Jordan "Jello" Walker
Clarinet? Check. Binder with first few sets of drill and music? Check. Pencil? Check. Water, sunblock, snacks, sunglasses? Check, check, check, check.
Jordan Walker, otherwise known as Jello, made her way out of the bandroom, heading for the tree of life. She knew she was early, but maybe someone would be out there already. As she walked around a corner, she squinted through the sun to find several girls and a guy already there. She recognized one, Pepe, the sousaphone player. Who else? Two other girls that she didn't recognize. Perhaps freshmen or new kids. And of course Marcel, the assistant drum major. She walked up beside them. "Well good day, Marcel, Pepe!" She smiled and waved, and then put her things in the grass before looking at the new girls. "Well, hello there." She smiled. "Name's Jordan, but you can call me Jello if you prefer it."

"Awesome! I never thought of trying a brass instrument," she said thoughtfully. "Anyway! Hi! Jello! That's an awesome nickname!" Chantal was really getting excited now, though it didn't take much. "I'm sorry," she said, continuing on her random spurs of conversation, "I didn't quite catch your name," she said apologetically, eyeing the blonde girl."I'm Chantal!" If Chantal was overwhelming people, she definately did not notice.

Yolanda Learie Yolanda smiled to each new arrival. She nodded to the energetic girl, memorizing her name since she had a feeling this girl was someone that would appear frequently. When asked her name she answered, glancing to each person as an introduction. "I'm Yolanda. But feel free to call me Yoshie." She glanced at the only guy to arrive, and tried to recall why his name seemed important. Ah...the assistant Drum Major.

Heather "Pepe" Adams♮Tuba ♯Sophomore ~Don't make me...~ Pepe was about to say hi to both Marcel and Jello, but she was interrupted by Chantel. She makes me seem as energetic at a turtle. she thought. Having nothing better to do, and the temperature beginning to get to her, she took off her shirt, revealing her official outfit of the day. Wanting to at least see how his summer was, and brush up on her basic german, she called out to the assistant DM. "Marcel! Wie war Ihr Sommer? Gut?" Marcel looked up, and, with a chuckle, replied in his usual soft voice "Ja. Ich habe die üblichen. Es war zu heiß, und..." he paused, looking at what she was wearing "ich sah zu viel davon." ~...open up a can of white girl can't dance~[ recently got into polyvore xP don't hate me cause I'm handsome ]

Jello smiled at Chantel, accepting what she considered to be a compliment. Looking at the blond, she gaped slightly. "Yoshie?" she said, and then after a moment, "That is so cool! You probably get asked if you play Mario a lot, don't you?" She then looked at the girl's case, gaped wider, and pointed. "You play the clarinet?!" This excited Jello into giving the blond a bear hug while exclaiming "That's so exciting!" She backed off and looked back and forth between Chantel and Yoshie. "So what year are you two?"

Yolanda Learie Yolanda smiled as the girl named Jordon hugged her. She hugged back lightly to keep from falling as she listened to the girl speak excitedly. She smiled as she replied,"Well I don't play Mario that much...the name just stuck." She glanced to Pepe for a minute, hearing the German exchange to the drum major. She cut her attention back to Jello, adding,"Yes, I play clarinet, and although I'm new here I'm a junior."

A huge smile spread across Chantal's face when she heard Yolanda say they could call her Yoshie. When Jello hugged her, she was glad there didn't seem to be any issues between anyone so far, not that'd she'd be able to spot an awkward situation anyway, but she didn't like drama. She snapped out of the crazy little world in her head when Jello asked what year she was. "Oh, I'm just a lowly freshman!" Chantal joked. She never had any siblings to tell her, but her older cousins would tell her that freshmen better 'watch out'...whatever that meant she was sure no one seemed like that here.

Jello grinned at Yoshie. "Sweet, me too!" She then gave a sly look towards Chantal. "Oh, a freshman?" She laughed a fake, evil laugh as her face darkened. "You're going to have so much fun..." She shrugged, loosing the darkness. "So.... What's going on? Like, are we starting soon or...?"

Marcel heard Jello's evil laugh, and snickered quietly. Chantel really should have kept her mouth shut. "Yeah, few more minutes." Marcel said "Rudy and Fernando at least should be here soon." His voice remained ever so small, but it was still audible. So, Yoshie was new here too? Oh, even better.

Yolanda Learie Yolanda furrowed her brow at the laugh. It sounded far too similar to the one her cousin gave earlier that morning before leaving for the courtyard. Shaking it off as a simple insider she smiled, glancing to Marcel and back to Jello before asking,"So, are we learning just drill today?" She was curious how thier shcedual went, and how it differed from her other school.

Marcel shook his head. "Music for the first half of rehearsal, then strength and conditioning, then intro drill." At least...that's what Belski had told them earlier via text message. But, regardless, it was going to be an easy day...with the exception of the strength and conditioning. It was like Fernando wanted to kill the not so physically fit. But, if people weren't fit enough to do the show, it wouldn't turn out well. The enthusiasm of some of the student staff was quite unbearable. Though, the show did sound pretty cool.

Chantal's brow furrowed for what must have been but a milisecond. Assuming Jello was just kidding around with her scary laugh and all. When Marcel spoke about others showing up soon she got excited all over again. "Oh awesome! Who are Rudy and Fernando? I can't wait to do everything!"

Heather "Pepe" Adams♮Tuba ♯Sophomore ~Don't make me...~ Before Marcel answered, Pepe butted in. "Rudy is the brass instructor! Fernando is the head woodwind instructor, and he's a visual tech too." Oh, just wait til she met Charlie. The thought made her snicker. Charlie ate freshmen for breakfast. And...he was extremely creepy, old, and above all, crazy. Shoot, he would deny that he was old, but not crazy. "There are a few more instructors, like Joseph for clarinet sectionals, Alyse for flute sectionals, Daniel and Charlie for visual techs. Mark and Richard for percussion...and yeah." She was getting ahead of herself. The freshie and the newbie would learn names soon enough. ~...open up a can of white girl can't dance~

"That's great! I can't wait to meet everybody!" She finally looked around to actually take in everybody's faces. Her eyes skipped over to Marcel. He didn't seem like a talker. Jello, she seemed nice, definately reminded Chantal of some of her cousins. Yoshie didn't seem like a talker either, but she did seem to talk more than Marcel. She didn't exactly know what to think about Pepe. She knew she liked her, she's spunky. That's it! Spunky.

While Chantal, Marcel, and Pepe chatted about instructors, Jello bent down and opened her case. Inside wasn't the nice looking, brand new Selmer. Nooo, that was for Wind Ensemble. All that was inside was a crappy plastic clarinet, although made by the same company, that she had started with in fourth grade. "Hello, Claire." She said fondly. Although the color was a little off from spending so much time in the sun, and one of the B/E keys didn't work anymore, she still loved it.
