"There are some disasters that not even nature can over come," he commented thoughtfully. Of course it would have to be something extraordinarily giant in order for that to happen, and if it effected multiple planets, stars, asteroids or whatever then...he couldn't even imagine what would have reeked so much havoc. "Too bad they don't see it that way, we'll just have to teach them," he stated a grim look on his face lingering for a few fleeting seconds.

He listened thoughtfully to her reasons for helping the negaverse and he nodded to show that he had been paying attention. He didn't add any commentary however because anything that would be said would just be filler, so instead he indulged himself in her next couple of sentences.

"Well I'm glad to hear that," his goofy grin on his face again, "because that means that I'll have an easier time getting to know you and..." he trailed off as he stood up, offering both hands to her. "It might make it easier to convince you to maybe, possible, go on a date with me."

As she listened to him speaking of teaching the Senshi, the grim look on his face was temporarily echoed on her own. She flexed the fingers inside her gloves and then slowly balled them into fists. Her only goal in life, her only reason for fighting this war, was to try and teach the lost souls of her former comrades the things that they had forgotten. First and foremost - Earth belonged to its people and not the Senshi.

"We will," she echoed him quietly, her eyes drifting off again but only to stare out at the darkness around them.

The warmth in his voice brought her right back though and she turned to look up at him, her smile formed before he was even in her sight. It only widened with a soft, amused laugh as he pulled his best line of the night. She didn't answer right away, though, which would have been unsettling if she wasn't still smiling thoughtfully at him. She was obviously considering it, weighing her options, and trying to remember if she had ever even been on a date before. Her conclusion was a resounding no (unless Castor copping feels counted, and she certainly thought not).

She couldn't think of any reason to deny him. She was lonely in every sense of the word and, even if she wasn't sure if romance would cure that, she could certainly try to fill the gaps with personal comfort. Besides, he really was sweet, if a little goofy.

"Alright, one date Lieutenant," she said finally, lifting her chin up with confidence as she said it. Then she pointed a finger at him and narrowed her eyes in a mock-accusation. "But it had better be a good one because as far as I know, it's my very first."

When she had accepted, as he expected she would, his face lit up. When she thrust her finger at him he feigned surprise, dropped his hands and stepped backwards placing his hands over his chest dramatically, as if it was a big surprise. It was surprising, the fact that this could possibly be her first 'date', though and he cocked a brow at the information.

"I am hurt that you would think that I would treat you to anything than the best," he tried to say seriously but couldn't. He wasn't much of a serious person, most of the time. "It'll be the best date you will ever experience," he promised her extending a hand to her.

"When would be the best day for you?" He wanted to make it work for her, he found her highly attractive and he wanted to make a good impression.

She laughed at his attempt to act serious and offended, easily drawn in by the natural charm he brought to every word and simple gesture. There were just some people like that, those special individuals that could turn any bad mood away. It seemed that this lieutenant was one of them and that made Alkaid even more confident that a date could be a good thing.

"I'm free pretty much any day, considering I don't have a lot to do," she smiled as if it contained some kind of inside joke - and it did, to an extent. She was sure no one but herself (and maybe some of the other corrupted Senshi) knew what it was like to have such a free schedule. When you were starting a new life from scratch there really wasn't much demand for your time. "But maybe a Friday or Saturday would be nice?"

She reached out for his hand then as he offered it, letting her black gloves brush over the palm of his hand. Then, with no warning, she simply powered down. The ghastly crack in her chest was covered with glamour and her hair (although still dreaded) shortened to a more reasonable length just past her shoulders. The gloves covering her hands disappeared and her fuku faded away to simple jeans and a winter sweater.

"My name's Kaia," she said as she squeezed his hand gently with her own bare fingers, shaking it lightly with her second greeting.

It had been a while since Labyrinthite had actually asked a girl out on a date, not because of a lack of options but because of lack of interest. There was something about Alkaid that drew him in, perhaps it was like her senshi attack which drew people in. He didn't seem to question it however as he closed his hand around hers pulling her up as she powered down.

Surprise showed on his face at how casually she shifted from her powered form to her civilian one, he had to admit he had certainly not seen that coming. "Saturday at seven?" He suggest coolly as he himself remained powered up. "Any particular genre of food that you prefer?" He figured he'd get some basics information before he went about his plan, ideas already forming in his mind.

After his question lingered in the air for a moment he took the opportunity to power down himself revealing a teenage boy in black skinny jeans and a solid blue zip-up hoodie with a white trim. "Pleasure miss Kaia, I'm Chase," he re-introduced himself still holding on to her hand.

