Interesting Conversationalist

Pegasus smiled a little at his surprise, her hand tightening slightly on his as he supported her, keeping the wind from pulling her over the edge. That was the danger of meeting on bridges it seemed, which was a real shame -- on such a clear night, it really was one of the most gorgeous places she'd found in Destiny City. With her free hand, she slipped a strand of strawberry blonde hair behind her ear and glanced to her right, where the dazzling lights of the city glittered, reflected off the harbor. But it was only for a moment, just the thoughtful glance of someone enjoying life whom had almost lost it, despite how frequently that was the case, for people in their positions. Somehow it always made things that much sweeter.
Shaking her head, the senshi of dreams straightened again, now that she had been successfully rescued from the brink, feeling Zink's hand squeeze hers in a surprisingly friendly gesture before letting it go, not letting their hands fall until she'd felt his gasp loosen. "Helios is all sorts of helpful with these sorts of things," she replied lightly, smile tugging her lips a little further, more of a smile than she usually gave. Those who knew Rea knew she didn't smile very often, and only then usually to her dearest friends. At any other time, it was always just the barest hint of one, one you weren't quite sure whether she was amused or not. Always the mysterious type. Now was not one of those cases -- it was a small smile, certainly, but it was an obvious one none the less, something thoughtful and relaxed. "I don't have any idea what it does, though. Don't feel pressured to tell me, either. I understand what it means to have secrets."
Sitting down once more by the edge, Pegasus let her legs dangle from the side, confident that being seated there was nothing to fear from the wind, and she tilted her head up a little to glance at Zink, offering him a spot beside her, if he so chose. There was a quirk of an eyebrow when he mentioned the Negaverse queen, however, and she tilted her head a bit, curious but for the moment letting it go, looking back over the water. "Faith is earned, General. If you'd been threatening, I think we would be having a different conversation right now," she replied, letting the latter part of his comment fade. Despite this, she couldn't quite drop the thought itself, thinking about it as conversation stalled for the time, both of them falling silent. Whose fault was it their factions were at war? She couldn't say hadn't seen senshi fight blindly just because it was the negaverse.
"Your queen wanted to take possession of it?" she spoke up again after a moment, her question politely curious. At this point, she hoped he realized she wasn't trying to gain information in the name of sabotage.

“All things worth having are earned one way or another…” He agreed with a small nod. “All things…truly passionate as well.” He said though his mind had turned for a moment down darker corridors. Introspection on hate, and loss…he closed that ‘door’ again almost as quickly, dropping his gaze from the moonlight painted expanse of the City back to her teal eyes.
He considered her, the smile that she had shared, as rare at least as a truly happy smile from him. Considered the question written in her eyes as it formed on her lips, polite and conversational. Dangerous to answer, but..
Trust was earned… some people were worth earning.
“She did…” He nodded civilly. “I imagine the Senshi Moon Princess would feel the same, if she made her appearance.” He mused. It wasn’t as hostile as he could have made it. He simply couldn’t imagine royalty that didn’t have some personal drive and want out of the war. “I offered it to her, I thought surely it must react to her the same way it had to me… warm… powerful.” He gave a small shrug and then shook his head thinking back to the moment when it had touched her hand. “…Yet it faded… dimmed. She declared that it had bonded to me and that was the way of it… I wonder if a crystal once ‘attuned’ is with its user until something… unfortunate happens. I hope not to be the one to find out…” He chuckled softly though there was only a sort of sad humor in it.
