He beamed as he spotted his mate come into view, "Ali....do you remember the first time that we met?" His tail was wagging uncontrollably. He of course remembered everything about that day. He had been stricken at how beautiful, not to mention a little strange, Alamar had been. He was so different from all the other males that had picked on Ritsu his whole life.
"Do you remember that you thought I was a vixen....and you tried to rescue me?"
(he can wait ^_^)

Alamar bushed a bit. How could he forget? “Yes I do remember. I was worried seeing such a frail fox all alone without a tovarish .. guardian, around to protect her.” Alamar edited his speech trying to use words that he knew outworlders like Ritsu used. Sometimes it was a confusing headache for him but he was thankful that Ritsu was patient with him and allowed him to explain such concepts without laughing at him. “I was quite surprised when I found out that you were male.” Alamar smiled and nuzzled Ritsu.

"Mmm..." He nuzzled back, "I was so sure that you would be mad and beat me up like all the other males...I never thought that you would offer to help teach me how to hunt..." He giggled. "I was the one that was surprised." He licked Ali's cheek.
"I'm so lucky that you stumbled upon me that day...I don't know what i would have done if you hadn't." He curled his tail around his mate.

Shrugging Alamar could only shake his head. “That is one thing I can never understand. To bully and beat up the weak is not how I was raised. There would have been no dignity in hurting you simply for appearing so feminine. Truth be told.. I rather like that about you.” Alamar blushed and turned his face from Ritsu.
He could not even imagine what Ritsu’s life had truly been before Alamar had come along. All he knew was the short story of how Ritsu’s parents did not want him and how he was bullied by other males. Alamar felt like his own upbringing was paradise despite it’s claustrophobic atmosphere.

His heart started to beat faster, "Really?" He beamed and leaned over, nuzzling his mate. "I like that your so...I don't know how to explain it..different then me...Masculine...and your sense of honor...It's unlike anything I have ever seen before..." He smiled and licked his cheek. "I find it....endearing..." Ritsu felt himself flush.
"Ali....i was...thinking about something earlier today...." He bit his lower lip, "I...Mm...we can..Never mind..." He shook his head.

Masculine? Really? I’ve never thought of myself as really masculine before. Alamar felt a bit he wasn’t sure it was proud or embarrassed about Ritsu’s comment. He did smile at the honor part though. To Alamar it was a part of the way he was nothing more. “I’m glad you find it endearing. It would be hard to change since it is all I know.”
Alamar leaned into Ritsu very gently. “What were you thinking about Ritsu. It is alright to tell me. You know I will always listen you you.”

"Mm...." He looked at his mate, How could he deny Alamar anything. He was so beautiful, and kind. Ritsu couldn't love him any more if he tried. "Mm.....I.....Kits..." He turned beat red and looked down, covering his face with his paws, "I was thinking about.....kits...." He whispered lowly. He knew for a fact that a male couple could have kits. He wasn't exactly sure how it worked and who'd be the mommy. THough he kinda figured that since he was so feminine that he'd be the mommy.
But, he had been thinking about it for a long time now. Ever since he met Ali kis had somehow become possible now. He had always really wanted them, and now it was possible to have some. But what is Alamar didn't want to have kids. Oh no! They never talked about it! What if Ali ended up leaving him because of his stupid comment.

Alamar’s ear flicked as he looked at Ritsu curious. “Kits? What where you wondering about kits? ” He looked carefully at Ritsu. He had no idea why Ritsu was thinking of kits. He had no idea what could have brought the topic up for other male. He was interested in the topic of course since he wanted to know what Ritsu was thinking of. Did Ritsu want kits? The idea of having kits both terrified and somewhat excited Alamar.
Perhaps I should not ponder on this. After all Ritsu might not even want kits. I know of some couples in Tzara that are both male and female that have kits. He was certain some of those couples had surrogates.. but some of them didn’t. He blinked in thought.

"Mm...." He peeked out from behind his paws, "I....want to be....a mommy...." He whispered meekly, not sure of how his mate was going to take that. He knew that he could tell Ali anything, but it still made him so horribly embarrassed to given bring up the topic. But it was something that he had been trying to bring up for some time now. He wanted babies, more specifically he wanted Alamar's babies.
Babies were a true testament to love, they are living proof of what two mates share together. And Ritsu longed for that connection with his mate, but he didn't know how to express it. Every time he opened his mouth he closed it again and hide his face.

It took Alamar a moment to realize that his mouth was hanging open like a trout. “Y-you want kits?!?” Swallowing hard Alamar tried to keep his calm. Shocked and excited Alamar was having trouble just standing there so he got up and started to pace. Heart pounding in his ears Alamar tried to express how excited this made him. “I know male pairings can have kits but are you certain Ritsu?”
Alamar partly terrified too. Could I even help raise a family? Do I have a right to since I do not even speak to my own enough? I do not know how to raise children. That is something that is often taught to females or more submissive males.. or servants! I have no skills in that area. On top of which which culture would the children be raised with or a mix of both?

"Mm!" Ritsu looked at him mate slightly scared at the state of his mind. He was pacing back and forth in front of him, and it was starting to worry Ritsu a little. Wasn't it usually Ritsu that did the freaking out. So why was Alamar suddenly switching roles with him. "Well I.....yes..." His ears went down. Did this mean that Alamar didn't like the idea?
"Don't you want babies Ali?" He asked innocently, "I'll be a good parent....I promise...I know how to take care of babies..."

Alamar stopped and looked at Ritsu. “You do? And you want kits?” He sat down with an audible thump. “Ritsu I like you.. and I do want kits.. However, I do not know how I would be as a father.” Alamar looked down at the ground. “I was raised with strict rules of guidance and obedience. My own father was always busy with the handling of the house so I rarely spoke with him and truly do not know him. My mother and the servants raised me. I know how to bring in food and protect. I was never taught to raise and nurture. I do not even keep in touch with my own family.”
(oh.. I ordered Ali's half sister... I can't wait for her to find out about Ali and Ritsu..)

"Well.....I can teach you...." He leaned over and nuzzled his mate's neck gently, then licked his cheek with a smile. "I love you Ali...So I know you will make a great father....Your kind...and patient....and gentle...." He whispered and laid his head on his mate's back. "Besides.....Since I'm going to be the mama....I can do most of the nurturing....and you just worry about being the Daddy.....doing what you do best...keeping us safe and loving us....That's all it takes."

Alamar felt his legs almost give away. Was that all a father was really supposed to do for his children? It did not seem like that was enough. It was true his own father had been absent much of the time and very critical whenever Alamar saw him, but that was because his father was a house head and therefore subject to certain standards.. right?
Ritsu’s loving touch helped to calm him down. “Ritsu I could not love you any more than I do. I would love to have kits with you. I know that like you they would be the light of my life. I would do everything in my power to keep you and them safe and happy.”

Ritsu giggled, "See...that's all it takes....love...." He nuzzled his mate's neck, "All you have to do is love the kits and everything else will fall into place." He smiled and licked Alamar's cheek lovingly. "I know that you will be a great father when the time comes."
He snuggled into his mate and wrapped his tail around him, "You worry too much...you should have more confidence in yourself...." He rubbed his head along his back soothingly.
