The softer music made Mitsu close her eyes, that soft smile growing warm. It seemed to be rather calming to hear because after a little while she looked toward the piano again getting up from her seat next to Shun. It seemed to be a struggle as she approached, like a friend she hadn't seen in such a long long time. Slowly she took a seat on the bench, her fingers pushing up the fall board gently. Looking over the keys for a moment as if overwhelmed by the sight of them Mitsu placed her fingers to a set of ivories but did not play. She didn't know what to play and was afraid to play a tune to correspond with how she felt. So instead she sat in silence listening to Shun play his guitar across the room, the rhythm setting a beat.

Mitsu's fingers twitched against the keys but the music did not come. The soft melody that Shun was playing was in deep contrast to what was on her mind despite how soothing it was. She wanted to play along but was afraid her tune would shift and distort. And suddenly an idea came to mind. A tune she often listened to at night as she fell to sleep. She had looked it up one day so that she could learn the lyrics, the tune itself was easy to memorize with as much as she listened to it.

Taking a deep breath her fingers shifted to a different set of keys as she started to play the tune to 'Mad World.' At first her keystrokes weren't as confident but they seemed to pick up a little as she continued, her lips mouthing the words as she played. It was the song her music box played and it was a comfort to listen to in the silence as she fell to sleep.

When Shun spoke it broke the small trance Mitsu had been in, the music suddenly coming to a stop. Her hands rested on the keys for a moment like she might try to continue but instead she pulled away. "T...thank you." She said softly as she continued to listen to Shun play. Her eyes continued to stare down at the clavier her hands hesitant to touch it again.

As Shun's song began to shift again into something Mitsu had actually heard before she looked toward him. She didn't know the song very well but she knew a few lyrics from it. Smiling again she turned in her seat to watch him play enjoying the tune for the time being.

A little further down the hall a new student had arrived. Today was her first instance inside the building of Nao Academy, at least as a student, though she technically didn't start until tomorrow. Curious about the music that had been playing she had first been drawn by the short tune played by the piano but it had ended randomly. The guitar continued to play so she followed the music to its source, light footsteps bringing her to the door of the music room.

Walking as she normally did, placing her heel first to muffle any noise she turned to see Shun playing the guitar, a rather heart felt tune coming from his instrument. It looked like he was playing for the girl or at least that's what she was guessing. Letting him play for a little longer she finally spoke up. "I didn't know you had it in you, Smiles. That song is rather touching."

Mitsu started to look a little surprised as Shun started off the first few words but cringed as the song ended abruptly in a harsh twang from his guitar. Recovering slightly Mitsu looked up to see Nyx in the doorway of the music room. "O..oh hi. It's been a while." She hadn't seen her for a couple of days since she first appeared at the restaurant.

"Woah there Sparky, no need to get huffy." Nyx grinned seeing that he was now too uncomfortable to play. So it had been something sentimental. How interesting. "You play a rather nice tune thought I'd check it out. My first day of school is tomorrow so I need to get my barrings on where the classes are." She mostly new but it was a good excuse. "So what have you two been up to? Serenading each other?" Nyx mused.

"Don't let me cut your practice short," Nyx teased. "So you play the piano, Powderpuff?"

"Eh?" So she was talking to her? "Y..yeah, I guess." Mitsu said nervously.

"Well, let's hear what ya got," Nyx mused leaning against the door frame.

"I..." Mitsu looked back at the piano a little nervously before turning to Shun with a pleading look to help. She didn't want to be rude but she wasn't really ready to play and playing for others always made her nervous.

Nyx barely raised a brow at the growl Shun had with his words. "Easy there killer." Maybe a little hint she knew what he was? Possibly, but the nickname didn't mean much in this moment. "Why so nervous, Powderpuff?"

"I uh...I haven't played...in a long while." Mitsu shifted nervously in her seat looking up at Nyx. "Not since October."

Nyx shrugged. "Hasn't been that long, besides I heard some piano music a moment ago. It didn't sound half bad to my ears." Nyx couldn't help but grin thinking Mitsu looked rather cute with that nervous expression on.

Hoping to shift the subject Mitsu thought of why Nyx might have been coming this direction anyway. "So, do you play an instrument, Nyx?" There wasn't much else on this side of school only music, choir, and theater.

"Eh, nothing that you would want to hear." Looking back over to Shun as he put his guitar away Nyx smirked. "Does it bother you that much that I walked in on your sentimental moment, Smiles?"

Nyx only grinned before she looked over at Mitsu, "Well, if your not busy now maybe you can show me around?"

"Oh, I can do-" The Mitsu paused as she remembered where she had to go soon. He didn't like if she was late. "I forgot, I've got somewhere I've....got to be." Mitsu said reluctantly.

"Blowing me off huh? Well, no big deal. What about you, Smiles? You're a sweet sentimental guy I'm sure you'd show me around." She grinned her toothy grin, those pointy teeth in the front very visible passed her lips.
