The wildcat stopped, standing up two legs, and he motioned for Marceline to do the same. A blank look fell upon his face, "repeat after me. I-vow-to protect and serve the denizens of Hallowmarl-with all my might." Leandar listened patiently, following his own recitation of the creed, but he was eager to hear Marceline's for that would signify another member successfully making their way into the court.

Marceline stopped after Leandar and listened to his words. She thought about them for a moment before beginning. A vow, after all, wasn't something to be made without the truest of intentions. Would she be able to honor this?
Yes. Yes, most definitely. She wanted to be a warrior, and this was the best way to ensure that her cause would always be just. Taking a deep breath, she began. "I vow to protect and serve the denizens of Hallowmarl-with all my might." She'd pledged her body and her weapons. This place was her home- it was challenging, magical, and ultimately, tough. It suited her perfectly.

Leandar continued walking following her rendition of the vow, it was moving and heart-warming, solely because of how she said it. The words are but a hollow shell, it is up to the speaker to fill them with meaning. Leandar was pulled back to reality and away from his thoughts, "Ahh the forges," he said warmly. This far down in the tunnels, the light was provided by fungus. It gave the room an eerie glow. There were craftsmen all around, creating glassworks of the most supreme quality. Taking a place at a nearby table, Leandar began to work, practicing some techniques he had come upon. "Marceline, you should explore more, see you around!"
