Curved, white, gleaming horns protruded from his messy plum colored locks, his rueful smirk didn't quite reach his eyes as he answered with obvious fake innocence, "Oh? They weren't chasing you down Leylia? My mistake then, how horrid of me. Please accept my deepest apologies."
"Seeking to annoy? Far be it from me to traverse such frivolity my good sir, I seeking to protect my lady," his scarred heterochromatic gaze intensely settled on his wintry female counterpart. Briefly, he watched dispassionately as Aedan pulled the fallen sister to her feet, her glare evident as she dusted herself off, "Oh dear, your poor outfit; please let me help," a weaving of his hands before he brought them to his mouth, and a brief puff of air that he blew and suddenly a strong gust of artic air blew all the dust off her skin and outfit. And left little particles of icy on her summer heated skin making her anger heated skin steam.
"Tsk tsk," he murmured mockingly, "I just don't seem to be helping much am I, Leylia.....," turning his gaze back to the one he'd come for he smiled genuinely, "Well let's see if I can at least help you."
He lifted her petite injured hand into his larger one, her icy skin a color contrast with his sea-black one, raising her hand to his lips he placed a chaste kiss upon it letting the frigid cold seep into her skin; down her fingers, up through her hand, arm, shoulder, anywhere burned until she was healed. Heatedly, he raised his black and gold eyes to her icy blue one, "Better?"

Leylia couldn't help but smile slowly, closing her eyes as she felt the feel of winter flow in and extinguish the touch of summer, chilling her with relief, and her muscled relaxed completely as he held her arm up by the hand. Whatever she did say about Caprice, there was no denying the smooth, sensuous flow of his natural, dark power. Coy appreciation shone in her eyes when they opened, though she pulled her hand away from him and took a step back.
"Better..." She admitted, "But I'm not your lady, Caprice."

Aislinn gratefully accepted the help from Aedan to get up from the ground. As gracefully as she could she stood, trying not to get upset over the silliness of a pretty much ruined outfit; it didn't matter that she had spent months gathering the silk from the silk spiders, painting it from Halcyon's feathers. It was just clothes. A frustrated puff of air came from her mouth and blew her hair out of her face.
"Thank you Aedan. You are a true gentleman," she smiled softly towards him and reached out to hold his hand. The summer heat from her body into his hand to rid him of the winter freeze in his arm, "I hope that feels better."
And yet no sooner were the words out of her mouth, then she felt a gust of icy wind blow all over her leaving her skin dusted with ice particles. Her fists clenched, as she slowly turned to her sister and the icy particles began melting off her. Trying to keep her calm, Aislinn forced a summer smile to her lips and looked at her sister, "Leylia, we need to go meet the Seelie delegation before we go meet the Unseelie. You two....genetlemen are welcome to come along."

The Seelie fae smiled his thanks at Aislinn, and when Caprice blew ice at her his brow creased in a frown though a smile stayed on his lips.
"Hey there, friend," Aedan said mildly but reproachfully, throwing a restraining arm around Caprice's shoulder; had he been another Summer fae, it would've been a friendly gesture, but Caprince being the Unseelie he was Aedan's touch probably burned as much as Aedan felt cold. "Let's be courteous -- honor the truce, yes?"
He withdrew his arm and draped it around Aislinn's shoulders instead, the action meant as much to help warm her as it was to regain feeling in his own limb.

Things seemed to be going as per the norm as Drizz made his appearance in the festivities. Plenty of banter back and forth between the two courts and more than enough mischief to go around the world twice. The Dryad still was wondering why he thought to show up at all given how he was not one for all the frivolities that went on with others of his kind, and of his opposite kind.
Drizz was a spirit of nature and enjoyed just watching the flora and fauna around him go about their daily lives. The occasional scare to frighten away some retched hunter but other than that he dabbled little in the comical doings of his kin. Still he was here and would at least enjoy himself while the time was now. With a smile and a inward sigh he made his way over to where all the commotion seemed to be gathering.
"Good festival everyone, hope I'm not too late."

