Why weren't his clearly thoughtful and obvious words working? Mac didn't understand where he went wrong. Okay, yes he did, but still. She should stop crying like, now. Please. When trying to pry her off failed - in fact, why was she holding tighter? She was a spider, not a snake! - he resorted to extreme measures.
"No, seriously, stop crying!" He tried. "Jack's ribs! Stop it!" And tried again. Until, eventually:
"It's fine, It's fine! I'm not upset, Just...WILL YOU PLEASE STOP CRYING ALREADY?!" It was loud, it wasn't very nice, he still sounded desparate to get her to stop, but at least he said please?

"I-I'lltreatyoutolunch," She offered hesitantly before looking up as she loosened her grip somewhat, wiping at her tears using the back of her hand as she took in a deep breath at his words; he wasn't gentle, but the word 'fine' seemed to have a positive effect on her. While she didn't stop right away, and was still holding onto his arm, her sobs were soon reduced to sniffs instead as she assessed the situation.
Of course, this posed another problem.
She realized that she was holding onto the arm of a boil - her face went red at this - and that boil happened to be someone who probably hated her guts (even more). Her mind then went back to the Scareon pup she had been holding before - his Scareon pup - as she looked up with a rather pathetic expression on her red face, eyes wide as she stared at him, "P-puppy." He would soon realize that she was addressing him.

Lunch?
Mac had never once passed on free food, not in his entire life. Granted, this was the first time a Demon was treating him to lunch. An upset and currently wailing Demon ghoul. He wasn't sure how he felt about that. The wailing seemed to stop slowly, and now that she wasn't snake-gripping his arm he stopped trying to forcefully get her to let go...as tempting as it was to push her away and be done with it, he was sure Rosenthal would do more than leave scratch marks on his face.
He watched on in confusion as her expressions shifted from one to the next, her tear-stained face growing more and more red. What was going on?! Why was she doing that?! He was getting less confused and more worried; was she going to go Brown Recluse on him? Just, bite him and leave her poison behind?! Mac was just about to struggle for his arm back when she said something.
Wait. What?
"...Puppy?" He repeated, baffled once more with his dark eyes wide. What the jack did THAT mean?

Oh good, his owner stopped crying! Rosenthal rubbed his cheek against Lizzy's neck with a soft purring-like sound before glaring at Mac again. His eyes narrowed as he shook a tiny paw-fist (it looked cool when characters on skelevision did it) at Mac, warning him that he would not hesitate to attack him again if Lizzy cried again.
"Rosenthal..." She managed a small smile at the cheek rub as she wiped away what's left of her tears, straightening up as she slowly released the Reaper's arm. Taking in a deep breath to calm herself, Lizzy took a step back, still red faced. Looking rather unsure of herself, she started to twirl a lock of pink hair around her fingers.
What to say, what to say, what to-
"You're a puppy," She finally stated in a matter-of-fact manner, her face color returning to its usual shade; in her mind, it made sense - it was like when she patted Jericho when he was a dragon! Of course, she had a feeling he wouldn't just take it as that. After a thoughtful pause, she added, "You're a puppy inside even if you pretend not to be one." Then again, maybe she just made it worse...

"..."
Mac was, actually, speechless. Not because what she had to say was moving or emotional in any way, shape or form...but because it didn't make sense. Not one bit. He was a Puppy, even though he pretended to not be one? Frowning even more, he stared down at her.
"...There is no pretending, I'm not a dog." He grumped, happy at least that she had let him go. So he had his jacket, the pup was returned to him, and she had stopped crying. "Is that all, then?" He said point-blank, mostly because he wanted her to leave him alone now.
Forever would be nice.

"You're not a dog. You're a puppy," She repeated herself with a slight frown, stressing on the 'puppy' part as she held tightly onto Rosenthal to prevent it from launching itself at the boil. She then paused, staring at him before eventually nodding, "Uh, yes...?"
Right, she should leave now.
Looking past him and into his room, she noticed the Scareon pup from before and raised a hand, wiggling her fingers at it in a sort of wave, "I'll see you again~" Then, looking up at Mac, she offered him a sheepish smile, "And you too..." He probably never want to see her again though.
Hugging Rosenthal to her chest like he was a plush toy, she dipped her head and quickly walked away; that boil... Really is not that bad of a person, is he?
