Delphine giggled as Reid touched her fin, his tiny light touch tickled! "Itty!" She laughed. "Weid!"

"And Gaia is a pretty diverse place in itself." Kay said to Chao with a grin. At Reid's question she looked over at Delphine. Well she hadn't tried to eat Reid so far and the pair did seem to be getting on quite well. "Sure Reid, I think she'd like that. And I'd love to hear another performance."

As Avery handed the pretty paper fish over to Delphine her eyes widened. "Mine?" she asked shyly as she carefully cradled the fish in her hands. She held it up to inspect it closer. It was a pretty fishy! And Avery had made it... just for her?

Kay fiddled with the straps on the stroller and got Delphine unbuckled.

"Mine!" the fishkitty Mishap said holding her gift from Avery out to show her Mama.

"That's very pretty Avery!" she said slightly shocked at how adept the boy was at origami, obviously Mishaps weren't the only children around with special abilities. "Did you say thankyou?" she said a bit sternly turning back to Delphine.

Delphine looked slightly confused for a moment, then turned to Avery, "Fank-oo.." she copied her Mama's words, "...Avey." she finished patting Avery on the head, in an attempt to copy Reid's earlier hair-ruffling action.

Kay grinned and carefully pulled Delphine from the stroller, her tiny hand still clutching her fish. "That's a good girl." she said absentmindely walking over to the piano and setting Delphine down. She looked back to see if Reid was comming, and noticed Avery looking at the door. Was there someone there?

"It is, isn't it? Though, have you ever encountered some of those people who don't seem to know that children appear out of midair or that magic exists and then yell at you when you try and convince them that, no, your child isn't dressed up for an early halloween but honestly has wings?" she shook her head, standing, "it's really disconcerting."

Reid grinned happily and glowed brightly, the glow only slightly muted by the shirt he was wearing. "Great!" the firefly Mishap cheered, happy to share the music with new people who liked the sounds. He hopped into the air and hovered for a moment while Kay got Delphi out of her stroller then flew along with Kay as the woman walked towards the piano.

When his brother didn't move he paused in midair, looking back.

Avery grinned and clapped his hands, "than' kyu' 'n welcom'!" he replied, giggling as Delphi pat his hair, looking back to the duo for a moment before Haze and Retta came in at which point his attention returned to the door.

Reid grinned at the familar faces, "Lil' Ta!" he called enthusiasticly, waving a hand in greeting and flying over to greet the Mishap.

"Kalderetta~! Haze!" ah the joys of new names and people to go with them. Avery grinned and waved.

Chao perked and smiled, nodding and waving to the other guardian to let her know she'd remembered her name correctly, hallo there Haze, Retta."

Haze inwardly twitched as he heard Retta's complete first name mentioned. She disliked hearing it since the Mishap is still a toddler, certain customs of the Wyndre family had been put to effect. But she wasn't about to explain herself and her reasons, there was no need. After all, these people weren't from Silar and thus held no importance in the subject matter.

"Yes, hello Kay, Delphine. Retta, greet them properly." the Silarian woman instructed.

Retta waved shyly as Reid approached, despite the muted glow of his tummy the sheep Mishap still found it fascinating. She held the hem of her skirt with her hands and gave a fairly wobbly curstey.

"Greetings miss Kay and Delphine." she said in a very natural tone, as if this was the most normal thing in the world. "Hello Reid." she added with a smile.

"What brings you all here in the ballroom?" Haze asked casually, strolling into the room with a certain grace. "We thought we heard music and decided to see who was playing."

Kay awwed over Retta, earning another dirty look from Delphi. "She's so polite!" she gushed to Haze.

Delphi forgot about glaring at her mother and the newcomer who was getting all the attention as Avery caught up. "Avey!" she waved, - this kid wasn't half bad, showering her with gifts and attention. If only everyone behaved properly like he did... with this thought she turned to look at her mother again who was still in raptures over Retta's cuteness.
"Ishie!" she exclaimed and held up her fishy for everyone to see, hey it was much more interesting.

"Careful Delphi, you don't want to loose the nice present Avery made you." Kay said picking up the little fish-kitty, seeing she was attention seeking again. "Can you say hello to Haze and ...uh Retta?"

"Wo" she greeted begrudingly, holding onto her mother and the fishy tightly.

"Delphine!" Avery grinned and waved back to the fishy girl, "Delphi n'Ishie~" he singsoned, gaining an amused smile from his mother before she looked back to Haze.

"Mmmhmm, it is, he's getting to be quite good," Chao threw her son a proud smile.

Reid flushed slightly, scracthing at his hair, "Reid not so big," he replied with a slightly sad nod, voice dropping a bit, almost into bitterness. He still hadn't figured out how to control his growth-space- so that he got bigger....

Pushing the troublesome thoughts aside he grinned again at Retta, "Lil'Ta want to come and play music with Delphi and I?"

As Retta's ear's flicked towards him Avery waved again with a smile.

"Oh it's a fish, how quaint." Haze smiled, though personally she couldn't fathom why anyone would bother folding paper into shapes if there wasn't something to profit from. "And is young Avery similar to the other children?" she asked both women.

"Play music?" Retta blinked, "How play music?" she had only listened to music before, never really being that fascinated in producing sounds of her own. She noticed Delphine approach her and she waved to the fish Mishap. "Delphi know how play music?" she asked.

"I'm certain it is." Haze nodded, still smiling. The Silarian woman felt that perhaps it was time to introduce Retta to some form of craft. Not only was it an excellent conversation piece, but it was a skill the Mishap could utilize to her benefit in the future.

"Reid will show us how play music?" Retta asked softly, her brown eyes sparkling in curiosity at the glowing Mishap. Her tail swished to and fro behind her, mindful of her teacup lest it hit something and break.

Kay hurried over to pick Delphine up again and sat her down close to the now tiny piano. She smiled to herself watching Reid get ready for his 'concert' the tiny sized piano and the even tinier Reid seemed really cute to her, although she wasn't about to say so, figuring Reid being a boy wouldn't appreciate being called cute very much.

Delphine shook her head and fluffed her fins as she was set down, slightly disorientated by being whisked across the room so quickly. As she noticed Reid sitting at the piano she clapped her hands gleefully. "Weid!!" she had been right Reid was how you made this music thing. She let out a giggle.

"Shh Delphi." Kay hushed, "You have to be quiet so we can all listen to Reid play ok?"

Delphi quickly stifled the giggle and clapped her hands over her mouth. She would be very, very quiet she decided, she didn't want Reid to be mad at her for making noise during his music making.
