"true, true. We could talk.. though I'm not sure what topics would might find entertaining... hmmmm" He thought for a moment. "So, How about you pick the topic." He stood there waiting for her to think of the topic. He wasn't going to be so forward as to start asking her too many questions that could be seen as private and the weather didn't seem like much of a topic...

Aiane smiled as she thought, she really didn't know what to talk about. She couldn't seem to remember what her past conversations were about. After a bite she nodded slightly and looked at him with a wide open smile. "Well since you know I have a mate I want to know, do you?"

He chuckled a low soft rumbling sound like thunder only gentle. "No.. I've not met the mare that could win me over just yet but I have met some interesting friends that are mares." He wasn't long into the lands and didn't know many just a mare who was black with red markings from a troubled past, a mare who seemed to be a fluffy as he was. Another mare who'd attempted to bury him in the dirt alive when he'd been unconscious. A mare with roses adorning her, she of which was the leader of a herd and had welcomed him into it with acceptance. His herd leader's daughters.. those two were an interesting sight. So much alike yet each their own, and a small flutter mare. "I suppose when the time is right I'll find her." He gave a friendly smile.

Aiane smiled and looked him straight in the eyes the best she could as she spoke. "Well I'm sure it'll happen since you really are such a nice fellow. I bet anyone would love your company." She looked out toward the nearby forest with a wistful longing of a smile and turned back to the large grey stallion. "I hope when you do find her that you'll stay together and stay happy with not a cloud over that life. Now if you don't mind a subject change I wonder if you'll tell me where you're from."

He nodded some. "One could only hope." He ginned before she offered a subject change. "Not at all, I'm obviously not from these lands.. I came from a herd a good ways off from here. It was filled with others of my breed... Just they weren't the most pleasant of company to keep. In fact, I was a bit of an outsider among them. So I left and here I be." He gave a small shrug. Leaving his home and mother had been the best thing he'd ever done and he didn't feel any remorse for it.

Aiane smiled wide wishing him happiness with whom ever he chose like she found in her other half. The smile faded to a frown of confusion when he spoke of his own home. The idea of being an outsider in his own home confused her. When ever she met a family they seemed happy and she her self had a very nice family though they were all spread out at the moment. "So you and your family don't get along? That's sad I think. I always thought families where good happy things to have. Thats why I always hoped for one and was over joyed to learn I was getting one." She tilted her head slightly before continuing. "Are you okay with not being with your family? I would think it would be lonely."

"My family was hardly something you could label as such really.. The heard I grew up with looked down on me.. They viewed me as inferior. I wasn't as.. High strung as they thought I needed to be. They're idea of our breed was something I was Far from ever being." He gave a shrug to her questions. "When you're pushed around and picked on daily you tend to enjoy your freedom. You see.. It took me my life up to adult hood to understand why my father left us behind when I was young. He must have been an outsider as well and just couldn't stand to be ridiculed so he left.. My mother wasn't much better than the rest when I grew up and she learned just how much of an outsider her son was. She just let them do as they pleased so I just wandered off one day and never looked back." He shrugged once more. "This new land has been more of a breath of fresh air really."

Aiane furrowed her brow and frowned, she didn't like how he was describing his herd at all. "I don't understand how they could ostracize one of their own like that. It's positively horrible." She stamped her feet lightly and huffed before smiling again. "But at least your happy now. Leaving seems like it really was the best thing for you, just like my children went of on their own, though I know they'll come back some times, I know their okay." She furrowed her brow again looking the stallion in the eye. "I wonder if your mother is worried at all that you left with out a trace. I would definitely be." She looked at him with worry and understanding.

He gave a snort that sounded like he was attempting to hold back a chuckle. "I highly doubt that she's thought of me. She's probably moved on by now if she ever did.. Most likely glad to be rid of me. I almost wish my father had taken me when he'd left is the only thing I really regret."

Aiane frowned. "It's sad that there are parents like that, ones where the children are so sure of their lack of love." She looked down with her frown as she thought this over. "It some times feels like parents aren't really what I hope them to be. I never knew mine so I don't have a bases for what they should be like, but I'm pretty sure they loved me... I think." She frowned deepened as she thought of her parents more, something she hadn't down for so long. She soon sucked in a large breath looked up and smiled. "Well I shouldn't dwell on the past I'll just make sure that my children know I love them enough for me and my parents. Good idea don't you think?"

He gave a smile and a nod. "Yes, dwelling on one's past doesn't do much for one's future really. All we can do is learn from it and move on. I can say this, I'll be damned if my own will feel as though They're not wanted." He blew his forelock from his face. The usually laid back and goofy look to his face had changed to a more determined look. "And if I have family off some where in that great beyond then well.. I just hope they're not as indifferent about me as my own mother was." His expression eased back into a wide grin. "After all.. we owe future generations a more understanding and loving life don't we?" He guessed there were those out there that would disagree. mostly those of the more evil mind set. but that wasn't his concern.

Aiane smiled as she listened to him. "Yes I'm glad you think so as well. Our children are meant to be loved and to grow up on love not to wallow in their parents dislike." She frowned slightly before she spoke her next words. "Though maybe those who are loved do not understand how necessary it is for growth having always had it? Maybe a sheltered child will grow up to be a cold adult." She shook her head and smiled at him. "That's a silly idea I suppose or at least one that need not be dwelled on for long." With a wider smile she spoke some more. "Hopefully with your love your children and my children will grow to love their children and so on. That is a better train of thought don't you think?"

"I would think that a child brought up knowing the cold shoulder of it's parent would be most likely to become a cold hearted adult... yes. So therefore I agree that children who are shown love will be more apt to grow up to be a warm hearted adult.. at least we can all hope for that to be the norm." He gave a light laugh. "Tell me, Are your little ones still little? Ore have they grown?"

"I do hope that's true. I also hope that warm hearts can come from cold shoulder's. Though I suppose with you here kind as you are can rest easy that that's true." She smiled at him looking him the best she could in the eyes. "Ah sadly they are all grown up, one has even had children of his own. I think those may be adults as well. It's an odd feeling being a grand mother you know, even if I don't often see my grand children."

"I wouldn't know, but then.. I guess It would be an odd feeling to know one was a grandparent but not often see their grandchildren." He pondered this a moment. "Ah but just being a grandparent has to feel pretty nice, no? Even if you aren't old and decrepit." He hobbles and drags one hind leg in sort of a mock limp as though he was making a joke of how most construe the thought of being a grandparent to being old.
