The reaction on his favorite mindflayer's face got him giddy. The angry eyes also made him consider locking his door and window tightly. She might send her pet Cuthulu after him. If it didn't just come one on a whim on its own. It had gotten a taste of faerie brain and...yeah. His poor Haunting Memories never quite stood a chance. Still, he trusted Riley. She wouldn't hurt him, maybe get mad and stop letting him come over but not hurt. Not over the correct portrayal of her relationship with doctor of all things. Or her possible attraction to the teacher. He didn't blame her. Cadmus was handsome.
But he liked plants. Maybe they liked him back. Israfel didn't know, he didn't speak plant.
Sotill he would like to think Riley and Malodore were better suited. Plus Mal was really smart like Riley. Together they were super geniuses. So when Riley asked if she was smiling Israfel was shocked. "DUH! You have the doctor with you! Why wouldn't you be happy?" He was trying to keep a hushed tone, but the glancing at Malodore combined with a evil smirk of mischievousness reeked of....something most definitely Israfel.

Jack help her, she was late again! Tsetsiliya had just managed to make it to the door when Professor Cadmus had done his opening announcement to the class. She blushed deeply and ducked her head in apology when he had finished before sliding into one of the front corner seats. Her book, tucked under her arm, was set immediately on her table and opened. A piece of loose leaf was tucked in the pages, and she pulled that out and flattened it on her desk, appraising it momentarily. She was not much of an artist, but she didn't think it was bad.

Well, not that bad, anyway.
.. But that's right, Professor Cadmus had told them to look into their books for the discussion! She flipped to the back of the book. Medicinal properties! Tsetsiliya was very interested in what these plants were capable of.

Riley didn't turn around when Israfel responded, in hopes it would quell his excitement. She also didn't want to get in trouble for speaking in class. However, that wouldn't stop her from actually answering him - and she didn't feel it was necessary to hide her thoughts from Malodore, either. They both would hear her quiet reply.
I didn't say I wouldn't be happy, I just think it's funny you drew me with a mouth. She chuckled softly. Now open up your books and look busy, before the Professor chastises you for ignoring your classroom responsibilities.
Finally, she took the time to look at Astra, her eyes lifting in a friendly expression, and nodded a greeting. Lovely to see you again, Astra.

Ithilethiel was pleased with herself as well. She wasn't really late for once. At least... she didn't think she was late. She looked around the room at the other students and realized she was actually late again. She quickly took a seat, trying not to be noticed.

Professor Cadmus startled the ghoul with the guilty conscience, sitting up sharply despite not even having slouched much to begin with. He was totally going to catch her. She was going to be in so. much. trouble. Never again. Neeeeever again. Junko was going to find a solution to controlling Her enough to do work if it killed her, Jackdamnit! What could she do, what could she do? She flipped through the pages as nonchalantly as she could while trying to be quick about it, a piece of paper and all her drawing supplies hidden by it. She didn't want to get caught. Plant, plant. She needed a plant.
Ooooh Devil's Herb looked promising!
In Junko's panic she didn't notice anyone around her, really. Though she did look tense, and...panicky...because she is the master of subtlety.

Cadmus beamed his class today would be fun. Least he hoped it would be.
"Okay class, Today were going to play a game covering the medicinal properties of plants. I will split the class up into four groups and amongst yourselves you will have to come up with the answer."
He rubbed his hands together as he counted up his students.
"There are 21 plants that can be used for healing properties 13 open, 4 with permission needed or selective permission, and 4 that are professor access Only." Now each group will get a set of questions, some will be duplicates because there is and odd number of plants."

Assignment: Okay I don't care how you do it but I'll give each group a worksheet to work on. The Goal is to work together to get it all figured out, you wanna split it up go for it, you wanna make group discussion cause one person knows like all the answer fine, but each member must contribute one answer. You can do group discussion in class, over pm's of messengers so long as you show a log of the discussion, heck even in thread is fine if you'd like. Be creative do it however you like. If you discuss in thread I only ask that you label the posts with you group number and color. Each group will choose a leader and that leader is responsible for turning in the final paper finished of unfinished. Feel free to ask questions about the assignment if you don't understand something. I will post each groups questions in the following post. This is just the information post to see if there is any questions. If you are not in any groups let me know because that means I missed you on the attendance sheet. DISCLAIMER: I didn't not put charterers together specifically, everyone got a number in regards to where they decided to be put on the list.

Malodore.... had been completely right about Israfel's homework. So completely right that it wondered if it might be picking up something from Riley - was prognostication (or, possibly, subliminal suggestion) a mental power ithilids possessed?
"My mouth is part of my beak," it told Israfel mildly. "You should strive for anatomical correctness, at least." It was amused, however, definitely amused... and it knew the enigmatic response would drive the siren absolutely bonkers.
Which was, as far as the plague doctor was concerned, a good thing... or, at least, an amusing thing.
When the groups were announced, Malodore winced visibly at the inclusion of Riley and Calder in the same group. It hadn't spoken to Riley regarding Literature class - it seemed the whole issue was one best left unmentioned - but it had noticed the enmity, and...
... this was going to be interesting.
"Buona fortuna," it murmured in Riley's direction before standing up. It wasn't entirely sure who Tsetsiliya and Myr were, but Aksaja it knew, and the plague doctor headed for the lightning dragon's desk.
"Buon giorno," it said, nodding to Aksaja in greeting. "It seems we are assigned to work together. Are you familiar with the rest of our group-mates at all?"

