Vivina giggled. "Yep! A wabbit! Hop hop hop!" She danced in circles and hopped all around. "Okies, yuur turn aggen!" She stopped spinning and sat on the floor, slightly dazed, and looked up at Laial to see what he'd do next.
Et nodded. "Yes it is. Vivina laughed when the rockets failed. I don't know why, but I think she's been watching a bit too much cartoons." She blinked a few times and gazed at nothing in particular for a moment. "I've seen it a long time ago, but I tend to forget what happens easily. I only know the basic summary of the movie." She laughed hesitantly and played with her hair again.

Laial grinned at getting it right. Now it was his turn! "Hmm..." he thought before an idea flashed in his head. He got onto his hands and knees and pretended to 'graze' on the carpet. He threw in a "Muuu!" to add effect.
"I know what you mean. Laial somehow found my Invador ZIM DVDs and he hasn't watched anything else since. Fortunetly, he has yet to figure out how to plug in the TV, so I'm forced to do that sometimes..." She chuckled lightly. "For me, there are parts that I can remember perfectly, and some that I don't remember at all. One of my little quirks. Out of question, what does Vivina watch for cartoons?"

Vivina stared at Laial for a moment. She knew what animal he was pretending to be since she did see it one of the Baby Einstein audion books. She closed her eyes and picture the animal. A black spotted white figure with horns and a fairly rectangular body appeared. "K...K...um...the beeg lumpy things at the farms...cows! Cow go muu!" It took her a while to figure it out, but she remebered the farm from the books. She giggled and moo-ed some more just for fun.
"Hehe...The TV in my house is a flat screen attatched to the wall. Vivina somehow got her hands on the remote one day and now look where she is. She even has the habit of climbing the CD case next to the TV to press the power button when she can't find the remote." She laughed at the thought and flipped her hair. "Vivina tends to go for the nature stuff like animal planet and such, but she often watches Fairly Odd Parents and Magical DoReMi. She has a liking to magic and tries to do magic tricks. I can see her in her room using a pencil as a wand and using Mr. Floppy as her bunny in the hat. Her audience is often me and a bunch of other dolls."

"Uh-huh!" Laial grinned. "Mah-jee says dey dumb! See says dey aw uhgwy too!" He stuck his toungue out. "Ee dun dink see leik dem," he added sagely. HE grinned again. "Yuw tuwn!!"
"Mmm...Animal planet. Should be the official channel of D-Corp," Maji joked. "Heh...interesting kid, then. Laial has a few stuffies, but not as many as I had growing up. Thanks for that..." She shook her head. "I don't get cable or satellite here, so I mainly stick to DVDs."

"Cows sit and eet all dae. I git bored wattcheeng them." She jumped when Laial said that it was her turn. She pondered for a moment, pacing back and forth. Then she got an idea. She ran over to the toy chest and opened it to find something. She finds a hat, no, a crown. She wore it on her head and got down on all four. She opened her mouth wide and let out a long and dramatic roar, tossing her head side to side to fluff up her hair. "RAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWRRRR!!! I hungree!"
Et laughed out loud and nearly fell off her chair. "I wonder if they have it on the hidden TVs around the facility." She wiped a tear from the corner of her eye and let the remaining laugh out. "Sometimes I think I'm spoiling Vivina. She has a lot of books and toys and I sometimes wonder if I bought too much. But then again, she likes reading and learning as well as having fun." She shrugged at a thought. "Since I live near the countryside, the nearest place to buy or rent DVDs is like 5 miles away, not including the walk only short cut through the fields. That's only about 3 miles. That's why I bother to buy more than I have to. That way I don't have to travel very far frequently." She realized how each of their lives were similar and different and smiled as she thought of what other interesting things would come up in this converesation.

Laial thought again, trying to think of all the animals he had seen in his picture book. "A kee? Wa kin o kee? A leopar? Nuu...cheah? Nuu..." he muttered, thinking out loud. "Ahh! A leo!!!" he exclaimed. Maji had told him about Leos before! She had said that Leo was late july, early august, and was in the American jyuunishi. "Du yu no jyuu-ni-shi?" he asked, making sure to pronounce it correctly. He screwed it up a lot.
"I wouldn't be surprised. It has to be incredibly boring there." Maji ended it there. In her head, questions about D-Corp started growing like bunnies. Like what it was, how they chose her to participate in the New Years event... "Say Et, what did you make of the New Years party-like thing at D-Corp?" Maji asked, her eyes staring at something, something that it seemed like no one else could see.

Vivina giggled and sat up. "Yep! I a laion!" She took the crown off and placed it back in the chest. She turned around and skipped back to her spot. "Jyuu-nee-shee? I tink I heard mommy tauk abut that on the phone...I dun know what it is tho..." She frowned and placed a finger to her head to depict that either she was confused or she was thinking.
"Yes, it must." She went silent also and pondered on the events last month. She had come to the party late, but just in time for a surprise raffle she was drawn into by a random person in a labcoat. She still hasn't found out who he is and that thought had appeared from the back of her mind, making her slightly irritated. She looked up at Maji who was staring at something off in the distance. "That party? I honestly thought I was being kidnapped when I was dragged in to 'kiss' the D-techs. I was shocked at first and later found out they were merely tickets with their pictures on them...I was utterly confused when my ticket was drawn at the end. Later I was given Vivina to take care of in the backroom where I also thought I was being kidnapped." She paused as she realized that that was really a silly idea since why would a bunch of public people be kidnapped? "Besides all that, I thought I enjoyed the party with the refreshments and all. The other party guests were polite and easy to start a conversation with."

