The rustling quieted as she got closer. Did the creature making the noise hear her? Well in any matter she was still going to look and see if it was still there. Carefully and quietly she snuck up on the trees and bushes. There was the sound of fluttering wings and struggling. Quickly she brushed the branches aside to see a bat caught. "You are a sad little thing to be stuck like this." She said quietly as she reached in carefully and grabbed up the creature from the branches and twigs. It squeaked and squirmed but she didn't feel like letting go of it quiet yet. Such a small and helpless creature.
"Oh!" She turned her head quickly looking back to the stallion. Feeling slightly less annoyed now, she motioned to him to come over.

Naxos saw that she motioned him to get a closer look. "Is that a little bat?" Asking as he saw the little creature. He looked towards the bush to realize that the little thing was only stuck. "It's kinda cute, Aldora. You gonna keep it?" Asking as his long tail swished at the mosquitoes.

She nodded to him. "Yes. It is a bat. Poor thing was caught in the branches of that bush." She didn't open her clawed foot because she didn't want to release the small creature. "Yes..." Her eyes focused in on the little thing "I will be keeping it. It's injured anyways. He won't survive if I don't take him."
The bat was small enough for her to tuck it into her headdress so she reached up, placing it in her feathers. "I don't feel like heading back to camp yet but we do need to find something to put on it's wings. There's a tear in one. Come Naxos." She turned about and headed towards an area where she remembered there to be herbs that could possibly help.

Naxos saw the tear in it wing as well. He felt a bit heartbroken to see the little creature hurt. "It suits you quite well." Adding as he followed after her. He hoped to find a companion of his own one day so that they both can have conversation and be able to talk to aldora when she wasn't around. "I don't mind not going back. Feels good to stretch my legs! That safe haven has been getting a little cramped from so many males showing up." He said with a little gallop like dance.

Aldora was finally back to not feeling irritated with her stallion, almost feeling regretful of how she talked to him, but not enough to apologize. She couldn't do that... it would just open up doors that shouldn't be opened.
"Thank you Naxos.. He does make for a good addition to my headdress, no?" She laughed lightly for it wasn't often that she tried to joke and play around like that. Aldora made sure the little creature would be able to stay safe where he was, then she began to walk towards the field she was thinking of... just near the edge of the Harpies' territory. "I think I shall call him Roman? What do you think?" She figured she would let him feel a bit more at ease for how she had acted just a bit ago.
Ears twisted back to listen to the stallion's comments about the haven for the males. She even had to admit to herself that it was most likely so, even though she hadn't bothered giving it any thought before then. "It shows signs of the flock growing. True it's males, but it is still growth." An urge to try to be kinder to Naxos welled p inside so she gave in. "I am sorry that I have not given you a chance to be out of there more often... I shall try to make sure that you can be, alright?"

Naxos chuckled as she joked about the bat being part of her headdress. He looked up at it with a smile then rested a wing on Aldora. "Roman? Sounds strong and proud. It suits the little bat." He said as he tried to make the bat feel welcomed as well. He stayed close to her side, smiling lightly.
Ears perked up when she talked about the flock growing. "One day we'll have our own part of the flock. I know that you'd be happier with me if I gave you female offspring." He said as he tried to make her feel better. He knew that the flock was her life and important to her. He nuzzled her neck, giving her a lightly kiss on the cheek. "Aldora.... As long as I can see you then I don't care about being in the safe haven. It gives me strength to know that nothing has happened to you."

Aldora jumped slightly at his wing rested on her, unsure of how to react to this. She turned her head, slowly of course so Roman would not fall, so Naxos could not see the confusion on her face. Overwhelming feelings were welling up because she knew that her sisters would not approve of her stallion touching her in such a way... especially if they were not trying for children. At the same time it was a slightly comforting feeling that she wanted to like.
She managed to push the confusing thoughts out of her head, nodding in reply to his comment. "One day.. yes. But how I wish one day would come sooner. So many of my sisters have had children and I shamefully confess that I envy them." Her head drooped along with her ears, the little bat clinging to the feathers so he wouldn't fall. "Even some of their children have children now. I love seeing all the babies and taking care of them, but I can't help but wish I could enjoy the same joy as they do." As he kissed her cheek she jerked her head up, staring at him with intense eyes. The poor little bat took a tumble back off her headdress and onto her back. "W-why would you do such a thing. I'm sure that I would be scolded and you punished if anyone were to see such a thing happening!" She took a few stumbling steps back from him, even more confused now because she was enjoying the affection from him, but it wasn't right and surely would be frowned upon by her sisters and queen.
This stallion was making things hard on Aldora.. causing her to question things that she's seen as absolutes her entire life.

Naxos realized what he was doing, moving his wing away so that he would try to hide his feelings. He watched as she had grown sad over the thought of no children. He wanted to comfort her, but such display of emotions were punishable by the queen harpy. He needed to learn how to control these emotions better for the good of Aldora's health and safety.
"Our time will come, but waiting make it worth. We'll be making the flock stronger. I promise to keep trying until we have had our own offspring." Naxos said as he watched the bat cling for dear life. He was startled after she jerked her head. His ears drooped along with his head. "Forgive me, aldora... I only wished to comfort you in your time of pain..." He spoke as he looked away from her.

