Savior didn't know what 'rumble' meant but she assumed it meant combat for as soon as he'd spoken the lines the stranger charged at her, fist swinging at her head. It wasn't much of a stretch for the Marrowstripe to get out of the way but he'd managed to graze her cheek just a bit - the pain in her temples from the burn delaying her reaction time for a moment or two. She wasn't as fueled on adrenaline as she normally would have been in a fight between Marrowstripes (considering those were fights to the death) and as such she was paying for it with some errors here and there.
Taking a deep breath Savior moved in with a hard swing of her own, fingers splayed and nails out, at the shoulder and back of her opponent. He'd made a lunge at her and she'd moved so it was only natural that the monster would be able to get behind him and tear at his back and wings. It didn't take much for her to rip into the sinew and she pulled her hand back after one strike, hoping he would understand enough of a warning. Savior didn't want to fight.
She wouldn't back down though.

Between how close he was and the fact that he was already in motion, Jericho wasn't really able to avoid her counterattack. He saw her move in for it, but he just couldn't get out of the way in time. Letting out another cry of pain as he felt his back and wings racked by her claws, he whirled about to face her again. His expression held a mixture of pain and rage as thoughts raced through his head on what to do for his next move.
This girl was good at fighting; he could tell that much. And though she had already injured him, he wasn't about to back down. Anger and pride kept him from doing that.
Rushing forth again, the dragon decided to try and do a feint first before bringing his right leg up to try and slam it into her side.

It was the dragon boy's lucky day that he'd injured the Marrowstripe and still hadn't gotten her mad enough to actually try to fight back, but when he managed to make his leg connect with her side her head shook a bit and the mask she wore rattled before dropping off to the ground and skidding towards where the kushi body was. It laid right next to the corpse, now cooling with the rapid heat given to it by Halloween and Amityville, and a look of abject horror quickly crossed Savior's face - well, at least her eyes. Her mouth did not move though her lips stayed slightly open as though she were surprised, and the Marrowstripe rubbed at her side as the clear marks of the burn on her face became more visible with the mask off.
Part of Savior's brain told her she needed to get to the mask before she couldn't get it at all, but another part of her told her that it was unlikely the creature before her would let her go. In that case, a simple train of thought was developed:
Kill him - > Get to Mask.
It was simple enough and Savior nodded as though she understood. She still wasn't angry, her mask hadn't been stolen, but that didn't stop her from rushing over and tackling the dragon into the ground, her nails digging into the soft section of flesh right below his collarbone.

It was somewhat pleasing to the dragon that he had hit her hard enough to knock her mask right off. Though, he really didn't know the significance of the thing and didn't pay it much attention after giving it a glance as it landed on the ground. If the marrowstripe were to try and go for it, he probably would have thought she was trying to snatch up the dead Kushi to keep it away from him even more, seeing how close the two fallen things were.
As Jericho was about to follow up with another attack, he was only able to let out a grunt as she had tackled him to the ground.
"Get... off!" he hissed between gritted teeth, feeling her nails digging into his flesh. Oh how he wished that he had his hard scales rather than skin right now. He doubted she'd be able to do as much damage to him should he have been in his true form. Skin was just so easy to break!
Squirming from underneath, he tried to roll in an attempt to flip their positioning.

Perhaps it was eerie that Savior didn't talk during fights or perhaps it was because she was too distracted to concentrate and speak? Either way she remained silent as she tussled with the dragon boy, though the moment he tried to roll her over a finger went straight into his chest, the Marrowstripe driving it in until her finger was almost entirely inside his flesh. The movement had been easy, almost like she knew the best place to stab, and she hooked her finger before pulling it back out. There was no need for the dragon to overly worry, she hadn't poked anything vital other than a good deal of muscle, and the Marrowstripe cracked her knuckle as she prepared for round two. Fighting on her back while not really fighting wasn't all that bad considering he wasn't punching her or biting at her. Jack, Savior hadn't even had to use her teeth yet!
She didn't try to kick him off of her either, instead she just laid there and looked up at him, blinking. It was clear he was angry but he wasn't trying to kill her much either, right? If so he would have already bitten through her neck - that's what she would have done anyway.

Letting out a cry of pain once the roll was through, Jericho pulled back to clutch at the new hole in his chest, though he remained on top of her for the time being. It might not have hit anything important, but that didn't stop it from hurting like no tomorrow. It was bleeding a fair amount as well.
Clenching his jaw, he stared down at her while he was trying to get past of the sharp pain in his chest. Had he not been enraged out of his mind, he would have found her rather attractive really. There was a little bit of that feeling there, but anger coated over everything else. Otherwise, he probably would have seen that he could easily fetch the kushi carcass now that she wasn't physically in his way and that there wasn't much of a point in continuing this fight.
Why wasn't she trying to kick him off? Was she trying to mock him?
Not dwelling on that thought, he started to try and strike her with his uninjured left hand. His punches didn't have as much power or speed to them as before, as his new wound made it rather painful to be moving about like that.

