Meh either way I'd be headed south. I'm not going to go toe to toe with military or para-military I'd rather hang back in the shadows and make my way to a safe zone. I know people love the idea of being able to overthrow the government, but we aren't that grand compared to the military. I mean look at Somalia. We killed thousands and only lost 19. These people were born and raised by the sword in an anarchy shithole. They are a million times more manly than we could ever be and we only lost because we never had the air support. So what makes you think we would be different? This isn't pessimism, this is reality. We lost our ability to revolt when we obtained a military industrial complex. I don't think our military is going to be involved as much as private contractors. A soldier made a good point, why would they do that if they think their family is being harrased in the same way? They follow superiors regardless of orders. They are trained that way. Plus they get more of an incentive if they are convinced the rebels are a danger to their family and even more so if they lost a battle buddy to them. I think it would be interesting to see how many deserted or went against orders when they were told to use deadly force on American citizens radical separatists. That's how. In the US, we really don't mind killing eachother. Gun crimes are just about on an hourly basis here. Well when people can't work and support themselves in an honorable fassion they go bat s**t crazy. And I hope that wasn't a hint towards gun conrtol because it's safe to say towns with a gun law forcing people to have guns happen to be the safest towns... As soon as Australia banned guns their gun crimes sky rocketed... How coincidental. (I wanted to say ironic)

heres a little something to help you all on your "discussion", i found it on the internet, its called The Secret Covenant:

The Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs has approved a cybersecurity bill, Protecting Cyberspace as a National Asset Act (PCNAA), that would give the president far-reaching authority over the Internet in the case of emergency.
As The Hill explains, the bill, sponsored by Sens. Joe Lieberman, Susan Collins, and Tom Carper, would give the president "emergency authority to shut down private sector or government networks in the event of a cyber attack capable of causing massive damage or loss of life." The original bill granted the president the authority to "indefinitely" shut down networks, but an amendment to the PCNAA, approved yesterday, mandates that the president "get Congressional approval after controlling a network for 120 days."
The authority granted to the government in the bill has been likened to an Internet "kill switch."
Collins noted that she takes issue with the "kill switch" term. The Hill writes,
Quote: "It's been frustrating to read some of the misrepresentations of our bill in the cybersphere," Collins said, arguing the new bill actually circumscribes the president's existing authority and puts controls on its use. "I believe the substitute amendment we're offering strengthens those protections even more."
As we wrote here, the bill would also see the creation of a new agency within the Department of Homeland Security, the National Center for Cybersecurity and Communications (NCCC). Any private company reliant on "the Internet, the telephone system, or any other component of the U.S. 'information infrastructure'" would be "subject to command" by the NCCC, and some would be required to engage in "information sharing" with the agency, says CBS4.
The bill will soon head to the Senate for a vote.

It's just unnecessary considering the museum holds their national heritage and has nothing to do with Mubarak. I'm sure the black market antiquities dealers are making a killing off of this.

That's why it's the weapon of choice for soldiers. A knife involves getting close and personal. That can get someone killed, like the attacker.
