Time had gone by slowly in the horned mare's presents. As much as he enjoyed disgusting her with his habits and killing, he couldn't have been happier to arrive and see her off. He had started to recognize the familiar surroundings, and accepted that he wasn't being led into a trap. His ears flicked back when they finally stopped. Was she trying to insult his nose, or compliment it? Holding back a pervy comment, Godric just smirked. Just as a light breeze drifted by, Godric could already smell Sunshine. Her scent had changed since he had last seen her. He couldn't figure out just what was different about it though. Green eyes caught the movement of another figure lingering in the trees. It was a male, wind from what Godric could tell. Nothing that he wouldn't be able to take care of, if it tried to make a move.
"There." He heard the mare beside him speak, glancing over to what she was pointing out.
How had he missed her? The warm color of her coat was all Sunshine, and he couldn't stop taking a step towards her. Snorting in reply to the mare's warning, Godric straightened his posture. He took his time walking up to his 'friend', taking note of the scattered wicker that lay a short distance away from her.
He was feeling a lot of anticipation to see her again. She looked... healthy if not a little spooked. Better than what the horned beast had described, at least. Godric stopped a ways away from her, giving her as much space as she needed. He wasn't used to being this careful, but if he wanted to find out why she had to see him again, he'd have to do things her way for awhile. Seeing her shift, it didn't take long for him to find out what she had hidden beneath her tail.

Two small little foals. Taking another whiff of the air, he guessed the genders. One boy, and one girl. Their colors as rich and natural as their mother's. Their manes were still short, and the looked quite healthy.
Godric frowned, surprised that the temptation to feed upon them was not pushing at his will. The similarities towards their mother were undeniable, and the few splotches of black that tinted their coats was the same shade of his own. And if Godric had hair underneath his pelt, he was almost positive that it's color would resemble his daughter's. Taking a short breath in, Godric waited for Sunshine to speak. The first move was her's to mak

Her muscles quivered, fighting the sudden urge to flee from the monster that had tried to kill her months ago. She remembered talking to him, laughing and teasing him beneath the moon. Those memories were important to her and she wanted to hold onto those, not the painful ones. But what did you say to a 'friend' that had tried to eat you? She frowned a little, not knowing what the social protocol was in a situation like this.
She opened her mouth to speak when
the filly stirred, yawning and blinking sleepily in the sunlight. "Maman?" The filly questioned, tilting her head to blink at Sunshine. Movement caught her eye and the foal swivelled her head to blink eyes as blue as her mother's at Godric instead. "Maman?" This time it was spoken with a uncertain pitch, little ears easing back uncertaintly at this rather large and imposing figure standing nearby.
"Hush Nimet. It's alright." Sunshine soothed, lipping gently at the filly's fluff of mane. "He won't hurt you.....Right?" This last part was directed at Godric, crystal blue eyes fixing him with a judging look.

"Right," Godric confirmed, trying to swallow the lump that had formed in his throat. A part of him was very uncomfortable about the whole thing, yet he had no desire to flee. This was a consequence that he wouldn't run from, if it wasn't curiosity holding him back, it was his pride at being unable to leave something like this behind. He couldn't remember his own father, or if he ever had one, but it wasn't something that they were supposed to do. Even ones as monstrous as I? He wondered, staring at the tousled head that appeared from beneath it's mother's tail. The signs of affection Sunshine have the small foal seemed natural to him, and he was surprised when it didn't make him uncomfortable.
Godric wanted to take another set towards them to get a better look at the foals, but it was still Sunshine's call. He wouldn't move until she invited him to. His ear's picked up the name of his daughter just before he noticed the other ball of fluff move.

Garrick's head raised from the soft patch of his mother's fur he was resting on. Bright green eyes sleepily opened from a pleasant nap, and he yawned sleepily. Almost immediately, he picked up on the tension in the air and the rigidness of his mother's body around he and his sister. Glancing up at Sunshine's face, he followed the direction of her eyes and found a... Cat like Soquili standing slightly off in the distance. "Who is that?" He whispered, scooting closer to his sister.

Godric's ears caught the question his son presented, and he listened for the answer that Sunshine would provide. Would he be just a stranger to them?

Sunshine blinked and tilted an ear back at his monosyllabic response, her lips twitching in a flicker of amusement before settling back into a slight frown. Trust Godric to be so...stoic in his response. It was a very male thing to do, especially since emotions weren't a very easy thing for him. She left that thread of thought and turned her attention turned away once more as Garrick stirred and yawned. Leaning over and giving his cheek a lick, she smiled. "Good morning sleepy."
"Dunno." Nimet whispered back to her brother, huffing as Sunshine licked one of her ears. "Mammannn!" She whined, shaking her head reflexively and letting her ears flop.
"Hush now. That's your father." The mare murmured, nipping one flopping ear. "You don't want to scare him off with your loud noises." She teased, swivelling an ear in Godric's direction. "Now go apologize and say hello." She said, giving Nimet and then Garrick both a nudge of encouragement with her muzzle. While she wasn't sure what Godric was going to do when faced with his children up close, Sunshine was pretty certain that he wouldn't harm either foal, especially since he knew they were his own flesh and blood. And if not, Kalen'dri and Ciar were still lurking nearby if she needed to defend her children.
"Oh....Alright!" She chirruped, looking at the pelted Soquili with curious eyes, ears perked as she scrambled to her feet. "Com'mon Garrick." Nimet didn't wait for her brother to get up before half bouncing, half wobbling across the sand towards Godric, looking rather determined not to fall over. It hadn't been that long since she'd come out of her basket after all. As it was, she tripped over her own hooves and fell in scatter of sand and an unhappy squeak to land in an untidy heap close to Godric.

