Twi giggled along with his new friend. He hadn't had this much fun in, well ever! He chuckled at Gir when his friend poked the bulging front of his shirt and asked him if he had gained weight.
"Twi's got sticky fingers, he grabbed the fat purse that the fat man dropped." Twi replied with a conniving grin.
Twi turned to stare at Gir's stomach as it gurgled loudly. "Sounds like it needs a lot of food. Sounds like a good idea! I'll pay!" Twi said with a laugh.
"but first I should stash this fat purse where it won't get grabbed by another thief."

Gir smiled at the idea of food. He was hungry and Twi was so nice for offering to buy him food! His new little brother was great! Of course he hadn't noticed Twi had started talking in the third person like him. He nodded when Twi described how he had gotten the money, thank goodness it had been from a male otherwise Gir would have insisted the boy give it back. You never stole from a Lady.
"Gir has a place to hide the fat purse. And Gir has a place we can buy food!"
He took Twi onto his back again and headed for some abandoned buildings. He had stayed there before and knew some of the local squatters. One part of the building was rumored to be haunted but it was really Gir's illusions. So very few would come in there. He showed Twi a small place in the wall where their stash would be safe.
"Ok, now Twi and Gir can go get some food!"
He continued carrying his new little brother around until they reached the backalley of a restaurant. He was use to coming this way, not to mention he wouldn't be good for the rest of the customers to see. But at least they could get a filling meal.
"Twi should order. Gir.....can never decided"

Twi didn't notice his mirroring Gir's speech mannerisms. If he had he probably would have found it amusing. Of course he didn't have the same standards of who he stole from; his victims were usually random people. Though he did tend to go after those who weren't so vigilant or wary.
"Great!" He exclaimed jubilantly. He was starting to love having Gir as a friend. Especially because he kept getting piggy back rides from him. Twi grinned from ear to ear kicking his legs enthusiastically during the short ride to the abandoned buildings.
"Are you sure it's safe here?" Twi asked looking around with a shrewd eye. He hadn't heard of the haunting and from what he could see the building was to open and prone to being used by homeless drow. He didn't want someone to find his stash and spend it all on booze. He had had that happen before.
"Uh okay." Twi said. He pulled free a small amount of coins before he stashed the purse into the wall. He was happy when he got another piggy back ride to the restaurant.
"I get to order? COOL!" Twi exclaimed excited. His quick eyes scoured the menu and blurted out about half a dozen different items to the person at the back door.

Gir smiled as his new little brother ordered for them. He seemed to know what he wanted and Gir was very sure he would like anything. He took a seat at a table that was set out back, mostly for Gir to use. He pulled up a seat for Twi to sit at. Now what were they going to do until the food arrived? He knew! They could tell stories! He giggled and began to tell Twi about his adventures, sometimes letting their silverware and condiments act it out.
Finally a female drow came out with their food. She smiled brightly at Gir when she saw him, giving him a kiss on the forehead.
"Why if it isn't our precious Gir! Oh how we have missed him!" she chuckled and patted his head. In fact a few more waitresses stuck their heads out and waved to Gir.
Gir smiled at all his ladies, waving enthusiastically and enjoying thier attention. He was very respect to each until he and Twi were left alone to eat.
"Remember Twi, always be respectful to your lady. For she serves the Lady and we serve her through our service," he smiled and started eating.

Twi bounced around impatiently for a little bit as he waited for their order to come. He heard rather than saw Gir pull a seat up for him and turned around. With a giant grin stretched ear from ear, Twi bounded over to the table and clambered up into the chair and swung his legs back and forth.
Twi was very thoroughly entertained by the fanciful stories of Gir's adventures and couldn't help but feel awed by all the wonderful and exciting things Gir had done. He chortled and giggled with glee as the condiments and the silverware acted out the stories. It was perhaps one of the most joyous occasions in Twi's short life.
Twi wrinkled his nose when the female kissed Gir on the forehead but didn't say anything. At least she hadn't kissed him on the mouth, now that was just gross! Twi didn't see why adults liked to kiss all the time.
"Hello!" Twi called to the ladies mimicking Gir's enthusiasm.
He was slightly annoyed that they were disturbing him and Gir but knew better than to show that. He'd been cuffed for less than that before.
"Yes Gir," He agreed and then began stuffing his mouth full of the delicious food in front of him. "so after this what then?" he mumbled around a mouth full of food.

Gir was happy Twi liked his stories and his story telling, some people got weirded out by his magic way of telling things. He didn't even notice Twi's face when he got the kiss, so use to this treatment from female drow. He was truly an oddity. Females adored him in some strange manner while males usual despised him. Twi was really the first male to like him. Maybe it was his age.
Most likely to Twi's great surprise, Gir ate like a perfect gentleman. He knew which fork to use and showed all the mannerisms of a drow that had a high house. Gir always ate like this, it saved his butt many times in more serious social situations when he could prove he wasn't a savage. But he didn't say a word to Twi about the boy's sloppy eating, in fact he didn't even seem to notice. Gir was in his own world when he ate, though sometimes the condiments would dance for them again.
Thought he didn't think about it nor did he remember a lot of it, Twi was not Gir's first Little Brother. He had several over the years but once they were a certain age they always left him. He was never really sad to see them go, thinking them old enough to be without Big Brother around. He didn't think Twi would be any different. He might stay with Gir for a few years but he would leave him, like the others. And Gir felt no saddness, he was happy right now and that was all that matters. Then Twi asked a question.
"What shall we do? Gir thinks we should take a nap. Gir is tired and it is late. Bad people come out at night. Gir must keep Twi safe. They will go back to their hiding spot and sleep there," he nodded. Despite his endless enthusiasum Gir was rather tired. He never showed it but there were times when he used his magic to the point of utter exhaustion.

