Zinkenite looked frustrated, he hated it when he had to change his train of thought... he should have looked closer at the architecture ...because now he did it didn't match. Stupid to let himself go off on such a tangent. He started slightly to see the unfamiliar senshi... "The...past indeed..." He said frowning. What were they looking at...and why?

She watched the mirror curiously, removing her hand and stepping aside to let some of the shorter negaversers through. "I dont know..." She said with all the questions, and a nod towards Tanzanite as she would remember to watch out for mirrors in the future.
What possibly made her eyes grow wider... was the movement inside the mirror. Unhooking her lantern from its pole, she held it closer to the mirror. Possibly making it better to see? "Is that...a senshi?" She peered closer at the mirror... "The outfits seem so strange, dated." The cogs in her head were turning.. were they possibly looking into Elysions past?

"Guyssss, lemme see!" Jesus, just when he was proving that he could be quiet for longer than thirty seconds at a time, Scheelite just had to pipe up and move to drape himself all over Fayalite and Zinkenite.
Respecting higher ranks be damned, Faya was someone that'd grow used to his clingyness and poor Zink just never had a chance.
"..What the hell's with the Senshi mirror thing going on? Weeeeird dudes."
Maybe they should have left him back in the happy rainbow world after all.

He'd been here before: dressed down and confused, rather lost in the midst of the battle and the noise. Then, he'd stood blinking around him in befuddlement and eventually making an a** of himself.
This time, he'd probably essentially do the same thing. But he'd do it in uniform.
Ilmenite was late, but it was hard to blame him for that: as of yet, he hadn't been explained what came with his new abilities, what the transformation and signing up really meant. He had no idea he was supposed to be there, or that there was a secondary battle going on in the midst of the night. He stumbled into Elysion, scowling at the damned heels on his shoes, and blinked around.
Figures around him, and all of them strange, but at least he recognized one: his eyes locked onto General Zink and he made a noise that turned into a word. "...hey!" It was more startled, an exclamation more than a greeting.

"AUGHSCHEEE" She said as the sudden weight was agaisnt her... making her stoop down to the younger boys height as he was hanging off of her. "I LIKE my back where it is!" She was no hunchback, and would like to keep it that way! "hey boss, you think whats in here is sort of like.... a home movie? Or more like a window than a mirror?" Curious alll too curious...
Turning around at the 'Hey!" the lieutenant found her eyebrows drawing together, the white haired man was a face and aura she did not know. "...Newbie?" Was all she asked, eying Illmenite with a quirked eyebrow.
Fresh meat hmm?

"Good...GOD Scheelite would you watch it, the last thing I want to do is find out that thing is a portal to the past!" Zinkenite said alarmed... just in time to hear a startled and familiar voice say "Hey..." He glanced... Ilmenite.
"Ah... Lieutenant, come over here please I'd like you to meet some people..." He beckoned the new Lieutenant forward.
"Captain Scheelite... Lieutenant Ilmenite... Lieutenant Fayalite meet your new team member... General Tanzinite... meet the person I'm going to throttle with his own weapon if he says anything disrespectful before we all wake up."

Trying to get a better look, he jumped when he heard Scheeltie jump in and drape himself over Fayalite and Zink, causing him to look up at the bouncy Captain and back to the mirror. "Way to be quiet, Schee." He said, noticing how their voices echoed in the wide, empty expanse of the deserted shrine. In fact, he was curious about that. Turning away from the painting, he looked about. "You know, we had animals in all three places. Think there is one around here to bite our heads or melt us?" He wondered, looking around. He really didn't want to be caught on fire or frozen or whatever else could happen here. The fact it was so quiet deeply bothered him. "You'd think there would be more security."

He glanced at wolframite and shook his head quietly. "...I suspect we may see Helios herself again... just a feeling. the three guardians have been beaten by ...both sides, intending to keep all of us out she is the final defense of this place... though for all we know, she may have the guardians with her again."

Well THIS was new. Zinkenite had not taken a new lieutenant onto their team in a long LONG time... this one seemed new to the art of wearing heels. He must be new... right?
"Hell of a way to meet in this hell hole... but." She held a hand out... offering it to Illmenite. "I was already introduced, so, Hi." She shrugged. She figured she should say something encouraging... but at the same time, it was something he was probably already told.
"...Wolf i wouldnt jinx us." She said eyes wide, looking away from Illmenite for a moment to eye the other captain in the room. "If we suddenly are flying... Boiling in lava... or riding around on ponies, i guess we will know?" So far its been really damn quite, it was bothering her slightly. You would think they would want the negaverse out, not in.

