The lioness smiled happily. It had been a while since she had been able to relax so much and be so carefree. Almost like she was a cub again. Zarya laughed at the thought. "Oh well?" She gasped playing along, "I guess that's fine." Her silver eyes lit up with amusement, "Perhaps she wasn't that good at leaving an impression on handsome strangers?" To give a compliment to a male made her face warm. It was true though that he was pretty handsome, but she rarely spoke with males and was suddenly remembering that she wasn't a cub anymore.
She jumped in response to his falling and reacted without really thinking. "You okay?" Her damp mane hung over her left eye, hiding it, while her visible eye blinked at him. "It's best if you just let the water do the work sometimes." She smiled, "Else you end up fighting it."

Takoda grinned. He was glad she was playing along, it showed him that she had a good, light sense of humor, and she could tell when he was joking. "I think she has, no doubt about that." He replied, giving a funny nod and a grin at the same time. Takoda had met a lot of rogues, but never one as intriguing as Zarya. He wondered where she was headed, nearly everyone he met out here was on a journey somewhere. He, on the other hand, had made himself a comfortable home that he never strayed too far from. He hoped that their paths might cross again, for the white and teal lion would very much like to stay in contact with the blue lioness.
He spluttered as water found it's way down his throat as he attempted to right himself. He didn't care he'd made a fool of himself, he'd done it at least a couple of times meeting Zarya, and they had only been talking for the day! "Yes, fine." He said with a bit of exhaustion. All the swimming was taking a toll on him, having never done it before in his life.
"Wow I'm tired." He said with a breathy laugh and made his way out of the water to a nearby rock, shaking himself dry on the way, to watch Zarya in the water and to rest. His paws were tired!

"Oh?" Zarya shook her head, "I wonder about that." The lioness grinned back at him before letting out a soft laugh. Oh this was actually fun! She allowed her body to stretch out in the water and she watched him while she floated. He seemed to be okay and she smiled in relief at his reply, "That's good. You almost made me worried that time."
She watched as he made his way out of the water and onto the nearby rock, "Maybe you need to rest then?" She commented as she kicked her way towards the shore. But she opted to stay in the water and -after copying a leopon that she had met earlier on her journey locked a back paw around a rock, so that she wouldn't float away- allowed her body to go limp and just float in the water. She was quiet a moment but suddenly spoke back up again, "Are you from around here or just traveling through like I am?"

Takoda felt that the silent pause between them was not awkward like so many other's he'd had before, where one had run out of things to say or ask and the other couldn't think of anything as well so they would just stand there, looking away and wondering where to go. This pause felt nice, he decided. There was no awkwardness about it. At least not for him.
"I'm from no where really." He said, looking up to the sky. "I have a small den that I use for shelter not far off, but I move around." Takoda had never seen a reason to stay within a pride. He liked being free to roam and see different things and meet others from outside a pride. He paused after he spoke. Was Zarya from a pride, but that wouldn't make sense if she was travelling? He made a mental note to ask it's location if it was. There was something about the blue lioness that made him want to see more.
"Where are you heading?" He asked, curious to know where she was going, but sad that their encounter would be over.

Zarya closed her eyes as she floated in the water. She wasn't worried around him. Even though it was true that he was a stranger the lioness felt fine about letting down her guard. She didn't even worry about closing her eyes against the bright sky. It was nice.
"Hmm. So a wanderer then? Is that what you are?" She commented with a small smile, "I guess I could be considered the same. I had a home once right next to the ocean, but both my sister and I grew up so our mother told us it was time to go and find our paths. So I started traveling." Zarya opened her eyes and looked at him. Really should she talk so much? It wasn't like he had asked for her life story. "At the moment I'm heading where the water takes me. A lioness recently helped me by pointing out a pride dedicated to the gods. It sounded like a nice place and I want to go see it for myself." She sighed softly to herself and added in a whisper, "It would be nice to find a home again."

"I guess you could say that." He smiled, glad that they were talking about something, even though it didn't feel awkward when they weren't, but the large lion was enjoying getting to know more about the blue lioness who looked like water.
"I do not remember much of my parents," he commented offhandedly. "They passed when I was young, and I've been on my own ever since." He wasn't sad telling the story, it was just a fact of life. He didn't mind, things happen that you can't control, and to Takoda, this was one of them.
"A pride dedicated to the gods?" He asked, he hadn't heard of something like that before. In fact, Takoda didn't really give much thought to the gods in his day to day life. But when she mentioned it he thought perhaps he should be more thankful, after all, things had gone pretty well in his life so far. As for a pride to make his home, the thought had crossed the lions mind before, however, he'd never clicked with the right place.
(( Pssst, she does know his name, I'm pretty sure they both did introductions at the beginning of the RP. XD; ))

((Oh! Oh jeesh, I'm silly. I apologize. XD' I edited the last post. I'm also sorry for letting this rp go for so long without a tag.))
"Ah." Zayra sighed softly, "I'm sorry to hear that. My mother was my anchor while growing up...I don't know what I would have done without her or my sister." The lioness paused before giving him an apologetic smile. It might not be the best idea to ramble about her family to him. Then again...well as it was she was glad to have the pride to speak about. A good distraction.
"Yes." She closed her eyes again with a small smile, "My mother raised both my sister and I to be dedicated to the gods of water and I hope to somehow show my appreciation to them there." A new thought hit her. Was there a shrine there dedicated to water? Oh! What if there wasn't? Hmm...well she would just have to find out and decide then.

"Oh well," he said. "I try not to think about it too much, can't do anything about it now." He smiled at the lioness again. He couldn't help it. Something about her made him grin.
"That sounds interesting." he commented on her plan for her new pride. He wasn't sure how she could show her appreciation for the gods, especially if they were scarce and were rarely seen.
"How much farther away is it?" He asked, wondering if she had far to travel.

She gave him a nod. What he said was true. Though her heart went out to him. It almost made her want to drag him back across the rogue lands and towards the sea so he could meet her family. But the thought was squished back with a quiet laugh. It would be a weird meeting, but also impossible. Her sister was already off on her own journey after all.
"Ah. Yes." She gave him a bright smile, "I can't wait to get there." Tilting her head the lioness looked towards her destinated direction, "Surely not to much further. I would guess a couple of days away at least" She paused sheepishly, "Though if I keep getting distracted like this then it might be much longer."
Sadly she looked at him before brightening up a bit, hopeful. "I do need to leave now, but if you wanted to visit a pride...well it's an idea." She laughed softly. What was it that she wanted to spend more time with this male? His company was so pleasant and her heart skipped a beat at the thought of traveling with him.

"That's not far at all." He commented. So it was close then, perhaps he could see more of her then, if he staying in this general area. Takoda laughed inwardly, he hadn't had feelings like this before. They were very strange.
"Oh no, I completely understand!" He nodded, it was where she was headed, and he almost felt bad for holding her up from reaching her destination, though by holding her up he did get to meet a nice lioness, so he didn't feel completely guilty.
"Maybe I'll do that," he said with a smile. While the idea of prides weren't at the forefront of his mind, Zarya was. Besides, if she was there, perhaps the pride couldn't be so bad after all?
It was definitely something for the tea and white lion to think about.