Twi'leit couldn't remember the last time he had been so thoroughly entertained. By the time the last morsel of food was swept up into his greedy little mouth he was starting to get sleepy from overindulging on so much good food. His eyes started to flutter as he became drowsy and then he yawned loudly.
He blinked sleepily up at Gir's mention of a nap and nodded in agreement. "Yes, a nap, aaaaaaaaaah, sound wonderful." he said slightly smacking his lips and looking around cautiously. Normally he tried to stay alert while out in the Underdark crowds; he was a bit annoyed with himself for letting his guard down. Though, surely if something were to happen Girl would be able to get the both of them to safety.
Twi grinned up sleepily at Gir, rubbed his eyes again and grabbed Gir's hand. "All right, let's go. We don't want to get caught half asleep out here."

Gir thanked the ladies once more before they left, making sure Twi showed the same manners, then walked back towards the place they had hidden their stash. He yawned a bit, some of his illusions growing weaker as his mind became sleepy. Finally they arrived. Gir found another hiding spot that contained blankets for them to sleep on. He spread one out in a larger room and another in a smaller room.
"Now Twi must listen. Gir sleeps alone. It is....better...that way. So Twi must sleep in the big room. Gir will be in the small one," he pointed to each room. Twi was in the room without the money since rarely did anyone disturb Gir's sleep. He felt it was important for him to say this though. He patted Twi's head.
"Have good dreams. Have good dreams for Gir. So Gir does not dream. Yes," he nodded before heading towards his room.

Twi obliged Gir and gave the ladies a polite thank you, with a slight bow to them. This caused most of them to favor him with a smiles, pettings and a hug or two much to Twi's surprise. He found that he rather liked being treated in such a manner. Perhaps there was a good side to doing what Gir said to do. Twi tucked this information into the deep recesses of his mind and followed Gir from the restaurant.
Twi'leit was glad to see that the abandoned building they had left the gold in was completely undisturbed and watched as Gir chose two rooms to lay out two old tattered blankets. He wasn't that offended or surprised when Gir told him he wanted to sleep alone. Twi preferred it that way as well; it was much easier to protect one's self when there was no one there to disturb you or alarm you at the wrong moment.
"Okay," Twi agreed yawning and headed off to the bigger room. He stopped and cocked his head to the side at the last thing Gir told him. "Wait, will my dreams affect yours?" He asked a bit astonished at the thought.

"No...no not affect Gir," he looked a little sleepy and a little sad, "Gir doesn't have dreams. Dreams are bad. Bad things happen. So Gir does not dream. So Twi must have good happy dreams for Gir instead. Tell Gir about them in the morning. Yes."
He nodded again to his little friend and went into his bedroom. He closed the door tight and laid down to another night of dreamless sleep. He had been told to never have dreams. He couldn't understand why normally he didn't but he remembered one little brother who didn't listen. He came into Gir's room when he had a dream. Bad things happened. They had to take little brother away. So Gir slept alone. As always.
He awoke the next morning bright and happy as normal. He went outside to the main room to wait for his little brother to awake. He had a though as he waited and knew it would be a fun adventure for him and Twi if he could remember his way to the spot he wanted to go to.

Twi's face scrunched up as he thought that over for a moment. It seemed a bit weird that his friend couldn't dream but he wasn't going to object to dreaming good dreams. "Okay, I'll try! Sleep well Gir!" He said with a small wave and then headed into his big room.
Twi laid in the middle of the blanket which had been laid out over some old sacks of beans and wrapped himself up like a burrito as best as he could. It didn't take long for him to fall off into a deep sound sleep. As he slept, a small smile twitched at the corners of his lips and his brow smoothed out as it wasn't being burdened by any stress.
When Twi's eyes finally flew open from his sleep a chuckle escaped his mouth at the remembrance of a very unusual and colorful dream that he had experienced. He tugged himself free from the blanket, and folded it in a sloppy square before laying it back on top of the bags of beans. He ran his fingers through his dusty hair and then ran to find Gir and tell him about the dream he had enjoyed.
"Gir gir!" He cried when he found him and ran pummeling into the older drow with fervor. "You won't believe the dream I had! It was soo cool!"

Gir smiled brightly as Twi joined him in the main room. He caught him in his arms and laughed. It was nice to have another little brother. Brother had a dream?!
"Tell Gir what your dream was about!" he grinned.
Once Twi had finished his description Gir laughed and giggled, complimenting him on such a good dream. Maybe one day he'd have a nice dream. But for now he had a good thought, a fun thought, a SWEET thought!
"Gir has remembered," he smiled as if he were proud he had actually remembered something, "Gir has candy! It is hiding so we will have to go get it. Gir thinks he remembers the place. Would Twi like to go with him? Oh! First we must eat breakfast. Always have good breakfast."

Twi giggled with glee when Gir grabbed him up into his arms. It was so awesome to have a big brother! And to have someone to share his dreams with.
"It was a dream about us! We had our own candy shop and instead of people haggling for prices, they had to pay in gems! We got really rich from it! And when we got bored with the shop we'd go out on adventures and pull pranks on people! And we could eat all the candy we anted because it was all ours!" Twi told him.
"You DO?!" Twi exclaimed with happiness etched on his beaming face. "Let's go get it then! Of course I would love to come with you! Do we have to? Candy's good for breakfast, not that I've ever had it for breakfast before." Twi replied shaking his head in sorrow. "Will Gir let Twi have candy for breakfast?"
