~Entry 11~ Furst game today. I got to do lotsa runing. Wuz lotsa fun! Coatch say we look kool in the jurzies. They comffee. We run on dirt, so it dont hurt mai clawz. I verie fast, but otherz ar fast to. I get furst in one rase, and sekond in other rase. Aftr, we got to get pizza! Maieen had cheez and baykon. It wuz yummee yummee!!

Chadrick’s team had their first meet this afternoon. They did very well, about even with the other team. Chadrick came home with a first place ribbon as well as a second place one. We tied them onto the birdcage at his request. Twitch already ate part of the second place ribbon, but Chad doesn’t want to move them. He ran his little heart out at that meet. The interesting thing is, he also ran along with his teammates in the races he wasn't a part of, cheering them on. He's so adorable. I don't know if he'll be able to hold all that up though. I had to laugh at all the people with their jaws hanging down at how much he was running around and actually keeping up.
Afterward, we treated the boys to pizza. Chad was especially excited about that. He ate more than he should have (which he apparently left out of his writing) and ended up with a belly ache. I think he has learned his lesson; for a short time anyway. On the way home, a miracle occurred. I saw his head bobbing in the rearview mirror! He was tired after the track meet! I’m so happy… Is that wrong of me to say? Love the kid, but he could run a carousel crazy.

~Entry 12~ Gemmi is helpin me with reeding and riting. I no let her help with jurnal, cuz is my jurnal! Is like skchool, but at home and more fun. She much bettur then my class teachur. I dont like school. The adults there get angry at me when I dont sit still for as long they want. They want us to sit forever! They crazy. I said so, but then they sent me to principal and called Corny. She said it wuzn’t nice to call adults crazy, but what else can xplain theyr thinking?
After school, I come home and let my birds out to flie around the house. I want to make leeshes for them and let them flie outside, but Gemmi said it would no work. I give them lotsa seeds before I go to bed, and cleen the cage evree other night. I can cee they happy when they have cleen cage, and then I am happy. Corny and Gemmi happy too.
Oh, and Corny not allowed to rite in my jurnal no more! My jurnal!

~Entry 13~ I hate school! I never go back! One girl teased me, say I look dumb with fethurs. So I say she look dumb with those stupid huge kurls in her hair. Then she got all mad and told the teacher, and I got yelled at! She started it, and got in no trouble! And her kurls do look stupid. Make her head look big. Then they hafta go and call Corny! Stupid adults.
Corny told me to stay until class was over, but to stay away from girl. I say no problem, and I can see she try to hide laugh. She know I right. When home, Corny say that if another person starts fiyte, I need to finish it by telling them they is rude and walk away, and if other person keep hurasin harassing me, I gotta tell teacher. I not think teacher help though. Teacher dont like me cause I move a lot. She like kurly girl better. Corny also say the girl got her parents called too. Ha! I dont feel so bad no more now, but I still mad at school. Stupid school.
Corny tell me I hafe to go back tomarow. I gonna hide then, so I dont hafta go. Nope! Dont wanna, not gonna! No one make me go back! I get Gemmi to teach me. Gemmi nicer then teacher, and prettier. I think she help me.

~Entry 14~ My birds escaped their cage. I find them and they is safe, but Corny was mad. She say I have make sure every night before bed that the cage is locked. I don’t think I left it open. I think my birds are smart, espeshialee Klaw. He calm, so he can think. But they got out last night, and flew all over the house. I woke up and bird poop was all over. I tried to clean up before Corny woke up, cause she likes to sleep later then me, but she saw the poop. Bird poop sticks to carpet a lot. Had to scrub. I make extra sure the cage locked, just so I don’t hafta do that again.
School getting better. Girl keeps teasing me, and I try to stay away, but she makes me angry. I be sneaky though. One day she followin me around, teasing my fethurs, and I make sure to go by teacher without her nowing. Teacher herd stupid curl girl that time. Curls had to sit in the corner, and I got a little gold star sticker for being good boy. Other boys see gold star and want to play with me. We played tag for reesess. It was fun. Curls pouted whole time. Gemmi say it not nice to laugh when others are bad an get in trouble, but I think this time is okay.
I getting much faster on team. Some boys laff cause I really skinny. I show them! I'mma build lotsa muscle, so when I grow, I be bigger and stronger then them! I gonna show evryone how great I am!