He grinned knowingly as Leylia pulled away as quickly as possible after he healed, "perhaps not yet. But we have a very long lifetime, lover."
One eyebrow raised annoyed at the one called Aedan. He was putting up with the man until he slung his arm around his shoulders as if they were comrades, he hissed at the pain from the temperature extremes; he practically growled as the fae removed his arm, "Merely, helping to clean the lady's dress my friend."
Pushing back his cloak, his toned arm were revealed with the two spikes that grew from his forearms, magnanimously he held out one arm for Leylia to take as he listened to the little summer fae rave about some meeting with the Seelie court (honestly how important could that be?).
"Then by all means, let us meet them, so the festival may begin."

"You keep saying so, but it doesn't make it true." Leylie turned away from Caprice, glancing over her ice-cold shoulder to cast a daring look his way, and then back to her sister. She was about to respond to her sister's reminder of their duties when Aedan wrapped his arm over her shoulder and Leylia growled angrily, then stepped forward to slap it away quickly. She knew exactly how easily the summer fae allowed their passions to take hold and she would not let her sister be seduced by some frilly fool. "Stuff the truce. Touch her again and you'll pull back stumps you.. you.. "
Flustered beyond words, driven to a rising cold rage by her protective instinct of her sister, Leylia whirled on the newcomer unfairly. "Another Seelie?" Briskly, she took her sister's arm instead of Caprice's. "Let's get going, sister. Before I loose my temper." The only greeting she offered the dryad was a glare, one which she passed on to Aedan as well for good measure. Whatever "warm" feelings were stirred by Caprice's sudden, and alluring, presence was quickly being doused with her own cold shoulder towards the other fae.

"Touchy!" Aedan protested teasingly, though he withdrew his arm and took a step away from Aislinn when Leylia slapped his hand. He was already feeling better for the other Summer fae's proximity. "You very kind and compassionate Fae?" the Seelie offered, finishing Leylia's sentence. To her sister, he whispered conspiratorially with a wink, "I don't think your sister likes me very much."
"Late, friend? No -- early, I'd say," Aedan raised his voice to greet the dryad with a smile and a nod of acknowledgement. He didn't stick around to chat, though, intent on following the sisters as he was.

"And there goes a lass you never want to be on the bad side of lads," Caprice his fangs showing as if he knew secrets no one else in the whole world knew. His gaze followed the object of his affection with an amused gaze at such a tiny display of her temper; he was pretty sure they were luck they didn't get an early frost. If the legends were true, the Sisters were not to be pushed. Leaning against a tree, his arms crossed the Unseelie fae looked over at the newest traveler, "A dryad? Hmmm, a welcome change to the constant barrage of fae we endure even if you are a Seelie. What brings you to Festival this year? I imagine the changing of season into Unseelie hands is not usually a joyful occasion for your kind?"
With a sweep of his arm, he made an unspoken offer to the dryad to walk with him in trailing the rest of the group.

It took more then a few moments to get Leylia to stop dragging her behind her. It wasn't that her sister was stronger then her, it was that they were equally strong. So when they did "fight" it always ended in a draw of some kind. Exploits of her sister's temper had trickled down the fae vine even into the Seelie court, and she knew very very few people could calm her down, and Aislinn was one of those few. That being of course that they were blood related from human to fae; soothing words, warm magic and sisterly love that was her recipe and it always helped. Their fingers entwined, Aislinn kept up a steady chatter to keep the attention away from the stream of men following them.
"So tell me about your suitor," her ocean blue eyes twinkled mischievously. It was rather obvious what the horned fae's intentions were, and as long as they didn't mate for life she wouldn't fight the union.

Leylia leveled a raised eyebrow an stern lip at her sister before looking forward again as they walked together. "He's not my suitor. Whatever he suits isn't even my business." Of course it wasn't true, and if any one else dared to make her jealous by attempting to steal his attention away she knew that she'd rip their throats out, Seelie or Unseelie. She sighed then, knowing that her sister would read her thoughts as easily as before they'd been Fae, and resigned herself to a slight admission. "He's devilishly handsome, as you saw, and he knows it. He's charming, deliciously dastardly, and he could have any of the other Unseelie bitches if he wanted to... but he wants me, and as long as he wants me I'm happy to keep him wanting." She winked at her sister, and then shrugged as she sobered. "As you know, there's not many Unseelie that can boast the looks that Caprice and I were born with so there doesn't leave much choice between use anyhow."
Without letting any hint of jealousy or bitterness show, Leylia turned to look over her shoulder at the roan fae that had followed them. "If you're going to keep following us then you may as well walk with us, Aedan."

