" No, not at all... I'm barely omnivorius." He laughed a bit. "It's my species it's a bit of a default that certain foods are unsettling to our stomaches." He sighed a bit, smiling he let the silky shadow suck back into his palm. The bubble of water floated back after it's pursuer, sucking into the catfolk's palm.

Aladon's hand inquisitively pushed on Bax's palm at first to find the dissapearing sahdow and water, soon becoming interested in the lines of his plam, his eyes tracing them.
Flipping the chicken in with a long wooden spoon, and sitrring the vegetables. "I can make you anything if this unsettling, I;m used to interesting diets." She said, nerviously twisting her hair as she opened the refridgerator door looking for something else, "If you don't mind me asking, what is your species? I don't think I've encountered one of yours before, something similar I'm sure, but not quite well...You know." She normally was an artist with her words, maybe it was the stress of motherhood that was causeing this lapse, but it had never happened before.

Bax smiled. "I'm a catfolk, not quite animal, not quite human. We live as long as witches and wizards do and quite an adept when it comes to magic. Typically considered tricksters in the east, but I assure you stereotypes isn't something to go by." He smiled, taking a seat on a stool and leaning back against a wall, getting comfortable.
He extended out his hand, letting Aladon look as much as he wanted to. His life life etched deep into his palm, and made it's way deeply down onto his wrist.

"Thats too bad, I enjoy a little trick every once in a while." Kanilea said in her normally trite tone, then blushed a little realizing she didn't know this man well enough to make those kind of jokes. She turned back to the food to hide her giggle.
Aladon's tiny finger traced the line before finding something on the floor that interested him and began to squirm towards the ground.

Baxterfulous laughed a bit at the comment, shaking his head. "Hmm, I'd have to see if I can appease you." Oh my a flirty comment?
Quickly, he realized that Aladon's attention span needed to be caught once more. Extending out his palm again, a silky black orb manifested itself, floating down towards his range of sight, quickly floating back up.

Kanilea giggled as she shoved the mixture of food onto two plates, covering it with a red sause that even smelled spicy. "It takes a lot to appease me." SHe placed a bowl of mashed up Bannana in front of a high chair, hoping to draw Aladon away from his position climbing up Bax in search of the dark orb.
"Interesting trick, you must be the life of the party."

"Not nessasarily. I don't go to parties." He sighed as he let the orb float towards the high chair, sitting Aladon within it. Quickly the orb made it's descent and popped just before reaching the mushed bananas.

"Oh you have got to do something for fun if your not a socailite are you a hermit?" She dmiled taking a bite, "If so I'll be usre to aviod you to aviod future harms to your delicate pshyce."
Aladon's eves followed the orb and upon seeing the bannanas began to examine them, carefully, not yet ready to eat.
"Thanks." she said, noteing the trick, she might have to use it later knowing Ally.

He laughed a bit, it was not often he took sarcasm lightly. "No, I'm not a hermit... I just don't go to parties. It's not a thing of wether or not I don't get invited, I'm not a people person. I've always felt so... out of place. Even back at home." He sighed, taking his plate and began to dine. Closing his eyes as he chewed visions of masqeraides and dinner parties flashed through his mind... All int he same he was always alone. Opening them, he let his gaze fall on Kanilea. His somber expression melted away into a more content smile. "Well, perhaps in your company I could grow to like parties."

Kanilea pulled out her seat and sat down, her legs crowded against Bax’s in the small table, she smiled hoping to get over the awkwardness of that. “I bet in your company I will begin to like being alone.” Did she just say that, was that flirting? She couldn’t imagine such a confident man ever feeling out of place. Taking another bite, “Well, its not the best thing I’ve ever made, but we wont starve.”
Aladon started to nibble on the fruit but he didn’t seem too keen on eating just yet, he was to interested in watching the strange happenings between his mother and this new comer, he hoped she liked him, he was fun to play with, all that black stuff.
Turning her attention to Aladon, she was going to let him take his time to eat, she didn’t want to force an eating disorder on him.

Hmm, this was a lovely change of pace. "Heh, I suppose we'll have to see how things develop." He smiled, it didn't take long for him to finish his plate. " I think, our clothes are done." He smirked for a moment as the ever present Ding could be heard from down the hall. "I suppose, that means our time has been cut short. Pity. If you want to catch me again... I'm currently living with Catherine, thugh I plan to get my own place soon. " He kept his expression, taking Kani's hand as he stood and kissing it gently. "Au revoir, beau Kanilea." He waved silently as he placed his dishes in the sink, bowing once more before he dipped into the hallway.

Kanilea stood stunned for a second as she looked after Bax, leaving the room, her hand still outstreated in the position he had placed it.
Aladon laughed at his mother, and the dumbfounded look on her face, what was the matter with her, Bax was cool and all but no need to make a face about.
Noticing her son's look, "Oh bequiet and eat what you want of that," she sat down next to him, takinging a bit of her own dinner, things were going to get interesting around the mannor, she was pretty sure of that.
