Professor Soul-Heart was sitting at her desk, waiting for the smiling faces to file into her room. She was so very thrilled to be a new teacher at the school, and could not wait to start her job.

Morning Professor, my name is Cloud...
She walked to the left side of the classroom, and dropped her things on a desk near the window.

 Livana MacLaren toddled into the classroom. Her dim eyes slightly widened in what may have been surprise to see the new instructor seated at the teacher's desk.
Liviana uneasily made her way to a vacant desk, and collapsed into the chair, not caring that her already wrinkled robes were being crinkled once more. Her lifeless red-gold locks obscured her dull eyes from the world, and she waited until the class was to begin.

"Why, Thank you, Miss Cloud. Welcome to class." Soul-heart was still sitting at her desk, unsure of what to do. She had so many ideas rattling around in her head about a first lesson, that she had forgotton to pick one! She felt horrible, but she really wanted to start out with something the kids would enjoy. But, she also didn't want to start out with something too easy. Maybe she should wait until the other kids arrived and reenrolled into the class, since there had been a number of drop outs.
She took a glance over to the other student who walked into the class. She smiled towards her and said "Hello, darling. Welcome to transfiguration. By the looks of you two, you are both getting closer to finishing, aren't you?" She asked. They both looked to be 6th or 7th years, and that wasn't a bad thing. That would mean they could help her out with the younger kids, and that they would be keeping her on task, because they would want to keep moving through the lessons, she thought

Through her stringy hair, Liviana murmured a barely audible "Yes". 'If only I don't get held back a year because of how much work I missed,' she thought.
The Ravenclaw's head bowed in shame.

"Well, very good!" The professor stood up and waved her wand at the chalk board. She had used these spells so many times that she hardly needed to think about what she was thinking anymore. She knew she needed the chalk to animate to write on the chalk board, and that was exactly what it did. She had decided on her new lesson: Animating objects.
She smiled as the chalk wrote 'Animating Objects' on the board. Then, reaching into her drawer, she pulled out a little toy soldier, a green one that muggles had normally used. She set it on the desk, and then pulled out a box. It was filled with little toy soldiers, and once the class would come in, she could assign one to everyone. "We are going to animate objects today, girls," the professor said.

From outside the class room, a steady string of footsteps echoed the halls as Amelia hurried to class. It should be on this hallway. The person she asked said it was near the five suits of armor. There did seem to only be five of the looming suit, their probably sharp blades standing at the ready. The girl hurried past the doorway, then the footsteps stopped. There was a pause, then more slowly, a new set as she backed up. Peering in she questioned in a voice that shook though was steadier than she felt, "Is this Transfiguration?" She was swallowing nervously, tucking her short white hair behind her ears. This was her first class ever, and she hoped she got it right. Though she knew she was already late.

Professor Soul-Heart was caught by surprise with the new voice. She glanced over to the door, and she smiled. The new student was another Ravenclaw, and this made her heart glad. She was a Ravenclaw when she was at the school, so it made her proud to know that her house took so much responsibility when it came to classes. "Yes, Miss. This is Transfiguration. Welcome, dear. You may have a seat." She was still sitting at her desk, playing with the toy soldiers. But, a thought trickled into her mind. She had a new idea. Taking the little tin of soldiers, she put them back into her drawer and stood up. She then walked into her supply closet and pulled a knit bag filled with dolls. She had planned this out a while ago for a lesson, and she figured it would be a good time to start the class.
She came out with a bag of dolls and action figures that muggle children would play with. Annette had actually played with them herself, as she was muggle born. It was a strange thing for her to think back on those memories. She seemed to be lost in thought when she finally snapped back into attention. She took a deep breath and looked to the four girls who had entered her class. "Well, ladies, here's the deal. You will pick a toy from this bag, any of your liking, and for the next few days, we will work on trying to animate them, okay? Once you have animated them, I will assign your homework. But first, can anyone tell me what spell you would use to animate your toy?"

Ginelle walked into the classroom, trying to slide into the classroom without being noticed. She was a little late, but then again, she hadn't exactly understood transfiguration. The last teacher couldn't continue teaching, so she actually had little idea about what transfiguration was. She took a seat at a table and watched the teacher talk about the dolls and the action figures. She was a bit confused, but she would get there. She heard the teacher ask about the spell to animate a toy, and she didn't have any clue.

"Welcome to class, miss...?" She was looking at the young new Gryffindor that had just entered her class room. She smiled to see that she took a seat, and then decided to continue what she was saying.
"Please feel free to choose a doll, students." She waved her wand and a desk drawer opened up. Then, she waved it again and a stack of papers came out of the desk. They were the descriptions of the dolls on the paper She gladly passed the papers out and started to set the dolls out on the desk.

Amelia Frances
As each doll was placed upon the table, Amelia's sinking feeling grew. Her declaration to never play with Barbies apparently might change. Her hopes for a simple teddy bear or other plushie were dropping quickly until the final doll was set down. A grin spread across her features, and she stood up, heading for the doll. Picking it up, she perfectly imitated one of her favorite characters, "It's-a me-a Mario." She spun on her heel, tipping an imaginary hat to the class.

The professor smiled at Amelia's comment and gestures. Annette grew up loving Mario, so seeing another Ravenclaw who knew about him made her glad. "You may have him if you like," she said as she handed him over. "He's a fun one to talk to. Just like his character."
Annette looked around to the rest of the class. "Anyone else? You may pick any you would like. I have more in the back room if you want to look at those." She glanced around the class room, hoping to get a response soon. There must have been a way to get the class more excited about participating.
