That's great he is doing better. It sucks that the meds are so expensive. I have an anxiety disorder too. The med I take is expensive too, even with insurance. Xanax is cheap, but I don't like how it makes me feel. Personally I've had more luck with the SSRIs. Lexapro works well for me even at a very low dosage, but everyone is different. maybe he can talk to his doctor about trying some meds that have a generic to help with the $$$. Cognitive behavioral therapy can also be very helpful for people with anxiety disorders.
The medicine doesnt cost that much its just during the time between then and now we barely had enough to survive but he wants to get a job that helps with the cost of meds and doctor's visit. I havent had my medication for my asthma, allergies, and migraines for the same amount of time he hasn't had his. But my Asthma meds cost $200 a month for them. >.< Its like that is the amount we could use for our $300 rent.
I was thinking of doing family therapy to help with everything. I even have a few mental problems that I hide from the world and it would probably help us both. Besides the only behavioral therapist close by is in Springfield and that is a long drive. He wont drive by himself so I would have to go with him and being close to my due date I can't go anywhere that is more then a hour away from my house *doctor's orders* just in case I go into labor. And he is trying to keep this from his family. They arent as understanding as I am.

I know what you mean about the cost of meds. Even with insurance all the crap I take costs a fortune. I have to scrape it together if I need to beg borrow or steal to get it though, because I just can NOT go without most of it. last month my insurance company held my insulin hostage until I paid up. gonk It's disgusting the way this system treats us. I can't tell you how sick it makes me. I'm sorry your in this situation and I'm sorry his family is unhelpful. There was a period of time my husband tried to keep his illness from his family as well, but eventually it came out and they were more understanding than we thought they would be. I think the family therapy sounds like an excellent idea, it may just be a big help to both of you after the baby comes. If it makes you feel any better, $300 sounds like a really good deal on rent!!! Where do you live, I'm moving in!!

Our rent was $275 at the start of moving in BUT my stupid landlord charged us $25 more because of my rabbit. The idiot thinks that my bunny that is litterbox trained would do more damage then my cats that gets claw happy all the time. =/ But we are trying our best to keep everything neat and tighty. But our apartment is old and run down. It was built in the 1920's and full of holes. XD I dont trust my rats our of their cage cuz of it.

UPDATE: My husband has been home for about 5 days. He started to become his old self and we decided to start therapy. The Navy called his condition Adjustment Disorder. The suggested therapy and medication for a while to help him adapt to everything. Which we are going to do. He is going to file for unemployment and going to apply at the factories around our area so we can get a different home. If he gets a factory job my husband wants us to get a house to raise our boy. C= Im just so happy he is back to his hold self. XD His goofy, joke telling, hyper self.

Thanks imderanged. We found a place to do a rent to own thing but we wont be able to move in to it until next year. It is my husband's old house that he lived in with his roommate. She is going to Alabama for the rest of her schooling so her and her boyfriend, 3 cats, and two pugs are moving away to there.
