There was a soft smile on Siri's face, maybe he was a kindred spirit of the night. It took a little bit of effort to get the proper amount of air in her lungs so she could speak, but she liked the talk. It distracted her from their bizarre circumstances at the moment.

"If the moon is up then so am I," it was the simple for her. She had always been awake at night and slept during the day. She never questioned it, it was simply her nature. "I love to star-gaze, too. I love to dance among them when I'm alone." She was embarrassed as she admitted it, but Carlisle had already caught in her in the act, she was sure of it, there was no point to denying it.

The sweet scents of flowers started to fill the night air, and she looked up a little, "We're almost there."

Smiling and glancing back at her, he had looked up to where she seemed to be looking smelling the flowers. "I prefer the night, but I don't sleep much at all, so I usually rest wherever I get tired and move on when I wake up." He rarely slept for more than a few hours at a time but he didn't seem any the worse for wear from it. "Dancing among the stars is nice, though flying at night can be dangerous." He felt the last was unnecessary in the light of her accident.

He carried on the path, following the scent of flowers now that he had it. It was a lovely smell drifting on the night wind. Wondering if he could find a good split as they walked along, intending to see that she was properly treated before he went on his way.

Siri bristled, and she did her best to hide a pout. She felt like Carlisle was chastising her. She flew at night many times and this was the first time she had ever been injured, but arguing that point would be trumped by the simple fact that she had, in fact, been injured by flying at night. She decided to avoid the subject. "Do you travel a lot?" He made it sound as if he didn't sleep in the same place twice.

Around a bend of tall thick trees they came upon a cliff side, and the sweet smell of flowers grew stronger. Even in the dark of night the wall of the cliff seemed to glow with the white blossoms of moon flowers. Hundreds of heart shaped leaves climbed up thick vines along the wall, sweet smelling blooms carpeting over them. They weren't the only flowers to be seen though. Night phlox bloomed among the tall grass, smelling sweet as candy. Cacti plants grew tall and wide, sweet smelling cereus flowers in full bloom. It was a well tended garden and it cleverly hid the mare's simple home.

Carlisle stopped and looked up at the garden cliff face, it was lovely, almost a paradise but it also served as a good defence, you couldn't see any paths thanks to all the greenery, and so you had to know where you were going, or be brave or foolish to get up there. Though wings would be a big help too, but he couldn't fly well with her on his back, he wasn't even sure if he could fly at all.

Snapping from his distracted thoughts, he remembered she had asked him a question. "Sorry.... Yes I do, its rare that I stay more than a night or two in the same area, I find that some don't like me around. I think they have ideas I will eat their foals or suck the life out of them." He gave a small shrug, he couldn't blame others for what they thought, as a rule fangs did mean bad things, but he had never given into anything that would mark him as any kind of monster, he just had fangs, much like some were born with spots.

Siri flinched, she had thought similarly at first glance, but now she was sure it wasn't true. "It must be sad... not having a place to call your own..." She tried to keep from thinking about it, Carlisle probably didn't want her pity, either.

"Between those two plants," She motioned to the two largest of the flowering cacti plants against the cliff side. "T-the vines are hiding an opening there. If you go through there you'll be able to get to my home."

Carlisle nodded and started walking again, making his way as she had directed. He hadn't seen her flinch but he had felt the slight movement. "It can be sad, but I don't want to inflict myself on others, besides others thoughts and beliefs don't stop me from following my own, I do what I can when I can." Besides what others thought of him didn't stop him helping them, and often they changed their minds after spending time with him, he just had to get them to have a conversation with him.

Making his way through the vines he glanced back at her. "Don't feel bad, a lady alone should be cautious when approached by a stranger, not all of them are gentlemen, or to be trusted."

Past the vines was a cave, or more accurately, a tunnel that went deep into the cliff side. Siri sighed softly, "It speaks greatly of your kindness that you would defend my actions when they spoke against you. You do have a point, but I know myself... if you had been fangless I would have been far less afraid, your morale character unquestioned. This has been an eye opening experience for me. You are right, though... I should be more wary of strangers at night despite their appearance. Speaking to you, I feel that I can trust you." Her voice echoed within the close confines of the tunnel walls.

Just a ways in was the way out into a small, grassy clearing. The cliffs surrounded it on all sides like a bowl, the tunnel seemingly the only way in or out short of escaping through the sky. Moon flowers lined the inside wall as well, though inside the only flowers were wildflowers that would crop up of their own accord.

"T-this is my home..." she said softly, a bit self-consciously, as if afraid that Carlisle would judge it poorly. Maybe that was a part of it, she had never brought anyone to her home before, not even others from the make-shift herd she would spend some of her time with.

Shaking his head and chucking softly. "Don't berate yourself so much, fangs have a good reason to be feared, they usually come attached to not so nice people. But there are always exceptions, to both the fanged and the fangless, so be careful when meeting strangers." Making his way through the tunnel, glancing at the flowers on the walls, emerging into the grassy clearing and looking around. "This is lovely." Smiling over his shoulder at her but looking for a good place to set her down.

Moving a little more into the clearing, looking up at the high cliff walls. "So where should I set you down?" Looking round again, this time looking for possible items he could use as a splint for her wing and legs, he would make sure she was treated before he left, and then he would have to drop by a few times to check on her, especially if she was alone here, she might find it hard to get around for a few days.
