Kuiba had to hold back the urge to grin like a crazy-person when she said she'd appreciate the company - his company! His stupid coment hadn't scared her off, thankfully.
He nodded. "Ye'h, it'd be good not ta hafta deal with 'em all the time," he agreed, but he was more excited about spending time with her than avoiding time with his family. He'd get to be neighbours with Kinang and see her whenever he wanted!
How perfect was that? He gave a lopsided grin.

"Well, when it's time to settle down, I'll definitely let you know. And if we have to move on, I'll figure out a way to send you a message. I wouldn't want to you to think I abandoned you or anything, if your family starts moving around again. And I have a feeling Pinakip is going to want to move on soon. She only has so much steam before she wears out and wants to witness to a fresh batch of animals."
Kinang looked around. The sky was starting to lighten. They had time, but not much, not if she wanted to keep Kuiba away from Pinakip and all that that would entail.
"I'm going to have to go back to my sister soon," she said softly.

Kuiba bobbed his head, pleased to hear that she was prepared to make an effort to keep in contact. "I'll do the same," he told her, determined to keep in contact with the female before him. "I thi'k me families gonna wanna move on soon too. They never seem ta wanna stay in one place for verreh long." They always had new clients, new cases, new people to follow. Kuiba was rather glad he had stayed with his mother growing up, being dragged around that often as a pup would seriously suck, he decided.
At her words, he felt a pang of regret and couldn't quite stop it from appearing on his face. "Ah, yeh, fair e'nuff," he mumbled. "I guess'ya better get back to yah sis before she starts her preachin' fer the day." He shifted, and glanced at her. "Yah wan' me to walk yah back?"

Kinang glanced around. That shouldn't hurt, as long as Pina was groggy she probably wouldn't even notice. "That'd be nice, if you don't mind. Though try and avoid getting into conversation with Pina if she's awake, it's awfully early for a theological debate."
Plus, any discord between Kuiba and Pinakip was to be avoided at all costs, for as long as possible. If there was anything that would ruin their happiness, that would be one.
"I'm really glad we ran into each other tonight, Kuiba."