~Entry 15~ Curls is so dumb! She gets angry cause I know how to write better then her, teacher told the class I has very nice writing. Now she teases even more! She did that really fast blink to teacher, so teacher say her writing is nice too. I was on swing for recess, and she pushed me off and say that as close to flying I ever get. Then she tugged on my feathers, and got her brother to pull them too! He has same stupid curls like her. None came out, but it still hurt. I say I done being nice and pushed them both. Not my fault they too dumb to stay standing. Curls cried cause her dress dirty, and Brother Curls just stare, like he think that scare me. They didn't tell on me. I don't know why. My friends were happy I did that. Tell me they have brothers who lift waits and not so skinny like me. I try that when I get chance to.
I told Gemmi. Not Corny, cause she will get mad at me for fiyting back, but just Gemmi. She got sad, but then say I be making enemees, like the bad guys in the storys she reads to me. I don't want enemee, but I not take being teased anymore. Corny and Gemmi both like me as me, and I like me. I just be tougher now. Don't wanna be picked on anymore.

~Entry 16~ I’m really fast now on my track team. Coach said I has lots of talent. I bringing home lots of blue ribbons now, because I’m finishing in first place lots. Corny and Gemmi say they are proud of me, and hang my ribbons on the wall in the main room. Some go in my bedroom, but no one else can see them in there. I like them where others can see how good I do. Coach said I am so good, I get to be Coach of the Day our next praktice! I still has to run laps, but for most of the time I get to help Coach. I get things for him, I help him pick what exercises to do, and I get to see if I can help out the other boys!
I asked coach about getting muscle, and he said I have body for lean muscle, not bulky like I want. He suggested a gym if I want bulky muscles. I went to a gym by school to try to get muscle like my friend’s brothers. They wanted money for me to use their stuff, and they wanted Corny with me! I don’t want Corny to know, so I have to find some other way to get stronger. Maybe if I lift just anything heavy? Maybe lifting heavy things not only make me strong to fight Brother Curls, but also make so I can fly! I need to find stuff around house to lift. Or maybe next time I go to a sleepover I can use their weight stuff.

~Entry 17~ One day after school, I met another kid like me. He has wings on his back instead of his arms though, and he's bigger. He is also a bully, but an odd one. He didn't pick on me until after helping me from Curls and her friends. He wasn't nice to me, but he said things that made me think. He say I don't need muscle to be stronger than others. He said sly and sneaky. I still want muscles, but I been practicing sneaky too. During track practice, I been taking other paths and running up behind my friends. I been jumping out from trees at them too. It is funny their faces after scaring them. They laugh too, but I think Curls and her friends will be surprised.
Something else. I think I'm gonna grow soon. Gemmi said she could feel when she was getting ready to grow, and my clothes are gettin kinda short for my arms and legs. I wonder what I'll look like. Will I be tall? Will I still be skinny? Or maybe I'll get more muscle. I don't wanna stay scrawny forever. Corny said I have to pick out new clothes, but I don't know what I want. I asked Gemmi to help, and she said she'll think about it. I wanna look tough though, no matter if I be skinny or muscley.

