Well, yesterday was moderately fun. I went to the local showhall to help my mom and her friends set up the cat show.

Then I went to the hotel and got my gifts. I got a Creative Zen X-Fi 2 Media Player, 16 GB, because my Zune was going on the fritz (even though I could still use it). Not the best media player in the world, but it's fitted with a micro SD slot to up the memory, so it can potentially be way better than my Zune. These things go up to 64 GB, by the way. Who the ******** needs 64 GB? I do have a friend who would probably fill that up with AMV's and episodes of Rozen Maiden, but still...

Second gift I got was the first five seasons of Red VS Blue, remastered. Watching them right now. Man, I forgot how much I love this series.

Other gifts I got were a check for $25 that I can't use just yet because there's no El Dorado Savings Bank in Monterey Bay, and I got $20, $0.75 of which went to helping some guy out who needed change for the bus. No reason, just felt like helping a guy out on my birthday.

After that, me and my family went to dinner with a couple of friends. Went to this nice sea food restaurant. Had some oak-grilled Mahi-mahi with fried shrimp and pasta topped with parmesan cheese. Talked to one of my friends about walking me through using Linux once I get a spare computer to test the OS on. I was worried about game playing, but he told not to worry. Apparently there's this program that can emulate or use Windows 7 as a separate program. To sum it up: an OS within an OS. I need that spare computer soon. I wanna switch to Linux, but still be able to play games.

Anyway, managed to keep my cat in my dorm room for a day. She remained particularly quiet, but I lost some sleep worrying about her making noise.

That was my birthday. Now I gotta take my cat to the show hall, go with my dad to some environmental seminar, then go and study Chemistry for an exam...which is two days before Pokemon BW come out.