That was a lot of names. Ilmenite blinked at the girl and the outstretched hand and shook his head a little. Then back to Zinkenite like a lifeline: the only person he knew, and the only person he could predict at all, and even that wasn't very much. He cleared his throat, hesitated, and then definitely absolutely didn't say anything disrespectful.
Remarkable.
Instead he eased forward a few slightly-fumbling steps [seriously, his inner soul had asked for heels? he was going to have it out with that part of him and they were going to compromise on nice comfortable combat boots in the future] to stand next to Zink. And tower over him. He peered into the mirror as well.

He only offered a thoughtful 'Hmmm' as he walked away, not too interested in the mirror when plenty of officers were looking at it. There could be more mirrors and more threats away from them and he was going to lookout just in case. "If she's here, you'd think there would be some sign of her and the other guardians. They were very big with announcing themselves last time." He looked about, but it was the same everything. Open, dark, and quiet. There was nothing glowing or shimmering to lead the way or catch his attention, and he turned back to look at them. "Kinda makes you wish we had a map." He moved back, looking at the mirror, going back to their train of thought.
"If it's the past and there are senshi, does that mean past Elysion had senshi?" Though there were other people in the picture. Who were they?

"I wouldn't throw you into the mirror! Sheesh Zink, have more faith in me! Sorry Faya, and Wolfy you know I'm never quiet..."
The blonde pouted just a bit, releasing his hold on the two and stepping back. When the newbie lieutenant was introduced Scheelite offered a wave and then when hearing he was on Zink's team he decided to try and drape on him too. Unfortunately while he was taller than Zink, Schee was still rather short so it just ended up being an awkward attempt at draping.
It was, quite honestly, his way of saying hello.

Not only that, but it was a rather nice way of saying hello. Ilmenite blinked and flicked a look down to the newcomer, and his discomfort softened just a little: now this was an interaction he was much more familiar with. When it came to formal introductions and handshakes, he shrank away a little, but drapey attractive men...he knew what to do with those.
"...shelite?" It was careful, his eyebrows raised, thoughts wandering. He should know which rank was higher, captain or general or lieutenant. Somewhere, at some point, he'd read that. But he absolutely could not remember. So he took liberties, his arm absently going around Schee's waist. They were being friendly. Friendly was nice!

It seemed like that behind the girl in the mirror, a crowd of bystanders were gathering. For all that senshi were regarded as terrorists in present day, the throng of people surrounding this one didn't seem very afraid at all. As a matter of fact, they looked more like an audience for a street performance than they did an angry mob or a collection of civilians who'd been frightened into submission. Their expressions suggested that they were waiting in anticipation, or perhaps even some degree of excitement, as the girl in the trademark skirt climbed on top of a rock and regarded them all with a coy sort of wave.
And then, before the eyes of both the audience of the reflection and the audience in the hallway, she twirled around in a graceful motion while holding aloft an odd-looking wand that looked pretty similar to the transformation pens that modern-day senshi were purported to possess. The air was filled with flashes of sparkles and colors as she performed her magic, enough that it obscured the Negaversers' view of the reflection for a moment.
A second later, however, the bright lights had cleared, and the scene was revealed again to show her audience clapping and cheering. So, it really was a performance of sorts... a display of her power, either for tradition or perhaps just for fun.
That wasn't the important part, though.
Because as fantastic as the display might have been, it was hard to tear one's gaze away from the wand she had gripped in her hand even now. While it was small in the reflection, and a bit difficult to make out completely, there was no mistaking the ornamentation on the end of it.
It was a tiny orb, in the spitting image of the planet Earth.

Zink's eyes blazed... an arm...around Scheelite. "It's... Schee-lite..." He said through clenched teeth and then reached over to grip Ilmenite's wrist in an iron fingered grip and -pried- it free of Scheelite. "Lesson one... what NOT to do to a Captain...." He said his voice taught.... but movement at least caught his attention before he entertained any further thoughts of fracturing wrist bones...his eyes darted to the 'mirror' to scowl at the display...at the delight on the civilian's faces...was that what Elysion could do?... And then... "What...." He said quietly amazed, at the tiny image of earth... "What is she..."
