Now he was just confusing.
"Ah," she said, unconvincingly but trying nevertheless, "Well, I'm sorry I don't have anything interesting to point you toward on your adventure." It would be better if she could be helpful, she was sure, but that wasn't really her fault. He could wander and find something.. but maybe he wouldn't since he had a deadline.
It was nice being a rogue.

The conversation was at a lull and Ailani was thinking he was the one making it so. Probably because he was confused himself about what his life was supposed to be really about. He was hoping for a more exciting life and for nothing to actually change.
"I don't have anything to point you too, either." He paused, "I guess we could just part ways?"

Hm. That was one way to end this painful conversation.
"I guess," she repeated, giving him one last thoughtful look up and down, "Good luck on your little adventure, Ailani."

If he could read minds he would fullheartedly agree, painful conversation!
"And to you, may you find what you're looking for, Eztli." He started walking in the same direction he was before. He gave himself a couple more days, and then he would turn around and make his way home.

Eztli didn't say anything else but nodded and continued on past Ailani, as she had been before they paused to chat. It wasn't entirely pointless, however useless it had seemed. It did help her decide she was content to wander for now, she would not give up and return home.
Fin.
