'Crap....' he thought to himself. 'Way to impress the lady, Saluki...
He blushed in his own embarassment and nodded, quickly coming up with a clever response. "Then... I'll do it so you don't get your lovely coat dirty." He smiled sweetly, hoping it at least mended any ill thought she had of him now.
He stepped outside of the cave and moved a bit of a ways from her before pulling his blanket off his back and whipping his head in such a way that it smacked against a nearby tree, beating the dirt and dust out of it with some skill. He then did one extremely vigorous shake to do the same to his coat before flopping the blanket back upon his body and galloping his way back beside her.
"I really am sorry about that. I..." his ears swiveled nervously about him head. "I had no idea."
He made sure not to travel too close to her for fear he might upset her again.

Alejandra was actually quiet distracted by the stallions compliment. She wasn't really around other Soq so she never got anything like that. He thought her coat was lovely? She couldn't help the small smile that arose on her face from that, turning her head at the sound of a loud thunk she observed the patched stallion beating the dirt out of his blanket and then shaking himself off. Did her comment about not liking dirt offend him? She frowned.
"It's alright, you didn't know." she told the male reassuringly, continuing on at a steady pace. She was a bit excited to move into this cave now, though she wasn't too thrilled with Saluki's idea of keeping others away... maybe she could figure something else out? She didn't think that she could ever bring herself to willingly get dirty...
It didn't take very long before her home was within sight through the trees, the abandoned teepee out in the middle of a grassy plain on the edge of the beautiful forest.

He nodded, following her in silence until the teepee came into sight. "Is that it?" he asked before prancing a few feet ahead of her to peer inside.
"Oh wow...." He awed at her collection. She wasn't kidding. It'd be a few trips with just his blanket being put to use. However... the amount of precious treasures she had collected wasn't what stunned him into his gawking silence. It was the wide array of them. There were gems, jewelry... you name it.
"You found all of this...?" he gestured to the stuff inside the teepee with a shrug of his shoulders, "... around here?" He grabbed his blanket once more and lowered it to lay flat upon the ground. However... when it came to start piling stuff up in the middle, he wasn't sure where he wanted to start.
"This is..." he stammered for a moment. "... Amazing!" he chuckled. "I almost envy your treasure hunting skills."
He found the few small crystals she had brought in recently and gently picked them up to set them in the middle of blanket. He then began to do the same with alot of the rest, making sure to be very careful with moving them. In fact, he managed to only use his lips for most of them.

Alejandra watched with pride at Saluki's reaction to her collection. Her chest puffing out like a foal who had just gotten praised for something. She was proud of her collection, if you couldn't tell. "Yes, I found it all. Not just around here though. I travel all over the place." she said with a huge grin on her face.
She watched anxiously for a moment as he began moving things, prancing around and looking from different angles, once she was certain he wasn't going to break her treasures she began to help, carrying stuff gingerly and nosing them into the middle of the blanket. There really was a lot of stuff, and while most of it was light, it had to be she carried it all home in her mouth after all, she didn't know how much a large pile of it would weigh... She took a moment and paused in her nosing, taking in the form of the stallion making his way back to the pile of stuff. He was certainly strong looking, she didn't see why it would be a problem...

He managed to get a reasonably decent sized pile of things in his blanket. Once he felt there was enough in it, he pulled up the corners to the top of the pile then gathered them all within his mouth. He carefully lifted the bundle then smiled. It was about the same weight of that basket he had been carrying. This would be easy.
He set it back down and looked at the remaining pile. "It'll take a couple of trips, but we can do it." He smiled. "Follow behind me. In case any somehow fall out, you'd be able to pick them back up." He quickly continued. "Nothing should fall though." He gave a wink to assure her then lifted the bundle back up. Once he was sure he had it securely, he began back down the path to the cave. One of his ears flicked back to ensure she was following.

Alejandra smiled at the male as he carefully tested the weight of the blanket in his mouth. Looking at him in concern when he told her to follow behind in case he dropped something. But... he shouldn't drop something... She gave him a worried look, eying her treasures all wrapped up in his blanket dubiously before noticing that he had already begun to move and following quickly behind him, her eyes on the ground, and the blanket, to watch if anything fell on the way there.

He managed to make it all the way to the cave without dropping a single piece. He took a small bit of pride in that and even puffed up his chest a bit after setting the blanket down on the cave floor.
"There. See? I told you I wouldn't drop anything." he smiled then set to work placing things along the backside of the cave.