Aldora's eyes stayed focused on Naxos with an intense stare, uncertainty. Thoughts were flying through her head as she desperately tried to make sense of things that were happening, how she was feeling, and what the consequences could be. She didn't want him to feel bad because it was a great comfort to her after she gave some thought about it, but how could she betray her flock's beliefs?
After a few minutes of internal conflicts her body began to get less and less tense. She stared up at the sky as if she were looking for answers, but couldn't find any. Closing her eyes, she lowered her head then looked at Naxos. Her expression was one that most likely wouldn't be figured out or placed easily. Slowly she walked back over to the stallion, giving him and gentle nuzzle with her nose. "Please forgive me Naxos. I know that you were just trying to comfort me. There are many things that are confusing me right now and I don't quite know how to deal with them."
She gave a soft smile then turned her attention back to the small creature on her back, feeling awful. "I'm sorry Roman... please forgive me." Carefully she picked him back up with her clawed foot and set him back in her headdress.

Naxos was a bit surprised when Aldora moved closer to him. He smiled, gave her a light nuzzle then moved away. "I should keep my emotions for you in check. I wouldn't want anything to happen to you..." He said as he worried about her. His wings flitted at his sides while his head drooped. He gave a chuckle as he looked at the little bat, "Poor little Roman. He needs a friend." He joked as he smiled at the bat.

Aldora felt a twinge in her chest as he stepped away, it catching her off-guard. It flustered her slightly in all actuality because she was starting to decide on pushing some things to the side when it came to how she was suppose to act with him. He was wearing down her need to see him as only a slave, but now she was just as confused as before. With a sigh she let her face go to a blank expression. "You make me feel all sorts of confusion...."
She sighed once more and shook her head mumbling to herself under her breath. Aldora was beginning to think the situation was not worth it, but a stubborn streak that she normally refused to acknowledge came out. With a huff she stomped her feet and stood in front of him, face to face. "No more of this silliness. You are mine!" She stared into his eyes. "I don't care anymore!.. not while we're alone like this anyways. I need affection and I managed to find a slave... a male... erm.. you! One who is still willing to give it to me even though you know you're not suppose to. Even though I made you to be my slave." For the first time she felt ashamed of that fact.
She turned her back to him, unsure how to handle all these strange feelings, wants, and urges that she had never felt before. As she was trying to stop herself from crying, back still turned to him, she demanded an answer from him. "Do you care for me or not?!" Just her want to know that and break with Harpy tradition seemed to lift a weight off her shoulders that she never knew was baring down on her til then. She would have to face her consequences were someone to even find out that she was beginning to have possible feelings for her slave, but she just didn't care. She needed to know if there was a chance to feel that feeling called love. Not just the love she had known for her sisters, the foals she looked after.. but a deeper love than that.

"Confusion? What is there to be confused about? You are my master and I am your humble slave, Aldora. Even if I do have feelings for you, it shouldn't be shown."Asking as his ears perked forward with curiosity. He was interested in what she meant by being confused. Was it him showing affection and feelings?
Naxos was startled when she had gotten really close to him. He looked deeply into her eyes. "Aldora... I can give you all the affection you want, but not in front of the eyes of others. You think of me not as a salve?" Speaking as he began to feel confused at what she was telling him.
He blinked at her question, still in a slight daze. "I....I do care for you, Aldora!" He whinnied as he felt his heart pound in his chest. He felt a mixture of emotions as he wondered why she was acting like this.

She snapped at him. "There is EVERYTHING to be confused about for me Naxos! Everything!" She began to pace, agitated. "Do you not understand what this is for me?! It's going against everything I've ever known and believed and felt!"
Her mind was racing all over the place as she paced, not even sure where she was going with all of this. Why was she saying these things?! Why was she feeling these thing?! It boggled her mind as she struggled within. Her talons ripped up the ground beneath her and she tore back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. This was so unlike her to even think to say something that would even remotely come to getting her in trouble with The Flock and now she was spurting things that could very well end her life as she knew it!
What was she doing?! What? What? The overwhelming feelings were fogging up her mind and she didn't hear anything the stallion was saying to her. Finally, under complete and total stress and confusion, she collapsed, passed out.
The poor little bat was disoriented from the whole thing as well. Roman clung to Aldora as tightly as possible as to avoid being tossed off with the chance of being stepped on or crushed. His little eyes darted about and his chest quickly going up and down as he panted from the stress that was now coming over him.

Naxos' ears pinned back as she snapped at him. He felt hurt, but felt that he wouldn't understand what she was going through. He watched as her talons tore up the ground as she paced. "You're going to wear yourself out, Aldora... It's not healthy to stress..." He said as he watched the little bat become stressed out as well.
"ALDORA!" Naxos yelled as he watched her collapse. He used his wings to fan her into consciousness. "Aldora! Wake up!" He panicked as he tried to wake her back up.

Roman released his grip from Aldora's feathered headdress and flopped on the ground, relieved that he had not been trampled.
Aldora groaned, her eyes wanting to flutter open but they were too heavy. Her head rolled side to side, side to side in her unconscious state of being. Her body was shaking and shivering and she could not control it. 'what is this?' she wondered to herself in her mind. She could feel Naxos with her, her body's movements, but had no control and no voice.. just this slight inner consciousness.