Bouncing, bounding, frolicking, flying, along through the air at the head of the Seelie procession, Kelsiam (or 'Siam') for short, tumbled along as if riding the wind itself. Of course, riding the wind would be a feat indeed for the small, furred, brownie. She had never had wings, never needed them, because where she lacks the limbs to carry her up she did not lack the reach or the energy to pull herself up and throw herself back down just as fast. Wind was not her ally in flight, but her own coiled muscles, the branches of trees, the soft and yielding grass, and, when available, the shoulders and heads of taller fae.
Standing nearly two heads shorter than any fae she had ever met outside of other brownies, Siam made up for her lack of height with a robustness of presence.
Currently defying the human laws of physics with her speed and acrobatics, and the laws of the universe with her levels of excitement, Siam ripped herself away from the procession as she glimpsed Aislinn in the distance. She'd always loved Aislinn, her beauty, her kindness, and most importantly her stories, and was much the reason that she did not spend much time hanging around with the other brownies. As her speed picked up, she was nearing Aislinn faster than she had expected and she stuck out her tongue, laughing merrily as she called out the other fae's name, "Aislinnnnnn!!"
Far too fast to tackled Aislinn herself without doing serious injury to both of them and the earth, Siam giggled as she jumped up and over her and the other fae -- whom she did not realize until the last second was of the winter court -- and was so distracted by her speed, her excitement, and the realization that this was Aislinn's sister (the sisters!) that she didn't manage to pull her hands back in time before placing them down to vault, one on Aislinn's shoulder and the other on Leylia's.
With a dog-like whine she cried at the touch of Leylia's skin, her own magic nothing compared to the Sister's, and didn't managed to stop herself from tumbling and tackling directly into the fae behind them whom, thankfully, was a summer fae.
Always remembering her manners, taught to her by Aislinn, Siam sat up on the now horizontal male fae and grinned. "Thank you for catching me!" Grabbing the front of his attire, Siam flung herself down and nuzzled him vigorously, "thankyouthankyouthankyou!"

Aedan grinned cheekily; "Well, if you're offering!" he had time to chirp before he was bowled into and knocked over by an over-enthused brownie. "Oof." It wasn't so much as a word as it was simply the air in his lungs being forcibly expelled.
Propping himself up on his elbows, Aedan craned his neck so as to get a look at the brownie on top of him without accidentally unseating her. Her weight didn't bother him in the slightest, now that he had the wind back in his lungs, though the force of her running straight into him had been enough to throw him off-balance. Possibly bruised him, too.
"You're welcome darling, though I didn't really do much."

Siam couldn't easily be convinced that anything was less than amazing, and so she shook her head vigorously while also grabbing the front of the male Fae's tunic and shaking him. "But you're so wrong! You were AWESOME!" To assert her conviction, she gave him a great hug.. and then, because it was difficult for her to be in any one spot for any length of time, she bound up off of him and twirled to face Aislinn. A sharp pain in her furry brown tail made her wince, but she was far too excited to see her friend.
"Aislinn! Aislinn! I found you! I told you I would find you and I did, didn't I? I'm so good at finding people you know!" All through her ramble she was literally bouncing on the spot, but she froze and turned back to Fairy she'd landed on with a look of pure dismay as she realized that the sharp pain in her tail was from hitting him in the face as she jumped up. "Oh, I'm so sorry!!" She truly was, looking to be on the verge of crying as she apologized, because she hated making bad impressions when Aislinn had always taught her to be polite (a remarkable feat for a brownie.)

Siam's tail didn't hurt so much as it tickled, though he gave an oof with every one of her energetic bounces. When she stopped jumping up and down on him -- he was very lucky she was just a small brownie -- her tail smacked him across the face one last time as she turned to apologize, nearly in tears.
Aedan sneezed.
"It's - " another sneeze "- okay. You're small."
And then he dissolved into more sneezes, lowering himself off his elbows and letting his head fall against the grass.
