Those Guildiers now in the kitchen were mainly those that could help him get breakfast out on the double, and that included her. Of course, once lightning arrived, the banter started.

"Maybe she's running out, you do go there almost every day."
Her red eye turned toward him, and she flashed half an amused grin as she stirred something before it was to go on the fire. "Or maybe, just maybe, you could pay full price for once?"

Libitina passed off the bowl of batter to another woman and then turned full front on Lightning. Her hair had been tied up today so there was no chance of escaping whatever look was on her face, at least this morning it was a rather happy one. "Do I have to do everything around here, or are you going to help with breakfast? The cook can't do it all!"
---
All around the Guild people had begun to wake up. The guild itself was a rather large plot of land with several buildings, including a main hall, a dorm-style building, and a stable. There were usually more children than adults at the guild, mainly because most adults at the guild were only there temporarily, until they were needed elsewhere. Breakfast would begin shortly, and usually people were pretty good about not being late.

Lucas made his way into the kitchen, noticing now how unusually early he was, seeing very few guild members, noticing the Master and Matron were already there. "Good morning Kaede, Libi," he said in a half cheery, half asleep manner. Lucas sat himself down in a stool next to Kaede and yawned, he shouldn't have woken up this early.

"So when are the, um..., guests arriving?" Lucas asked, knowing that that was something that would be on Kaede and Libitina's mind, to.

Lightning frowned at her offer, not liking the idea of paying FULL price for his pears. Oh well, it would just be a never ending struggle between him and the pear woman. He grumbled about something the vulgarity of the subject before Lucas seated himself besides him. His lips twisted into a grin.

"I didn't think you'd be the curious type, Lucas," he commented before standing up from his seat to walk around the counter. He pocketed his hands again, leaning on the balls of his feet. His usual cheery face appeared.

"Now you know very well I never help in the kitchen~ The effects can be...detrimental. Unless you want me to help, that is."

Kaede gave her a cunning look in his gold eye. He leaned his elbows on the counter.

Just outside the boundaries of the guild builiding, a silver haired boy hid behind a tree. He seemed like an ordinary village child, with the exception of his different colored eyes. The left was a clear, crystal emerald that shone like grass covered with morning dew. The right was a soft blue that matched the color of the sky. Cautiously, he peeked from behind the trunk of the tree to see if anyone was around. Not a person in sight. Just as planned. No one was up yet, not at this time. He had come early for just this reason. But he still had to take caution. Someone might come out any minute. He took a deep breath. Now all he had to do was sneak into the building without anyone catching sight of him. It was an easy task to do anywhere else, but with the talented guildmaster in there, not to mention that other cunning trickery teacher, the chances of success dropped dramatically. No matter. He would do it. He would try. For her.

Giving himself an encouraging, but silent "You can do it!" he ran a few feet across the grass and concealed himself within a bush. With the planty terrain, he could slip into the guild with ease with the help of his grace. It was what he would do inside the guild that worried him, but he decided to think about that later. He had to finish this mission first. He spotted the nearest tree and made a run for it, but tripped halfway there. 'Darn it Ethan!' the boy scolded himself. He quickly looked around to see if anyone had seen him. There was no one around. He let out a relieved sigh before standing up and dusting himself. He was ready to move on, but the sound of horses in the distance distracted him.

It was a carriage, a very fancy one too. 'A royal carriage?' the boy thought, curious and confused at the same time. It seemed to be heading to the guild and it struck to him peculiar. Why would the king go to the guild? As the carriage passed by him, he could see the passengers that settled inside. Twins. A boy and a girl. Both with silver hair. 'Could they be the king's son and daughter? It must be, but why would they go to the guild?'

The sleeping young prince seemed to be waking up. When he opened his eyes, it revealed two different colored irises. 'So they're gracelings? They're gonna be students!?'

Libitina tsk'ed her tounge lightly against her cheek at Lightnings ploy to get out of cooking, but didn't exactly force a bowl into his hands. Detrimental cooking aside, that was probably for the best. Her eyes shifted to Lucas, though, at his question. "They should be here shortly, and we're to know our place as they know theirs. Here, they are equal to any other student, the queen would prefer it that way." The fact that Libi was in contact with the queen was not a secret, after all, the royals were good friends to the Guild Master and Matron, how else would they have attained such a position?

Had Libitina not been born graced, she would have been a Baroness. She had to say she preferred her life as it was now.

The kitchen slowly got busier and busier, the cook and his four assistants pulling things off the hearth and onto counters and spinning around the three that were not really in on their customs noisily. Libitina felt the noise was homey, and she smiled at the prospect of the coming breakfast. The dining hall, by now, would be filling with students and teachers and the like. She could hear it through the wall. It seemed the Prince and Princess would arrive in time for a meal, if their carriage was sure and steady. "I say we head for the hall..."

With a smile the Matron was bustling away, headed for the doorway out.