" . . . . " To be honest Savior was a little disappointed that this person started to swing back at her, she'd rather hoped they were both done, and she moved her hand to catch his with limited effort. However she caught it with the hand that was attached to the fractured wrist and she let out a thin hiss of pain as she had to fight to stop it from reaching her face, the look of unease clear in her eyes as she struggled to prevent the fist from impact. With her hand as it was she very well couldn't force him back and off, not to mention she still didn't want to kick him, so the Marrowstripe thought of the next best thing. She slowly moved so her face was moving closer to his. . . .
. . . and then Savior head butted him.
She saw stars almost instantly and moved her free hand to cover the spot where the heads had connected, but she knew that if she was swooning then he likely was too. Maybe this would get him off her and she could get her mask. That kushi wasn't going to stay approachable for much longer.

There seemed to be a moment of peace as his hand was caught by hers rather easily. Furrowing his brow, Jericho soon started to try and tug his arm free when her forehead met his rather roughly. With a grunt, he rolled off of her, clutching his head. The hard blow had him dazed for the time being, so her efforts had worked rather well.
Groaning, he tried to recollect himself, but he had lost a fair amount of steam with that last hit. It would likely take him a little while before his mind was pieced back enough to get back onto his feet.

Having the dragon off her was all Savior needed and she took that time to tackle him one more, this time making sure to hold both his arms down and have herself straddling his waist. With the Marrowstripe sitting directly on top of him there was no way he could get her off unless he decided to buck his hips or something, an action Savior was willing to take a bet on. She was tired and was starting to feel pain in her wrist - not mention the side of her face smelled pretty badly, kind of like burnt oranges.
"Stop." The monster wriggled her hips a bit to ensure that she was in a better position to use her weight against him, her knees bent and her body leaned over so her face was directly above his. She was speaking even though her lips did not move, most of her expression coming from her eyes and eyebrows. "Hurt. Stop." It was doubtful that this would make him quit since he'd been so fired up before but Savior had to try without actually trying. Not that it made any sense at all, of course.

Still stunned from the headbutt, Jericho just found himself being pinned down by the other monster. He was having trouble focusing at the moment, but he was at least able to hear what she said. Twitching, he tried to struggle away feebly. Had this been in a less anger-induced situation, he probably would have been flustered for a slightly different reason.
Sneering a bit, partially due to being unable to break free and partially due to the strong scent of burnt oranges, he stared up and finally relaxed a little. It was mainly because the chest wound made it a bit painful to breath, and he was rather drained because of everything.
"Get off of me," he growled.

"Yes." It looked like things had calmed down and Savior gave an exaggerated sigh as she rolled off the other monster, her whole body aching. Wounds to the head were what normally took a Marrowstripe down, seeing as head were only meant to house mouths and not much more, and she staggered up to her feet with a few stiff sways here and there. Her eyes glanced over towards her mask, still laying by the kushi, and she took a few steps towards it only to back away in horror. Had the creature really been dead that long? It was impossible to think but. . . Savior could no longer go near her mask. The smell coming from the dead kushi was enough, the chemicals of breakdown already advanced despite the little creature being hardly dead less than a few minutes, and the Marrowstripe let out a wail of unhappiness.
"No!" She tried to take a step closer to her mask but took two back instead, uncaring that the dragon was probably looking at her like she was either on fire (funny) or had something wrong in her head. Either way the body was free for him to take now if he really wanted (doubtful).

Once she had released him, Jericho rolled over, rubbing his head once more. He was starting to get some clarity back, especially since his rage had died down by now. The dragon was not happy by any means, but he had at least cooled off somewhat.
Hearing her cry out, he glanced up at her while wondering what in Halloween had gotten into her. For the moment, he thought she had rediscovered the fact that the Kushi head died. Did she think it was only 'dying' during the time they were duking it out? That may explain why she was so damn adamant about it.. Still, this whole thing was over that stupid hamster.
It frustrated him.
"Yes, it's dead," he grunted through the pain, "You said so yourself a few minutes ago."

Savior turned and looked at the boy, her eyes wide with terror as she motioned with her hands. "No kuchi. Mask." This one another one of those times were Savior's lack of vocabulary was coming to bite her on the butt, so to speak, and she pointed a rather blood-stained finger down at the object that rested all too closely to the corpse. She wanted it back, but how could she explain that there was no way she could possibly get to it? It was within reach but just having her hand near anything dead made her skin crawl. Another wail escaped from her and she took another two steps back, hands covering her mouth. "Mask!"

"What about the mask?" he asked while pushing himself to his knees. Slowly, he was recovering here, but the injuries themselves would take longer to heal of course. Staring at the mask, he didn't see anything wrong with it. The thing looked exactly how it did when he first knocked it off of her.
Jericho's eyes shifted up to hers, taking note of the look of terror on her face. None of this was making any sense to him.
"There's nothing wrong with it. Just pick it up if you want it," he grunted, placing a hand over his his chest to see if it was still bleeding. It was, for the time being, but it had at least slowed.

"No! Can't! Mask!" Savior was getting loud, frantic, and in her desire to be understood she was also getting rather. . . aggravated. She was doing her best to stay calm, to prevent herself from panicking, but the long and longer her mask stayed near the body she couldn't get to it unless she had help. Sure she could stay and wait until the body completely decayed but even then she could only approach it if it had turned into bones and there was no scent left - nothing to drive her away.
Savior didn't think she wanted to be without her mask for that long.
It was then that she remembered a word someone had said to her before, asking her something before they walked off and left her behind (apparently her silence was a poor answer). Looking over at the boy dragon she pointed down at the mask, her face still fearful. "Help. Mask."
