Evataph coldhearted_is_me Evataph Well, C4D pretty much covered anything I could've said in 10x as much detail. The biggest thing you need to improve on is gathering resources. Never leave workers idle, queue them back to a mineral patch [shift + click]. And keep producing SCVs until you have at least around 25-30 SCVs (6 at gas, the rest working on minerals. You should have around 50-60 if you're 2-basing). The faster your income, the more you can spend, and every little worker counts. You'll find that you'll have so many more options when you have a good economy running. The only thing you ever did with your orbital command was that supply drop. Use your map scan, you don't have to suicide a marauder just to see what he's doing. Queuing more than 2 units is bad (even more so for upgrades and buildings. Don't EVER queue your SCV to build another building after it's done building one. Instead, grab another SCV and build it with that one. It saves so much time). It's like flushing your time and budget down the drain. If you need to spend faster, build more production buildings, don't just queue stuff up. And also, learn hotkeys if you want to move up any higher than silver. You'll be able move twice as fast, and you'll be able to spend resources without having to be looking at your base. I only know basic fundamentals outside of my race, so that's all I can really comment on. im about to post another game vid, in this one a just worked on not queuing things and constantly building workers, i didnt do well but i think its an improvement from my last video Don't worry if you're not seeing immediate improvements. There's hundreds of factors that affect the game, and it takes a lot of work to get better at something. It took me a few months just to dig myself out of bronze all the way to gold. yea i started out in silver but i kept on losing so i got pushed into bronze it sucked

moving this to Epic Replays subforum since this thread is turning out to be a good case of "post replays and critique."
also, good luck to epicpancake on improvement and thanks to the critiquers for taking time off to help people out.

Good job with the vikings. Exactly what you should do when you're pinned in your base.
You should send out other workers to kill the harassment. 2 will chase it off in no time. You stopped producing SCVs at 16. You need twice that, keep producing them until your mineral patches get croweded. Always keep checking your production buildings so you can queue up the next one. Don't let attacks from your opponent make you forget what you're doing. And you left the same 2 workers idle. Shift + click them back to the mineral patch when you're not using them. You were overflowing with gas. Take some workers off of gas and put them back on minerals so it balances out. You did better with scouting and using your orbital this time around, so good job on that. But you don't want to have to rely on MULEs to make up for your lack of SCVs. Your supply really never got very far above 100, and you were sitting on 1000+ resources. Spend it.

All good points and the majority of those mistakes can be fixed simply by following my instruction of constantly building out of everyone of your buildings, building lots of supply depots, and not queuing units, but instead building them one at a time, but non-stop. I wont even TOUCH on strategy until you can get the core fundamentals under control, because to be entirely honest with you, strategy doesn't even come into play until platinum league, everything up till then is fundamentals and developing your skills.

coldhearted_is_me ah thats cool i just want ton be the best i can be smile so what are the core fundamentals, so i know what to work on, you mean like everything you criticized in my first video? Pretty much, core fundamentals include macro, scouting, hotkeys and control groups. Doing things like constantly making units and always making use of the units and buildings you make. Mining constantly, using your energy efficiently, scouting the map, and doing so in a timely and efficient manner. You'll find that right up until platinum you can win 3/4 of your games based simply on fundamentals. Fundamentals are kind of boring, they aren't very exciting, but they are essential for good play. Every player can always improve more and more on fundamentals. Once you have fundamentals down, we can work on things like timings, predicting, countering units, positioning, and making mid game plans, but to be completely honest, all these things are nearly pointless to cover until you have a FIRM control of your fundamental skills.

Yup select the building and then control+#. Then if you want to add multiples of the same building just shift+# with the buildings selected.

yeah use hotkeys, keep your money low, make sure you build a lot of workers...
specific tips won't really be that useful until you have the basics down. good luck.

You've gotta reset your groups every time you start a new game. How did the quote boxes get ******** up?
