well...our band has a lot of couples....i can never keep all the juniors' couples straight (i'm a senior) i've only ever had one bf...or "band geek" as you guys were saying smile that was freshman year...we met in 8th grade after i moved, but i didn't like him till the summer before freshman year, and we were at a band car wash haha. i told him at band camp, but he didn't end up liking me too till december...i found out later that for about a week before he told me, all our friends were trying to get him to ask me out, and i know when he almost did. we were at marine world (amusement park for all you non-CA peoples) for an elementary school band performance, and we were the only ones of our friends that had little siblings that young. anyways, when he did tell me he liked me, i sorta went into shock or something and basically went deaf and didn't hear his next sentence, which was actually asking me out... then he broke up with me a couple moths later, a mere 9 hours after we got home from our band trip to hawaii (we got back at about 1am and had to go to school at 7am but we didn't see each other till 10am...) anyways, our DM last year was dating some girl in drama/dance but not band, and for the winter DL show they had a sort of storyline, and they needed a dancer/actor so they decided to let her be in winter DL even though some people had already quit band because they couldn't do that, and she didn't have to pay as much winter fees and she didn't have to pay regular band fees. AND she thought that regular band rules didn't apply to her (like staying in groups of 3 at competitions and stuff) and she really pissed all of us off. (sorry this is getting long) we have PDA rules too. holding hands is ok. thats about it. we're "classy". we've only had one real problem couple, and that was back in my freshman year. they're the reason we have a new rule (not new so much. as of sophomore year) we can't sit next to "significant others" on the bus. i think the BD went so far once to say "not even ex-significant others. or not-yet-significant others" lol

He was a senior, and I was a junior. He played percussion, and I played saxophone. On band trip we sat next to each other in the theatre and in the concerts. I put my number in his phone... And we've been texting and going on casual dates ever since c:

My first boyfriend and current fiancee is a clarinet player. heart I play trumpet and we've always been close. During marching season my senior our band director let us break the rule and sit together.
I hate people that break the rules and I'm sorry but two girls that dated once should not be allowed sit together.

I dated a saxophone player last year. It was kind of like...love at first text you could say. We were in marching band together (I play t-sax in marching band, bass clarinet in regular band) but we didn't really talk much at all. Then musical season rolled around and we were in pit band together as well. I gave him my number when I got a new phone (the one before had fallen apart) and we didn't stop texting for like two weeks straight. We became really close and he asked me to a formal dance, since his ex had dumped him a day or so after we started talking. And that's where he asked me out. <3 We dated for like five months, but then we broke up, because he was always so busy and I'm super clingy....I miss the kid, but I'm okay with not even talking to him anymore. It's probably better for both of us.

I play clarinet and he plays Tenor Sax and didn't know each other very well until around the beginning of winter break. We had met through band, started to talk, sat next to each other during MPA, spent the whole day together while at the mall after MPA, couldn't stop hanging around each other, than when we were talking one day we managed to make a Tenor Clarinet and I knew I had to date him. And I love him so much <3

Well, I don't have any band geek stories like you guys do, but I have story about an upperclassman couple.
I don't know how they started, how long they've been dating, but the couple became cute on the day we had a half day. I was walking into the music hall, and I saw the guy, a senior trumpet, holding a bouquet of red roses. I walked past him, wondering what it was about, when I saw the girl, a junior flute, looking at the walls because there were roses taped to them. She was making her way out of the hallway, picking up the roses as she found them.
I don't know how it ended, but I know it probably ended adorably. It makes me hope that I will someday find a guy, band geek or not, who would do that. <3

when I was 15, when I played drums for the school orchestra, this guitarist was always staring at me at the end of each song. I'd never talked to him before, but we hit it off right away at the end of the performance when he came over to talk to me about my kit, and I was a bit embarrassed and didn't know how to reply so I asked him about the stickers on his guitar. We dated for a few months, but then we just became incredibly close friends. Right now he is my best male friend, and we practically live in each others houses! I am so grateful for instruments, because without them we'd never have met ♥

Yep, everyone is dating in band. My issue: I'm a sophmore flautist, and he's a freshman french horn player. The cool thing is he is going to do marching band next year...and we all know, what happens in marching band....stays in marching band

I used to have a special euphonium player who held a special place in my heart and we didn't realize our feelings for each other until our freshman year. I asked him out before a football game and got his answer after the game but before our bus driver ran over a fence. We dated for four months and two weeks before he broke all ties with me. It was sad, and I miss seeing him, since i saw him twice since we began dating; at a competition, and at MPA (music preformance assessment). We lived in seperate counties, but were like bro and sis in our last year together. I really wish it would've worked out though.

Harlequin Dolly I met my band geek my freshmen year. I am obsessed with sax players. I've always found the instrument very sexy. I was a silly newbie, and didn't know much about music, but I could tell if someone was good. The head sax player, senior section leader if you will, was a friend of my older sisters. I was mean to him cuz he always called me "Kim's little sister." But he played sax, played well and was ridiculously cute. I was a silly flute player, and tried to ignore him most of the time. But his solos made my heart melt. On my 15th birthday he walked past me and commented on my newly dyed hair. I decided to be nice to him from there on. We have been dating for 3 years and 2 months! I am still in band, going to major in music education, and he still plays sax to make me melt. Oh,my!That is really cute!I fail at playing both of the instruments that you guys play so I can't brag <_<;But that's kind of like my story XD

I don't really have a romantic storyline to tell you but most of my friends are band nerds. A lot of the male band nerds find it hilarious to tease me and annoy me that they would group together to pick on me. Of course it's not bullying since they're playful about it and my friends.