The surprise on his face was a treat. She liked to see a guy that wasn't stony and withdrawn but instead wore his emotions on his sleeve for the world to see. It made it easier for Kaia to connect, to react to him. It was tiring to be a robot all day and put her feelings aside for the sake of her duties. Chase's acceptance made her feel comfortable with him.

"You're asking questions I don't know the answers to," even though she smiled as she said it, it was the truth. She hadn't had a lot of exposure to things since her corruption and the only for-sure thing she knew was that she wasn't particularly fond of sweets. "Why don't you just surprise me? I don't mind a little adventure."

She smiled as he finally powered down, reaching out with her free hand to tug lightly at the zipper of his hoodie. Childish, playful, a little flirty maybe (or at least as flirty as Kaia could really manage). "Saturday at seven, Chase" she repeated his words back to him, slowly withdrawing her hand from his zipper. "I'll meet you here?" Somehow, meeting him at the Negaverse seemed as if it would ruin the whole 'date' idea. She didn't want to mix business and pleasure.

He frowned when she answered his question with something that wasn't really much of an answer at all. He pressed his lips together thoughtfully before an idea struck him. "Surprise it is," he promised giving her a mischievous smile. He was good at surprises, or so he liked to think. Already ideas were flowing through his head at possible prospects of their date. Plans were already forming.

"Meeting at the spot where we first met?" He raised his eyebrow almost suggestively. "Sounds romantic," he teased catching her hand as she tried to pull away. "Much better than the dark, sometimes dampening mood of the negaverse," he mused sliding his hand so her palm rested on his.

"If all goes well I can consider this 'our' spot right?" He joked easily as he slid a step backwards still holding on to her hand.

She had suggested the spot only because the Negaverse was dark and a mood killer, but when he spun it around to see romance in it she instantly flushed. She hadn't meant it that way but the idea was.. charming. Her cheeks were glowing a rosy red that was hard to miss even in the darkness of this poorly lit section of the park. If he was trying to make her react, he was definitely doing a good job of it.

"Yes, I suppose you could consider it our spot," was all she managed to say, not exactly sure how she was supposed to respond to that. She felt her words sticking in her throat every time she tried to say something so, in the end, all she could do was offer him a shy smile accented by the blush on her pale face. Her hand in his fidgeted, the fingers flexing and relaxing, and she was suddenly very aware of the feeling of his flesh beneath her palm.

"I hope you can live up to all your promises," it was a half-felt tease, a poor attempt to take back the upper hand she only just realized she had given to him. She felt small and confused next to him, but maybe that was only because she had never had anyone treat her like this - at least that she could remember. It wasn't bad, just something she had never explored before. Intimacy was certainly not on her résumé.

Chase had the ability to sway people with his words, most of the time, and it seemed to be working on his new companion nicely as she stopped talking and only smiled shyly at him. He found it endearing and cute to see her in a more vulnerable state. Though she had opened up to him easily he didn't feel like it was the same

Here he had the upper hand.

"I'll do what I can," he promised without really promising anything. "It will be the best first date you've ever had." Though it wouldn't be hard if she really hadn't been on a date before.

Intimacy was like second nature to the boy, he was a people person easily and found that often he found no problem in befriending someone or winning someone over, as he had just now. He was a pretty touchy person too without even realizing it. He lifted her hand to his lips and kissed the back of it. "You'll feel like a princess," he swore stepping away and letting her hand slip off of his. His exit was arriving shortly.

She laughed at his little joke, soft and unsure, but it was a laugh all the same. She hadn't been on a date since she was taken by the negaverse and, well, there was obviously no others for her to compare it to. She was sure the date could have been a hot mess and she still wouldn't have known otherwise. At least not for a while.

"I believe you," she said quietly as she felt his lips brush against the back of her hand, causing the blush on her cheeks to glow brighter. Her hand fell back into place at her side as he finally stepped away and she curled the hand he had kissed into itself.

"I'll see you Saturday, Chase." She gave him the briefest of smiles then and turned, putting her back to him as she walked back towards the direction she had come. Any further rounds would be useless with all of the thoughts on her mind, so she settled for walking towards the tea shop she had visited earlier with Zink. At least she could think things over there.

It wasn't hard to convince her that the date would be fabulous and that was because she had nothing else to go off of and he meant every single word he said. He wasn't one for relationships, not often, because he always managed to screw it up but here, here he had a clean slate and perfect chance to try and do it right.

He only hoped he could.

"Be safe Kaia," he called after her as she started down the opposite direction. Sticking his hands in the pockets of his jacket he turned on his heel and headed back the way he came. As with Alkaid there would be no more patrolling for him, he hadn't been productive regardless and he wouldn't be productive now so he turned to return to his dorm room before they noticed he was even missing.
