xljj42 The Doctor turned his head a bit and bit back what could only have been a sarcastic remark before pushing Jack down a side alley. "This way, Jack. We're headed towards the water. If you're lucky, you will get to meet some of your legacy members in Torchwood. Founding fathers so to speak if you were an American." They rushed down the narrow alleys, their footfalls echoing ahead of them and behind them as they ran towards the water. Soon the alley emptied out into a wide street. Just on the other side of the street, The Doctor could see the town lights and moon reflected off the water. "Ah, here we go... now, if I were an underwater race... where would I hide?" "There, perhaps?" Said Jack, pinting directly at the ship, sitting ominously beneath the surface of the water...

Edward heard two male voices nearby and looked around. Seeing Doctor John Smith from before and a new man, he nodded to Elizabeth to carry on her good work then walked over to them.
"Dr. Smith, sir, please leave this area. There is nothing to see here."

"Nothing for you two," he smiled as he fished in his pocket for the memory erasing device they had found months ago. After muh experimenting, they had a 30% success rate in erasing the required the sections of memory needed. The other 70...well, total amnesia wasn't going to hurt them that much...

Edward pulled his hand away from the man and backed away a little, raising the device so it was between him, this man and Dr John Smith. "Sir, you must be deluded. Now, both of you, leave. I will use this."

Edward heard this too late as he was forced back by the device in hand and landed on his back a few metres away.
Elizabeth, Mary and James hurried across concerned for their leader. Elizabeth and Mary remained by Edward's side to see if he was okay whilst James stepped in front to defend them from the hostile barbarians.