~Entry 18~ Chadrick is off to his friends' houses, enjoying how much taller he is now that he has grown. ...and I was once again absent. Unfortunately, it happened while he was in school. Apparently, he scared the teacher and most of his fellow students when it happened. Of course, I got called in because his clothing was suddenly inappropriate for school. We hadn’t gotten his new clothing yet, because he couldn’t decide on anything, after seeing certain reactions, he told me he wanted to keep what he had on. I swear, I’m not certain I’ll be able to handle a teenage boy who’s already eyeballing the women around him! He’s just become a teen! But anyway, I took him to the store after forcing him into some less fitted attire. After about an hour of searching (as he was impossible to keep focused) we finally- This is still my journal! I’m writing in it! Stupid adults are impossible! But yes, like Corny so RUDELY wrote before me, I grew! I’m much taller than my friends now. It’s kinda funny. So I had to get new clothes, because Corny’s a stiff and won’t let me wear what I had before. I was getting looked at by the cute girls! And not the stupid ones in my grade. The older, junior/senior grade girls! Hopefully they’ll like my new outfit. It’s a yellow flannel button down shirt. I already tore the sleeves off to keep my arms and wings free, so it’s more like a vest now, and the ragged edges look pretty cool. I don’t want to wear it buttoned at all though, (that’s square), so I have a black undershirt, and the undershirt is tucked into an awesome pair of dark green pants. I think I might be able to fly now, so I made sure there were no pockets on anything to drag me down. I also got a pair of biking gloves, because they looked neat.
My hair was hard to decide on as well. Nothing seemed right until I saw a tv show Corny and Gem were watching. One of the guys had really cool hair, so I went with that. It kinda looks like what I had before, but is better. Anyway, I have to go show it off a little more, because yes, I look awesome. ~Entry 19~ This is awesome! I grew and now I’m even faster than before. I remember how I used to want the bulky muscles to fight with, but now I see how stupid that was. Mine are what mom calls lean muscle, and strong if I say so myself, which makes it easier to fly around. The bulk would only weigh me down. I love flying around now. I’m still learning a lot about it, and can’t do too much, but I’m practicing a lot.
All these feathers are causing problems with the track team though. I have to really focus to make sure I don’t flap to try to make myself go faster, and the feathers add drag since I’m not using them right. They’re meant for flying, not running. Of course, now that I’m bigger, I had to test into the high school, so I’m not with my old friends. I’ll miss them a lot, but the new guys seem to like me. And no more being bothered by Curls and her brother! I actually grew right in front of them! Scared the heck outta them! Ha! It was a cold drive home though, since my old cloths definitely didn’t fit anymore. These new ones fit great though. Can’t wait to see what else my new body can do! I’m not the “little” brother anymore.
…I wonder if Gemmi and mom will still read to me sometimes though.

~Entry 20~ I’ll try to keep up with this journal, since mom seems to insist on it for some reason, but it’ll be hard now that I’m old enough to get out and do things on my own! And, come on. Journals are a bit lame for a guy in high school to be writing in. I don’t think any of the other guys have one. Though, I do still like writing in school. I like writing papers. Everyone else complains about them, but I think it’s fun.
It’s so cool to be tall now. I’m even taller than that guy Kris. Though, I don’t know how long it will last. I’d never say it to his face, but I think he’s going to be even worse when he grows. I hope he doesn’t get taller than me.. His muscles are surely going to be bigger, so I need something for myself! I still don’t know quite what I think of him. He did show me how to defend myself, which was better than going to the teacher every time, but something about him.. Gem tells me to stay away from him when he grows, but I don’t know. We’ll see.
Anyway, I still have Klaw and Twitch. I think they were confused when they first saw me after growing. They knew it was me, but I’m bigger than before. Klaw still like sitting on my shoulder, and Twitch still likes flying everywhere. It’s actually more fun now. Since they follow me around, I can take them flying with me and I don’t have to worry about them trying to leave. I’m thinking about getting another bird or two. Maybe something bigger than parakeets…

~Entry 21~ Dang it! Leave one set of bullies behind just to find another group of them, even though I'm cool with everyone else! Just like Curls did, they keep hassling me about my feathers. Which is stupid. My feathers are awesome. Those morons are making me angry though. The only reason I haven’t broken their noses yet is because I know it would disappoint mom and Gem if I got in a fight. I don’t want to do that, but a man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do. I’m not gonna to let them pick on me like Curls did. I’m in high school! They might be on the wrestling team, but let’s see them fight my talons off!
Speaking of bullies, it sounds like that blockhead Kris has grown. I haven’t seen him yet, but that’s fine with me. I knew it wouldn’t be long before he grew. What a pain… Maybe now he’ll be bored of calling me stupid names and find someone else to bother. At least I’ll be able to avoid him if I ever have to go over to Blue’s house again. I shouldn’t have to now that I’m grown, but mom can be dumb like that sometimes. She still hasn’t accepted that we’re not kids anymore. I guess a lot of parents do that though.
