"If by done this, you mean used the ladder to get down enraged nesting bird pokemon, then no. However someone has to change the light bulbs and usually it gets delegated to the grunt who isn't afraid of heights." he picked up the ladder making sure it was secure before heading back to the cafeteria and the birds.
Swiftwing let out a soft coo back, content to spend some quality time with his smaller mate.

"I.. see. So you're the one who fixes the stuff? 'Cuz I've got a wonky chair that keeps getting switched out for mine around the workspace in the lab if you'd not mind taking a look at that... Er, assuming you don't mind being a handyman and... know about chairs? I can always just steal a coaster if not." She stood back a little, ready to hold the door or whatever was needed from her in obtaining the ladder. "By the way.. Uh, why don't you like Pidgey?"
Meanwhile, Palu was trying to both envelope and egg in a wing and snuggle against the Pidgeot next to her.

"Even if I were, I'm not allowed in the labs." and even if he was, he wouldn't go there. Nadja lurked down there and was ultimate dictator of the going ons of the labs.
"And my lost is your gain, you can have the eggs. I'll just bring them down to you.' he didn't answer the question. His reasons was too diverse to pin point one alone exactly and it would require remembering things he didn't want to.

Hm. Okay, clearly he didn't feel too much like talking about it. Tambrey frowned a little. He really didn't like Pidgey- it was such a strange thing to her.
"Uh. Thanks. Maybe ya could tell Palu that while you're up there? I mean, if you're not too harried by your bird." She half joked "She can... keep at least one egg but anymore and I'll have to gift them or something... No way I'm worrying over multiple eggs... And no way I'm taking them all away from her..."

"Then give them to trainees who need them." he started to set up the ladder. "Pidgeot are really good for emergencies, Swiftwing there helped me save.." he trailed off, thinking of Cal, nearly bleeding to death. "Helped me during the whole ball room incident. Don't get me wrong, he's a good bird. I just dislike pidgey, and I have no need for a flock of them." he finished setting up the ladder.
Swiftwing saw what they were trying and let out a cry of displeasure.

"Eh... I know at least one good home for an egg, actually..." Tambrey admitted as she mused over the people she knew. "Got a friend that 'm sure'll be perfect for an egg... The other I'll... well, I'll probably just turn over f'r assignment if ya don't want to take it. The admin' can give it t' someone, I guess. Palu'll have to be happy with keeping the one..."
She nodded as Panther explained how useful a Pidgeot could be. "Save? Ah. That whole explodin' thing. Heard 'bout it." She'd heard various rumours and tidbits about the mission, mostly involving explosions and chandeliers.
Palu jolted her head up as Swiftwing let out a cry and swept her gaze down again. Immediately she decided to join in. Maybe she'd be calmer once she knew she'd get to keep an egg.

Mounting the ladder he turned to her, "I'll be right back." he climbed up. As he approached Swift wing let out another cry. "Hey, calm down. this is not the best place for a nest. too many people and pokemon go through here.". He tried to calm the large bird. Swiftwing stood, guarding the nest, keeping between the grunt and the eggs.
"Palu, you trainer says you are keeping one of those."

"Er right! Er, good luck!" Tambrey called as she watched Panther start to climb up. "... And be careful up there. I'll stand here and, uh, hold the ladder." Well, she'd try her best anyway. Hopefully the birds wouldn't cause too much of a problem.
Palu stayed right by the nest as Panther appeared, watching as Swiftwing stood guard. She let out an angry cry herself, but tilted her head, listening as the grunt informed her she'd be allowed to keep an egg. The bird looked down at the one that she'd found herself closest too already. Well, this was pretty much what she'd expected, but still they were all her offspring.

Swiftwing puffed up his feathers in an impressive display of might. He glared down at the human trying to intimidate him right down the ladder.
Having been though a lot worst then an angery bird, Panther was not one to intimidate easily. "Oh come on Swiftwing, I told you. This is not a good place to pick. What if another bird pokemon comes up here. There are a lot of them. The rooms are safer... can we at least get them moved down there." Plus, he really didn't want to be on the ladder if his pidgeot decided to peck him.
Swiftwing had no intentions on leaving his spot, not while there was a human right there, and there was no way the human was going to touch his eggs.

Palu cooed softly, standing up from her eggs to go and stand beside Swiftwing. She wasn't keen on what was to happen, but she seemed to be reasoning it to herself and now approached Swiftwing to do so with him as well.
As much as she didn't want to give up any of the eggs, she knew they'd need trainers around here and she knew Tambrey wouldn't let them go far without a pressing reason. She reasoned to herself, and now tried with Swiftwing, that the young would hatch on base and at least Tam' had promised one could stay with a parent. It was better than she might have expected. "Pidge pidgeoh-toh." She warbled in a murmur. She didn't want to see the humans get hurt after all, she found. She did want the best for her eggs though.
All Tambrey could do was hold the ladder and watch from below. She stayed quiet for the moment, letting Panther do the negotiating.

Swiftwing was shocked at Palu's quiet warble. Let the human take the eggs? He turned to her and nuzzled before shooting another glare at the human. He did not want to hand over any eggs.
Slowly Panther reached forward and tried to pick up one of the eggs just to get them moved down. That was when Swiftwing struck, beak coming at the human forcing him to duck. "Calm down!"

It took a lot of willpower for Palu herself not to lunge and try to peck at Panther. But she was aware that he was Swiftwing's trainer and, she supposed if anything like her and Tam', Swiftwing's friend. She warbled again as the larger bird attacked. A fight could not be good for the eggs and besides, this was a trainer. Her trainer would never hurt her eggs, surely his wouldn't either? Still... There was a touch of pride to the female as she watched Swiftwing strike. Her mate was definitely capable and proud and she fluffed up a little happily, looking back for a quick check on the eggs.
"Is everything all right up there?!" Tam' called as she saw and heard somewhat of a commotion. "What's goin' on? D'ya... need me to come up?" Not that that was a very attractive prospect.

"Yeah, it's fine." he called back. But then Swiftwing struck again, this time a laugh crack was heard. Two black things landed near the floor by Tambey.
Swiftwing let out a loud War cry, and green eyes glared hard at the large bird. The ladder shook.

It's fine? Oh good. Then the black objects landed after the snapping sound. Tambrey had a rather good idea of what they must be even before she looked down to look. Ack. Her own eyes widened as they snapped back to the ladder; it was shaking!
"Ya sure you're alright up there?!" She called, peering up as she tried to hold the ladder still. "Don't ya fall off now... I'm no' good to be landed on." The last more muttered then called up.
Palu... had actually decided to step back and watch. This was Swiftwing's trainer after all. She was sure they could sort it out... but she was to be honest, rather impressed to see such disobedience. Oh yes, her mate was a bad boy.

"That's it! Swiftwing! You broke my glasses! You know expensive those are! Get in your ball now!" Panther held out a pokeball, glaring at the bigger bird, who quiet beating his wings. The grunt didn't seem to hear the other grunt down below.
There was a moment of silence from above.
Swiftwing stared hard at his trainer. He then looked down at the ground and finally at Palu. He then turned to his trainer and launched into the air, grabbing him with his claws and dumbing him much closer to the ground, before landing next to Tambery at the bottom of the ladder. The larger bird puffed up at her and then glanced up at the next and glared once again at the crumpled heap that was a grunt.
"Stupid bird."