Allison huffed as she crossed her arms "Agreed" she said, but she knew his thoughts and she couldn't entirely blame him, she was just selfish right now. Luckily within the next ten minutes the carraige was slowing and they were arriving. As the door opened and the man of the front held out his hand for her, she lifted her white dress lightly and got out "Lets get this over with" she said, more to her brother. She waited on him and would stay by his side, for whatever they may face. "Time to wake up" she said with a kinder smile towards him.

|| /totally late
Well~ Fancy post will come later~ ||

Fai sat on her bed, looking out the window. She was curious as to what was going on, she had heard some talk, some rumors about new students. It was mainly some of the nosy students, the gossipers, but Fai watched intently none-the-less. It wasn't long until she saw the carriage, it was a royal carriage. She quickly opened a note-book and jotted a few things down, how she felt, curious, amazed, nervous. And things she noticed, royal, horses, morning. She leaned forward a bit as a figure got out, she had gorgeous, silver hair. Immediately, Fai touched he own hair. It was plain, and dark-colored. But it wasn't a time to be self-conscious. The girl seemed to gesture to someone who was in the carriage, but who else would be with her? Wait, they must be royal, correct? Perhaps she was one of the children of the king, she heard that he had two children... But why were they here? If only she could see their eyes from where she was...

Fai got up quickly, putting her note-book in a messenger bag and heading out, maybe she could wait by the door or something, she was already dressed for the day, so she could probably make it in time to greet them... So that's what she did, she made her way down the halls, not paying much attention to the beautiful walls around her. She made it to the door, but should she go out? No, she decided to stay where she was.

Yet... They would probably need some help getting around... Her decision swapped, she opened the doors and headed out, the morning air hit her skin and it felt welcoming, inviting, and she felt she made the right choice.

Just as soon as the royal carriage disappeared from his view, the front doors opened and Ethan immediately dove into a nearby bush to hide. He made an opening between the leafy twigs and peeked through the hole. A girl, about his age, with beautiful dark silver hair that cascaded down her back. A soft smile escaped his lips as he watched the girl endearingly. There was only one such girl who could have hair such as this. Fai. Even her name was like music to his ears. He blushed at such an embarrassing thought but quickly recovered. He was in love. He couldn't really help it, though he doubted the female would return his feelings. 'Ah, but one can always dream,' he thought to himself, sighing quietly in the bush.

There was no one else outside, and after checking to make sure Fai was alone, he stepped out of the bush and removed the few leaves that stuck to his silver hair. A nagging feeling of paranoia still tugged at his skin. In the same cautious manner, he ducked behind the various trees surroundng the building, each time moving a few feet closer to the door. When he had managed to come close enough, he let out a deep breath and stepped out in a casual manner, careful not to frighten her. "Hello Fai," he greeted her gently with a cheerful smile.

"What, I can't want to know about the goings of the place I teach at?" Lucas said to Lightening, "I'm insulted," he said sarcastically.

Lucas got up and stretched, he was still mostly asleep, or at least he thought that he was. In actuality he was mostly alert, and he would be completely once he gets some food into his stomach.

"I wasn't going to anyway," Lucas said with a grin, "Good to know I won't get any trouble from you." He followed Libitina out of the kitchen, already trying to think of ways to break the Prince and Princess.

My greatest fear...?

Fai heard some rustling in the distance, yet, it was still morning, she was probably tired. She should have remembered, it happened nearly every day at one point or another, and before she could remember, he was there next to her. She kicked herself mentally, for forgetting, she told herself to never forget anything, especially important things. Ethan was one of the few friends that Fai had managed to keep, although Ethan was never in class, nor was he enrolled anymore, he was still her friend. She liked that.

And, of course, if it was anyone else, Fai's reflexes would have had her jumping three feet in the air in fright before managing a 'hello', but it was Ethan, and she smiled, waving hello. "Good morning, Ethan." She said, she voice was still a bit tired and sleepy, but it still had a sing-son quality to it. "I saw some new students coming in a carriage. Do you have any idea who they are?" She asked, she was very curious as to who they were but she knew it probably wouldn't be good if someone saw Ethan on Guild property. But she also knew he was good at sneaking around, and it seemed as if he could become invisible at will sometimes.

Forgetting.

With a grin on his face, he took a warm crescent from a basket and followed Lucas and Libi out. He gave a tuneful whistle, eating the crescent in between breaks of his song. Once finished, he dusted the crumbs off his hands onto his pants. "Oh," he said after a small thought.

The princess and prince, to him that is, were selfish children. Yet he could only think about how much sweet pears they could afford. The thought made his mouth water. Nonetheless, Libi was right. Kaede thoguht it was high time to start disciplining these children into experienced, mature, and realistic adults. His yearning to teach them grew with anticipation and curiousity. He skipped ahead of Libi, his feet light, and gave a childish grin. "I'll go ahead to great the mister and miss super wealthy," he commented before dissapearing. He always had a tendency to be quick about things.

Kaede glomped Allison, hugging her tightly before spinning her in the air. He always felt like an uncle to the girl being how close of friends he and her father were. He gave her a spirited smile. "Good to see you again my dear, dear Allison." One thing to note about Kaede was that he didn't have manners much the less care about barriers. After setting Allison to the floor, he gave a small bow. "Finally, I'm so excited on you and Gabriel for being here at The Guild. I've been having an itching to teach the two of you," he murmured.