Mouth forming to create a silent 'Oh' face, Israfel looked down at his homework. Would Professor Cadmus mark him down for it? He hoped not! Israfel felt he'd worked hard on it. quickly pulling out his pens, the siren got to work correcting his mistakes. "This better?" He offered Maladore a glimpse before the voice of the teach got Israfel's attention. Maladore's assumption also was correct, Israfel was now more curious then ever at the relationship Riley shared with the Plague Doctor. Was it intense? Was it just simple twittering? A flight of fancy? Why were they so complex? It did drive him as Malordore would have put it, absolutely bonkers. Fidgeting in his seat, wanting to ask them more questions, he would have to put his plans on hold. "Uh...." his group... He wasn't sure he knew any of them very well, maybe just in passing. Wasn't one a friend of Riley's? If so, then the Siren surely couldn't go wrong.

Good, good. Professor Cadmus didn't seem to notice Junko scrambling to do her homework. This was good! She could do this. Was...she seriously going to get away with this?! She was being bad! She was being a horrible student! Sure, she had a very good reason for doing this but she still knew this was a bad thing to do. Devil's Herb...what to do with that. Well, it was an herb, right? So it looked like one. Junko drew that first, but then she paused. It was a Devil's herb. It needed to be...devilish. Thorns? Yes! Thorns. That would do. Oh, and the smoke did stuff...so...okay! She'd just set it on fire! Heh. This was fun. Before long she finished, though admittedly she could have done so much better if she hadn't rushed. Oh well. It was done. It wasn't until she finished writing her name that she realized they were being grouped up. Oh! Who was in her group? Ithilethiel? Who was that? Oh! Ohohoh! Sin! Yay! Sin was in her group! Junko gasped with delight and looked around, picking up her things and moving to sit by Sin. "Hi, Sin!" She chirped, looking around for LW and Ithilethiel. "How lucky we're in the same group. Glad I'm with someone I know." And like!

Curled up in her chair now and glaring at her homework, LW decided that next time, she was going to go sit with Ren and work on it. Instead of by herself. Not only was that boring, but it didn't matter if she tried to turn something nice in or not. Her homework was just bound to have either writing or something wrong with it. Like smeared paint.
When Professor Cadmus spoke up, LW looked up from her glaring to listen to what he was saying. They were to work in groups? This should be fun then! The she-wolf listened to who all was in her group and didn't recognize the names at first. At least not personally. She knew the names just from being in classes together.
Moving with a low groan after giving her homework one final glare, LW moved towards Junko and Sin. Her tail swayed slightly as she moved until she was standing near the other two. "Hi. I'm LW and...guess I am in your group!" The she-wolf smiled and sat in a seat next to them. Now who was the last person in their group?

Sin perked up to see that she was in a group with Junko, she didn't know the other two students but she planned to get to know them considering the assignment. She flashed Junko a smile and patted the desk as her friend moved to sit near her.
"Glad we're in the same group, I have to be honest plants kind of...bore me." She half laughed but kept her tone low, she didn't need the professor to hear her opinion. She could see the usefulness of plants, herbs, flowers, but reading about them seemed to have a special way of putting her to sleep.
"I wonder how hard this worksheet is gonna be?" She mused and then glanced around trying to identify who LW and Ithnilethiel.

"Its great to see you too Riley" Astra waved at the mindflayer, meanwhile watching Israfel and his antics, being quite curious over the Sirens fascination with Riley. She had seen some of his antics on Groanspring, and had a very brief talk about how one should not kill faeries no matter how annoying they are).
Her attention w as then divered to the professor, who then mentioned they were going to play a game...A game! Games were fun, what kind of game did he want to play? She listed intently to the instructions, then looked at whom she would be paired up with...ah! The siren! Even though she did not know these people well (and she couldn't even see Christof). it did not worry her. Her knowledge of plants was well versed, and she was confident she would be able to figure out the medical properties even if they couldn't
"It looks like we're going to be in the same group!" she fluttered over to Israfel, looking brought as she opened her book on the table.

West had zoned out. He probably would have failed to pay attention for the remainder of class if he hadn't heard his name. Worksheets? Groups? With that Calder kid? Given the order in which their names had been called, he didn't know if anyone else was supposed to work with them, so he rose with a sigh and strode over to Calder's desk.
"Thissit?" he asked, gesturing between them. "Whaddawe hafta do?" If this kid had any problems with him after music class, well, he was just going to have to suck it up.

With the announcement of groups and questions to answer, Tsetsiliya's ears perked up. Surely this would move class along, and she was certainly eager to discuss plants but she didn't want to appear too eager. How this was going to be a game, well, she didn't quite understand that, but all would surely be revealed as the class progressed, certainly.
Following the announcement, the class began to divide up, so the poludnica followed suit. Tucking the book under her arm, she scanned the classroom for her teammates. A few of the names in her group sounded vaguely familiar, and upon setting her eyes on the lightning dragon, she immediately remembered the names. Two of her teammates were from the spin the bottle game, the dragon included. The tall plague doctor was not the other whose name sounded familiar, as she would have remembered a form like that.
Oh Jack, was the plague doctor ever tall. The thought of so many new faces at once came at her suddenly, and her nerves started to p***k at her skin. Tsetsiliya swallowed, quietly shaking her head. This was a class, and getting anxious was foolish. As though to convince herself before her mind had a chance to make itself up, she moved in quick steps across the classroom to join them. For a moment she stood there like a dazed animal, before her introduction came tumbling out of her mouth.
"H-Hello," she said quietly, sitting perhaps a bit too quickly in one of the desks nearby. The book nearly tumbled from her hands but a quick catch saved it from a fall to the ground. "I-I am Tsetsiliya." She was trying to assure herself that there was no need to be nervous - after all, this was only a class. With a few practiced repeats of this phrase, she managed to quiet her jittery nerves. She only hoped that something on her didn't shift in her anxious state, but then again her entire face was feeling a little tingly.
