Open for posting~!
If you own an existing member, use the join form, just skip the stuff about why you're joining. There has been a HUGE overhaul of the herd, so be sure to look over the front page. And insofar as I know, we're still at war with Moloch's herd. >D Old members can post forms as they find their way here, at no penalty. All old members are assumed to still be in the herd, unless otherwise specified.
New members are also welcome~!
New clans are welcome, just be sure to look over the front page and talk to folks first so we know who's going to be in which clan. ^^; Any Star who joined the herd and then joined a clan that formed after that Star joined the herd doesn't have to post a form again, I'll adjust the lists when I add the clan. 3nodding
So post away~! Pictures will be added as things progress. ^^
Be sure to read the front page. Just put sunburst somewhere on your form, so I know you read. ^^

Description: the Burning Sun clan is a clan for champions. They tend to be a bit more aggressive than other clans. They are united by a strict sense of honor and a passionate dislike of Moloch. The Code of the Burning Sun is a code of honor that members of the Clan are expected to know and to follow. (Still working on it; it'll probably be something about who and when you can attack, whether or not you're allowed to kill, when you should press the advantage, that sort of thing. It will probably favor a more chivalrous nature, but without the inherent sexism.) Any star who wants to join is allowed to join as long as Sepaia is convinced that the star in question can at least defend themself. If they need more training, more training will be provided. Other than champions (and scouts, of course), the Burning Sun is looking for a druid and a couple of bards. The Code of the Burning Sun:
1. Defend the Sunflare Herd, even with your life.
. a. If the clans of the herd were to turn on each other, the side that is right is the side that the Royal Sun takes, unless the Royal Sun is acting dishonorably.
2. Do not trespass into another herd’s territory unless it is with their permission.
. a. In the unlikely circumstance of a pre-emptive strike being required against an enemy herd, permission is not necessary, but a direct challenge must be issued.
3. Nans, granddas, and bairns are the past and future of the herd. They deserve protection more than any other star.
4. No star may be trained in combat until they are adolescent.
. a. An adolescent must know some basic self-defense before they can be fostered out.
5. Fosterlings should be as dear to their foster parents as the parents’ own bairns.
. a. Neither a parent’s bairn nor a foster child may be valued over the other.
6. Before the Noon, a soon-to-be champion must complete a patrol around the Burning Sun’s area in silence.
7. Should the Righ and Rhia have no children of their own, a champion must be made princeling or lady until such a time as the Righ and Rhia have a bairn together.
. a. If their bairn should leave the clan, the old substitute will be made heir once more.
. b. If their bairn should die, a new substitute is chosen.
8. Of Righ and Rhia, once must always be a champion.
9. No member of the clan may neglect a bairn, nan, or grandda in trouble, even if the individual is from another herd.
. a. If the individual is from a hostile herd, the individual must be kept under watch and escorted out of the clan as soon as it is safe.
10. The word of the Ard-Righ and Rhiannon are law, and the Rhigh and Rhia are their voices.
11. An honorable champion need not kill to win a battle unless it is necessary or the opponent is beyond honor. (Pretty sure killing isn’t allowed in the shop anyway…)
. a. Killing is only allowed in combat. Outside of combat, it is forbidden no matter what the circumstance.
12. In combat, any advantage must be pressed; outside of combat, no weakness may be exploited, even of a hostile herd.
. a. For example: if an enemy star is injured, by all means, use that injury to your advantage if you’re currently engaged in combat with him/her or his/her herd.
. a. However, if, say, you got word that Moloch is ill and his herd is too weak to fight, because we are not actively fighting him at the moment, we aren’t allowed to “pay him a visit.”
13. In times of peace, artisans, champions, and bards all hold equal rank. Only in the most dire of circumstances may champions outrank any other rank below Righ and Rhia.
14. Any herd whose intention it is to destroy Sunflare, such as the Shadow Herd (Moloch’s herd), is beyond honor and any force may be used against them without breach of honor—except when this violates rules 2, 9, and 12.

She befriended Lughnasadh very early on, but still felt shy of him until they met Istalindir, who became Ash's mate and Lughnasadh's friend and partner in starting the Sunflare Herd. She watches the sky every night in hopes that her family will someday join her. She used to miss them a lot, but her daughter Gwen has brought her out of her shell, as has Ista. She also used to only sing or recite poetry in her lovely voice only when she was alone, but after Gwen was born, Ash began to sing whenever she was happy, a very big step forward in a positive direction. These Nova were shrouded in mystery because they never came up to the surface. However, they were hunted and the whole clan killed.
