Tanzanite lifted an arm to block, but too late. His foot collided with her open palm, which came slamming into the side of her own head. She began to stumble back, but closed her blackened hand around that ankle. She added her strength to his momentum, and a spin of her body would attempt to throw him against the far wall.
Of the advantages of being a General, the most powerful was certainly the ability to teleport without being utterly exhausted. It had become a tool upon which Tanzanite relied in combat, as most senshi were not accustomed to it's use in combat. Tanzanite quite suddenly ceased to be, teleporting through the space between them and aiming an elbow for Zinkenite's nose.
“You're fighting magic as well, Zinkenite. You must adapt quickly.”

He almost made a good landing of it, twisting to ricochet himself rather than smash off it like the first time. It wasn't perfect though, he half toppled to the floor winded.
He was just struggling to his feet when she appeared in front of him, the elbow swinging for his nose with every intent to blood and break it. He flinched backwards without thinking, the first step perhaps in the right direction and teleported too, perhaps a more hap hazard move. He appeared again behind her and grappled for a good fistful of hair to give him leverage when he slammed a boot heel towards the back of her knee.
The unfortunate thing was, that he was only a captain, the fight AND the teleport were both wearing on him, and short of a head lock or attempted choke hold which would probable end up with him bitten or worse he was running short on ideas of what to hit next.

He had made a fatal mistake. Though his teleportation had carried him to an advantageous point, it would not leave him with the strength to grapple with someone of a higher rank. Had he been fighting an eternal right then, Captain Zinkenite would have been dead within moments. His kick landed, and Tanzanite let her knee bend forward to absorb the shock. Her body rolled forward as her hand grabbed at the wrist holding her hair. She took him down with her, the force of her forward motion flipping him into the far wall.
He might have taken some of her hair with him, but it was nothing that the General could not endure with only a slight frown. Slowly, Tanzanite picked herself up, smoothing the wild purple locks and adjusting one of the black feathers back into place.
“Teleportation is not an option for a Captain, Zinkenite. You have to weigh your options, and decide if it is worth the energy. Unless you are positive you can get a kill shot immediately, you are weakening yourself. You could have had a senshi had you used that position to grab their starseed. They cannot teleport; once you have that, they are yours.”
It was obvious by the way Tanzanite folded her arms over her chest, a gesture made somewhat difficult by the heavy black arm, that the fight was over.
“You will fight, and fight, and fight, until these things become instinct. Until thinking is no longer required and your body responds because fighting is all it knows. It is your decision if that is the path you wish to choose, Captain, or if you will serve the Negaverse in another way.”