Garrick's fur stood on end as he wobbly found his legs. His overly eager sister was already a few paces ahead of him, not waiting for him to catch up to greet the large male that was supposedly his father. We don't even look alike. We don't have fur on our backs like that. Why does he even wear that? He thought to himself, trying to steady himself before walking forward. There was something about his "father" that didn't feel safe, and a natural instinct to protect rose in his chest. "Slow down Nim-" He wasn't fast enough, he realized as his sister tripped over her own hooves in her hurry to be first. His hooves fell fast as he picked up his pace to come to a stop behind the tangled pile of limbs that was his sister.

It almost bothered Godric how calm his heart was when the small filly started running straight for him. His body was slightly more tense than normal, but that could be blamed on the whole uncomfortable situation. The child wasn't going to harm him, it just wanted to... Do what? See him up close? What did fathers do with their children? Godric had no memory of having parents.
His heart lept uncomfortably when the small filly that was his daughter suddenly fell forward into the sand. He growled instinctively, (And ignored any movement in the area around him because of the action) but instead of spooking and fleeing, his calmly stepped forward to nose the filly back onto her legs. Staring down at her, with an odd sort of patience, the urge to lecture her on her rash actions sprouted in his mind. Instead, he craned his neck to view the other small foal that had appeared behind it's sibling.
Even at such a young age, the eyes of his son reflected his own.

Sunshine heaved herself up and shook the sand from her pelt, ears twitching as she heard her daughter squeal. She wanted to run to the girl so badly, muscles tensed to do so, but she restrained herself, swiveling her head to see just what Godric would do. The thick pelted mare couldn't keep her hooves from picking their way across the sand towards where her children and Godric stood. No matter what, she wanted to be close.
Nimet huffed and shook her head violently, snorting the sand from her nostrils. The growl that she heard ridged what little fur she had along her shoulderblades, but it didn't sound threatening, so it didn't spook her beyond being unexpected. She struggled back to her feet, looking up suddenly as the large stallion loomed close and helped her to her feet with a nudge that almost knocked her over again.
She blinked and perked her ears forward, one tilting sideways as her brother came up next to her, still staring up at the pelted stallion. There was no fear in those blue eyes so like her mother's, only burning curiousity and awe, tinged with the slightly intimidated look some foals had when faced with a stranger so much larger than themselves. "Are you really my papa?" She whispered, bumping her nose against his shoulder and snuffling the fur there, taking in his scent. He smelled of musk and woods and....something metallic that she couldn't name.

"Yes," He answered her bluntly. There was no denying the resemblance between him and the foals. A part of him wished to believe that even after what he did to Sunshine, that she wouldn't lie to him. Though why would she want me back into her life, if they weren't mine? From the time they spent together, Godric understood that she wouldn't stand by to let him harm any of her loved ones. He could already see that these two foals were more important to her than anything else in this life. His stature lowered as Nimet neared closer to him. He stood still as she took in his scent.
Garrick watched on, his ear pressed back against his skull. Nimet was getting far too close to the unfamiliar male that was supposed to be their father. For some reason, his stallion's presents was making mother worry. Though he knew that she wouldn't allow either of them to get harmed. "Do you stay with mum," He spoke up, shivering when the large male's eyes met his own before flickering back over to Sunshine. Garrick remembered many of the smells of the different Soquili that visited his mother while he was still inside of the basket. Godric's was new to him, which meant that he hadn't been there when they were born. Why?
Godric hadn't expected such a forward question from the foal, and started at the small child before looking to Sunshine. He wasn't sure where he was standing right now, and he didn't want to overstep. Though the truth was "No, I do not live around here," Godric replied, a quiet growl under his tone. "I did not have any knowledge of either of you two before today,"

"You smell funny. Meta-metal-licky." The filly finally said before she giggled and bumped Godric's shoulder with her nose, her tail flicking. She turned her head to Garrick as he came up next to her, blinking at him before frowning slightly. He was tense and she couldn't figure out why. This stallion was their Father, he should be happy he was there, not suspicious and tense. "What's wrong Garrick?" She asked, trying to look from her brother, then to her mother as she approached, then to Godric as he spoke. There was too many of them there to keep track of and the filly felt just about ready to topple over from trying to look at everyone. Instead, she huffed and turned, bouncing over to her Mother and burying her face in the long silky strands.
Sunshine hummed and leaned down to nuzzle her daughter before looking between Godric and Garrick. "Your Father travels, Garrick." She explained, glancing to Godric and perking her ears forward. Taking a breath, she paced forward carefully and stopped within Godric's space, stifyling the urge to shiver in the other's prescense. Pain, terror, blood, betrayal, memories she thought she had come to terms with raced through her mind. The mare raised her head to look at the pelted stallion almost defiantly, one ear canting back slightly, though it was defiance at her memories and not at the male in front of her. Sunshine held his gaze for a few heartbeats before her face seemed to crumble in sorrow and defeat and she looked away to gaze over the lake instead, sighing. She didn't want to upset him or the children. Especially not the children, through Nimet made a soft sound and leaned into her Mother, blinking blue eyes at Godric and tilting an ear back as if to ask why he wasn't comforting her too.
