A den? Kepo had never been invited to a strange female's den before. He wondered if it were full of annoying pups. Hopefully not. He didn't think his mom and aunt would want a whole bunch of strange yappy pups about. Still, it would be worth a look. He smiled at the female. "Sure. Let's go see it."
Maybe they could take a nap. Kepo had never taken a nap with a stranger before, but he was about ready to. He really was horribly tired after his long, unhappy walk through the night. A safe cozy place to sleep would be wonderful.

She smiled and nodded. It wasn't really too much of a den. Just a few rocks that had a bit of space under them. She figured lions had used it long before she found it, but that didn't matter. It was a place she called home for the moment. Even if she'd end up leaving it in a few months. "It's this way" She said as she turned and started walking. A grin crossed her face as she did so. She wondered how long she could keep up this little game. As well as how long he could keep up his little lie.
"I hope you don't mind rocks." She told him. Or walking for that matter. It wasn't a short distance away. Well, they'd be there before mid morning, but the sun would be up and it'd be bright out.

Kepo wasn't about to gush over the greatness of rocks, but he was learning the art of tact. Just a little bit of tact, but tact nonetheless. Instead of scoffing and going on about how much better his own home was, he simply shrugged his shoulders. "Rocks're better than sleeping out here in the dirt," he said. Of course, if he took this female back to his family, she would surely be impressed by their dens! Their dens weren't actually all that fancy, but they were clean and roomy. To Kepo, the home territory was the greatest place in the world.
"So, what is your name?" Kepo asked as they walked, casually. He was confident enough not to really mind that the female hadn't given him her name yet, but he figured if she liked him enough to invite him back home she would surely give him her name eventually. Might as well be now! He would look like a fool bringing a nameless female back home.

Oh yeah, she had forgotten to tell him her name. At the time she had a good reason not to, but now she had forgotten why she hadn't told him yet. He told her his, and even if she thought he was lying, at least she could call him something. She smiled at him with a oops looking face as if she knew she forgot something. Of course, it was part of her plan, she wanted to make him think she forgot to tell him her name. Which, there was a reason behind it, but now it was lost in her head for the moment. "Right! My name..." She paused for a moment, giving little debate with herself if she wanted to give a false one, yet couldn't think of one at the moment. "It's Seriti."
What was the power behind a name, anyways? If she needed to, she could easily call herself something else. But for now, she didn't have the right thinking power to come up with some other name. She could have used her mothers, but chances are it wouldn't work. She would end up saying something like she wasn't her mother or something stupid that'd get her caught in her own lie. It was best to go with something she was use to being called. Which, no one really called her by anything now. Seriti was good enough.
With that, she nodded towards a small cluster of rocks in the distances. It wasn't really big from where they were walking, but when up close it was huge, at least to her. Which gave plenty of room for both him and her, and possibly another two adult hyenas. Though, she never tired to invite anyone else into her little house for the moment. Normally, she didn't get along with someone, even if she lied and tried to get them to like her. This was totally different. He actually wanted to be around her, which was all good in her game. She smiled at that, though it looked more of an innocent smile then anything. "There it is!" She said to him almost excitingly. "It may look small now, but I assure you, we both can fit in it with plenty of room."

Kepo was pleased to have the female's name. He was beginning to think that she was really a very satisfactory female, and he was ... happy ... to have her name. Yes, happy. This Seriti was quite agreeable. She would make a wonderful addition to the clan, if she decided to go home with him. He smiled, a genuine smile.
The rocks weren't very inviting, but Kepo wasn't about to turn his nose up at shelter after a long, weary night. Certainly not when it was offered by such a handsome female. "It looks great," Kepo said. He glanced over at Seriti, noting her smile. The arrogant brown hyena thought everyone liked him, but he was beginning to think that Seriti really liked him. It was a nice feeling. "I'm honored to share your den, Miss Seriti," Kepo said graciously, bowing his head to the black female. "It's very nice of you."
It had taken Kepo a while to learn to be truly polite to hyenas outside the clan, but he was starting to enjoy being friendly. As long as you were talking to someone of worth, being friendly paid off. It was even fun.

His attitude seemed to slightly change. Which surprised her a little bit. She continued to smile at him. "It's not that great, but hey... It keeps you dry when you need to be, and warm when you do as well" And cold if you need that too, but she didn't say that. She moved faster now. Almost home. She was tired, but didn't want to show it to the male beside her. He seemed to be different. Her game plan was slowly diminishing, though she didn't know it yet.
She was still convinced that everything was going to go how she planned it. Even as she thought, the more time she spent with him, the harder it'd be to follow through with those plans. "This way, The entrance is on the other side" She told him as she moved to go behind the rock formation. Even if it was still slightly a bit away.
Though, they were closer now. The size of the rocks were now the size they were suppose to be, and in a few moments she could touch the rocks edge as she moved along them. "It won't be crowded with us in there, I think a lion use to sleep in it before" She said, but she wasn't sure. When she had gotten it there was no scent of anyone had been there at all.

Kepo trotted along behind the dark female, peering about with interest. He was very much looking forward to a nice safe nap. This being-on-his-own stuff ... well, it wasn't a whole lot of fun. No, nope. Not at all. The world was full of nasty rogue lions and all kinds of awful, uncivilized people. A safe place to sleep and a nice hyena female to share it with seemed like a dream come true.
The striped hyena was fighting back a yawn when Seriti mentioned lions. He scowled instantly, stomping forward to investigate the den. He breathed deeply. No liony stink. Kepo breathed out in a huff. "Lions," he said darkly. "Lions are terrible. We have one as a slave back home." He puffed up his chest a bit, standing taller. "If any lions come back here while we're sleeping, I'll kill them for you, Seriti." In Kepo's mind, he could definitely take on a lion. He just, you know, usually had better things to do.

Seriti grinned at that. Her own personal protector? She could totally get use to that. Then again, she was sure he didn't mean it. He was, after all, trying to trick her. Though, she was, after all, doing the same thing. Flicking her tail she nodded. "Well, then I can sleep without any worry, now that you're here." She said with batting her eyes a bit. She'd seen some females do that to seduce males. Perhaps she could do the same and it work in the same sense? She wasn't sure really WHEN to bat her eyes... but this seemed like a good time.
"make yourself at home" She told him with a smile. Watching him carefully. She moved to the back of the small rock den turned in a few circles before she thought it looked comfortable enough for her to plop down on the ground comfortably. Well, not as comfortable as some places she had found as a temp home, but this was good enough.