Following the orange male the whole way, Alejandra was very happy that he hadn't dropped anything, smiling a bit as he seemed quiet proud of that fact. She didn't blame him, she wouldn't have been able to go half as fast as he did and still not drop anything from that blanket. He'd had a lot of practice she guessed.
"I'm glad you didn't drop anything." she told him with a smile and began to help him move things from the blanket, pausing when she figured out that this would be a perfect opportunity to sort all her treasures into matching piles and smiling excitedly, going from the little spots Saluki was putting thing and putting them each into matching piles, bumping into the patched stallion a few times by mistake and blushing with embarrassment each time.

"I... had some practice." he smiled awkwardly. Last time he mentioned to a Soq that he carried around a basket, there was an immediate assumption that the basket was his. He didn't want to have either of them to go through that embarassment.
A few blushes grazed his features on the first bump or two, but after a while they brought smiles to his face. It was almost comical... but cute in a weird and ... attractive sort of way....
He shook his head as he went back for some more and watched her briefly. He quickly picked up on what it was she was doing and began to bring the items to their designated places.
Once that was done, he gathered up the blanket and took it outside to beat it against the tree before flopping it onto his back. "Ready for round two?" he chuckled, standing at the entrance and watching her add finishing touches.

Alejandra didn't have much time to question how he had practice... actually she was a bit distracted. She only barely heard the male, she was intent on sorting her collections. Thoughts of what should go where. Should she sort things that looked the same together, or maybe instead she would sort them into piles of soft and hard, versus shiny... She had settled on sorting them into things that were the same and looked alike, feathers with feathers, pebbles and rocks together, jewels with the crystals and other jewels, and so on and so forth, she was making her way back to the blanket only to now notice that it was gone and Saluki was standing in the entrance of the cave.
Oh yes! That made sense now. Had they really sorted through all that stuff already?? "Round two it is then." she said with a smile and pranced out of the cave, excited to situate herself in her new home and glad for this stallions help. "Thank you very much, Saluki." she called back to the male, as her happy prancing had put her a bit ahead of the stallion.

He chuckled a bit as he gave her the space to prance - if only for a moment. "You do that rather well!" he finally chimed upon catching up to her. He blushed faintly at his sudden bravery.
He snorted a bit to divert the attention from his pinked cheeks and gently nudged her side with his nose. "Can't catch me!" he grinned and took off at a run. Why not have some fun!
He played this often with his human. Though he was almost sure that it would be more fun with another Soquili. He only hope she would catch on and chase after him.

Alejandra looked over her shoulder at him, a grin on her face at the compliment and keeping her gaze on the male as he caught up to her and nudged her. A faint blush of her own crept up onto her cheeks at the contact from the handsome male. But then he was running off through the forest and she grinned at his antics, "Yes I can!!" she called after him and broke into a gallop.
The winding path probably wasn't the best course for her to take, considering there wee trees, and dirt, at every turn. It slowed the painted mare down considerably, though she liked to think she wasn't far behind. However, a grin slowly crept onto her face as she saw the opening of the path and Saluki entering into the wide open field at the edge of the forest. She would catch him for sure out there and she picked up her pace, her eyes trained on the orange and white male as she approached the forest exit.

He slowed only slightly as he broke into the open field and grinned playfully over his shoulder. She was playing along and Yes! It was more fun. Humans were always so slow.
He gave a happy whinny as he continued to slow, falling into a mix of a trot and a gallop. He wanted her to catch up to him eventually. Otherwise all the fun would be lost. He looked the other way and acted as if he was so very sure of himself to not get tagged back.
He saw the Teepee up ahead and dodged around behind it, quickly stopping and peering around it to look back at her again teasingly.

Alejandra smirked as she broke into the ope field as well, picking up her pace again now that she could be sure that she wasn't going to run into a tree. Saluki was still ahead of her and she heard his happy whinny and answered with one of her own and she took a moment and a deep breath, jumping over a rock she had seen and spreading her wings out in the same motion, the large feathered appendages pulling her body upwards as it looked like she was running in the air for a moment and she flapped again, gaining altitude as Saluki made it to her teepee and hid behind it. She would catch him even if she had to land on him darn it!!
She smiled and circled around the teepee he had hid behind before landing and darting around the edge of it, intent on tagging the male back.

When looking back he found a puzzling sight....
She wasn't there... He could have sworn he saw he make it into the field... and he knew he had heard her hooves pounding closer behind him... but now...?
Both ears swiveled forward as he stepped back around the teepee curiously.
"A-... Alejandra....?!" he asked, now starting to get worried.
Of course... he never thought to look up. He was a clever Soq, but for some reason he didn't think that wings on a soq would allow that particular soq to fly. So looking up in this case never even crossed his brain. Poor guy was going to be in for a shock.
