ON THE CIVILIAN:
For his gardening hobby, there are still a few lines that cross the line between curiosity and sociopath tendencies. Here are the ones in question:
Quote:
It's not that he's planning to poison someone, or someones, but he finds it amusing how easy it is to have a deadly weapon right in his hands, and no one has a single clue. Really, in this day and age with all kinds of laws regulating weapons and no one ever thought to regulate plants? Have people not paid attention to how many murders have been committed, a lot by females, using poisons derived from plants? These deadly plants are ones most people would never look at twice, they may even have them themselves.
I think it is good to mention that he is not intending to poison anyone, but everything that follows after that is just too strongly associated with what would, again, be a closet sociopath. Prune this down to say that he has no intention to poison anyone, but he does take pride in his ability to work with these deadly plants since many others might not be able to do so safely. I feel like this is the happy medium between someone who gets a thrill from working with deadly plants and someone who screams serial killer.
I think you have fixed the blatant problems with the virtues/flaws. You have written him as a very difficult character -- one that will be a snob to, it seems, most everyone. People like that do exist! I just wanted to point out it may be hard to RP a character with others when you write him as so very unbearably condescending. Otherwise, the flaws/virtues do not contradict each other and are, therefore, acceptable.
ON THE NEGA:
Acceptable, yes!
