Behind the vault door laid a a corpse sitting in front of a TV with a pistol in his hand.The TV had been playing a recording of the man for god knows how long.The recording mentioned the password to dial into the control pad near the vault door.This was an ingenious device,ensuring that his hide out would only be found by someone with the intelligence to comprehend the looped message.His corpse would remain an undevoured bag of flesh until a survivor came to burry him.The recording provided not only this,but a description of a tunnel that led far out of the city.The recording mentioned that he would've tried to escape but was too frightened to travel the long dark road.He had sat there, Exhausting his resources until he was starving.Then,with a bullet to the head he took his life.There lay in front of him,a manhole with no ladder.One would have to jump down with no way of getting back up if they wished to travel the tunnel.
((OOC:Sorry,Nomad.I can't let you provide us with a quick way out.Just trying to make sure that you get stuck in the same boat as the rest of us for the sake of the story.))

{{Are you saying that nomad is dead?}} ((No,I'm saying that this "hideout" that nomad found is not the hideout the others are in.Instead,it is another entrance to the long dark tunnel we are about to travel.It's a one-way entrance though.So you can choose to jump down or to stay topside.All that means is that the group is destined to travel the deep dark tunnel that has no other exits.New characters may jump down a hole with no way to get back up,but no leading us back out the way you came in.See?))

Jack "Positive.What? You think someone drove their car into a lightpole with these vacant streets? Good news,Though.He probably doesn't know we have another way out.",Jack replied somberly.With the sudden burst of light from the lanterns,He lifted himself to his feet with a grunt.He brushed off his pants off slowly,walking over to Zera.His mood changed as he leaned forward to whisper into her ear."How's the burns,hun?",He questioned with an air of guilt,almost afraid to touch her without an answer,despite the weeks time she had to heal.

The Lurker The Lurker moved silently through the land above the sewers, expelling black smoke as he walked. He had his mission, and he knew what to do, the only problem was finding the people. He came upon a man near a steel door, and hid before the man saw him. He covered the area with the smoke, then walked near the man. "Greetings traveller, please remain calm, I mean no harm," the once-man said in a voice as sweet as honey. ((OOC: For the purpose of space management, I didn't include the picture in the post. If you want to see what the Lurker looks like, see the profile. I drew it myself.))

Zera clicked off her flashlight and slowly put her pistol and flashlight away when Ghislain turned on a few lanterns. Of course I should have known it would be Zane..., she thought to herself but was then pulled out of her thoughts when Jack walked over to her and asked about her burns. "They are healing well, but they are still a little sore. I'll be good as new soon." she said to Jack with a grin feeling so much better now that she will be able to fight again.

Jack Jack smiled with relief beaming off his face.He patted her back gently."Just don't overdo it,Zera.",He chuckled in response.He knew that look.She was happy to be back in the saddle,no doubt craving a little time with machetes."We won't last long down here in the dark..I think it's about time we use that escape hatch Ghislain had been mumbling about",He suggested.

Zera smiled while thinking about the damage she could do with her machetes again then nodded at Jack's comment about getting out of there then walked of to Ghislain and asked, "Where does the hatch lead to?"

Nomad Nomad turned around right before he opened the hatch door and lowered his gun nothing this thing wouldn't hurt him. "What's your purpose for being here?" Asked Nomad.

 Ghislain AdalrichGhislain perked up when he realized he was being spoken to, then paused, thinking about what they had asked. "Hatch... Hatch hatch hatch... Oh yea, now you see genius of Ghislain escape so we no followed from behind. Oh wait, you asked where it goes? Long ways out of town, I have transporatation set up, oh yes, a modified big rig and bus, we be safe until we get to where ever we need to go!"Ghislain moved so crates revealing 5 pressure plates, then stepped on each one in a specific order. "Ladies and gentlemen, zombies included, our chariots await!"

The Lurker "Purpose. Something one such as yourself hasn't had in quite awhile. I have come to give you, and another group of humans purpose, as well as retribution, safety, and life. Come with me, help me find the other group, and maybe we can stop a deadly threat to all of us. Now tell me human, what is your name, and can I have your word that if I lower the smog, you will remain peaceful, and that I may have your trust?"The Lurker began to lower his smog, staying in a dark corner waiting for this man's reply.

NomadNomad looked the creature's direction and said" I don't really need any errands to run right now so go on looking for someone else." Then Nomad turned and kept walking down the path.

The Lurker "I didn't say I was giving you errands, Nomad, I said I need your help. Yes, I know your name, I've been watching you for some time, and if you don't assist me,then I'll have that much harder of a time stopping the threat. I leave the decision to you, if you decide to join me, just follow me down the hole."Not waiting for the man to answer, the creature turned and jumped down the hole, landing quietly at the bottom, and walking away briskly. If this was a dead end, it would be a simple feat to climb back up to the top.

Zera pulled out her pistol and flashlight and held them together as she didn't before and looked down the hole into the tunnel to make sure it was safe, but there was no telling what was down there. Zera grabbed her bag that had little supplies left and looked back at the rest, her eyes resting on Jack a little longer than the rest then jumped into the hole and into the darkness.

As Nomad and The Lurker jumped down the tunnel,The vault door closed.It had no way of release aside from the keypad on the outside.It was this same evil device that had tortured the corpse lying in front of the tv.They had no way of escaping,save for the long pitch black tunnel.The corridor they fell into was not a dead end,but a maintenance branch of the tunnel.It held a supply closet with a few flashlights.Aside from that,the only direction to go was the other end of the corridor and out the door to the tunnel.