Laial wiggled excitedly. "The Jyuu-ni-shi ith base ohwn stawz an yeaws yu whewe bohn. Maji say see dink dat I wa bohn bout 2 yeaws go so I be ahn 'Monkey'. See say dat see dun no fur sur, doh." He paused, inhaling again. Then a thought entered his head. "Was yur nahme? Me nahme Laial," he offered, saying his name like 'Lyle'.
"Mmm?" Maji asked. "Did you go to the late one? The one I went to was slightly different..." she drifted off as she started remembering the event...and almost immedietly wishing she hadn't. She shuddered.

Vivina's eyes opened widely. "Thas cool! I tink I was born two yees ago too..." She paused and jumped up and down like a monkey. "I a monkey too!" She dropped onto her bottom by accident and started to giggle. "Mai name? Ish Vivina. Vih-vee-nah...I tink thas how yuu say it. Mommi calls me Vivi lots so I got confoos'd at first." She nodded her head as if she were thinking really hard.
"Yes, I think it was the late one. I didn't know there was another one earlier until after the one I went to." She sighed and glanced at Maji again, who seemed to be off in dreamland. She looked towards the stove and grimaced as the kettle was whistling quite loudly, hurting her ears a bit. "Um, I think the water is ready..."

"Ahh. Vih-vee-nah." Laial also nodded his head. "Dew yu haf sibwings?" He knew he had Nexen, which Maji had said was his younger sister. He wondered if Vivina got along with her siblings, if she had any. Maji had said she didn't have siblings.
"Wha?" Maji snapped out of it, only to hear the kettle. "Oh. Right." She got distracted far too easily. Taking the kettle off the burner, she began to pour it into some cups. After pouring hot water, the tea bags went inot the cups. She started to stir the bags in idly. "Sorry about that. Sometimes, I just...zone."

Vivina pondered on this a bit. "Uhm...mommy says I gots one sibuling. His name is Colin. Me dun like him much caws he dun liek pink. 'sides, we no agree too much on tings." She shook her head and sighed.
Et giggled a bit and took a cup and played with the tea bag a bit. "Ah, it's ok. I do that myself sometimes. I sometimes fo it without me noticing. No one would notice for about ten minutes." She shrugged and smiled a bit.

"Dun li' pin'?" Laial repeated. How could they not? Sure, he didn't like bright pink like she probably did, but Maji always said coral, his favorite color, was a shade of pink. Actually, he didn't think Maji liked pink either. "I haf a seestew. Hew nahme Nexen. I dun li' hew da' mu' tho. Se bited mi." He extended one of his tentecles, and sure enough, there was a bite scar.
Maji took the other cup and sat down, idly stirring the tea bag into the water. "That happens sometimes. The busier I get, the less it happens, though." Well, that must mean she wasn't busy enough...or she still got distracted easily.

"Nohp! He liek blu an' silvur. Heez a fox cat boy. Mommy adopter'd heem. He plaees video gaims all day so I dun talk much to heem." She rolled her eyes and sighed. She then looked at his tentacle and rand her hand over it. She could feel the scar there and she flinched. "Thas horrubul! Gud thing I dun have biting teeth. Jus sharp enuh to eat chewy stuffs. Colin gots lots of sharp teeths. Heez scaree." She stuck her toungue out and made a noise of discontent.
Et sipped her tea as the bag finished diffusing the flavor thoughout the hot water. The tea was hot, but not hot as is burning your lips off hot. It was perfect in fact. Just hot enough to enjoy a cup without too much worry. "Really? I tend to zone out at any particular moment, whether it be during work, doing the dishes, watching TV, etc." Saying that revealed that Et was either bored all the time or she has a short attention span, the second being more true. That didn't mean that she was never bored. Sometimes sunny days seem boring to her as if it were raining out. Sipping her tea, she wondered if she had anything to do later that day.

"A faux? Nexen a faux!" he exclaimed. "Mom-Mahji adawpted Nexen to." He nodded, agreeing completely with what she said about biting. "Nexen nah scaree, see ju' anoing. Se twi to gwab mi cower shee'. Yu no, da one wif te le'ews ahn i'. A beeg stwaek se mahd." That was just yesturday, too.
Maji continued to stir her tea, trying to decide on what to say next. "What do you think of your charge?" Actually, the quesion startled Maji. What a strange question to ask.

Vivina nodded. "Tha sounds anoing much. Colin ish borin' to be arown'. He ge's too hipur n' mommy saez tha he eats too much shoogur. Heez oldur than me n' I dun liek tha'." She frowned and lashed her tail out in frustration. Yep, Colin and Vivina never seem to get along at all.
Et looked up from her tea. "Uh, wha?" What a strange question indeed. She tried to think of an answer that would make sense but her mind was wandering elsewhere and she just shrugged. Yep, what a perfect answer. Silence and a shrug. Et tried to focus again, but something at the back of her mind was telling her she needed to be doing something.
