Aha! Normally West didn't have a problem with the greasy little gnomes that seemed to infest the campus (actually, he thought they were kind of funny), but this one was not getting away with his one-sided food fight if West could help it. The demon sidestepped the taco, but a bit of it still managed to get some on the edge of one leg of his pants as it splashed on the ground.
"Hey!" he shouted. West glanced back and forth between Jericho and the retreating gnome, debating whether or not he should see if the dragon was all right after his dive or run after the red-capped menace. And then it was too late. Well, not too late exactly since the gnome's legs were quite stubby, more like 'too late' as in West didn't really feel like running anywhere. He bent over, retrieving a mushy half of the tossed jollymeal and chucking it in the gnome's direction.
"I'ma hafta talk t'Oswald 'bout this crap," he muttered. "Y'wanna follow'im?"

Twitching on the ground for a moment or so, Jericho slowly pushed himself back to his feet after his little crash. Fuming in place, he arched his back and suddenly spewed a stream a flame up towards the sky out of anger. This really wasn't his day.
"Follow him?" he snapped while glancing towards West, "I WANT TO JACKING BEAT HIM DOWN!"
Without much more thought into it, he started to charge after the fleeing gnome, using his wings to help boost him as well. The cheeky little thing seemed to have picked up on this and promptly jumped behind another bush... and apparently disappeared.

Again, a twinge of jealousy made West feel more like an envy demon than a wrath one. Why couldn't he spit flames? Whatever. He spared a smirk for the dragon's rage, then followed Jericho's charge at a slightly slower pace, lacking any sort of additional appendages that would help propel him.
Once West made it to the bush, it appeared that the gnome was already gone. "Where'sit?" he muttered under his breath, pushing aside branches and leaves until he saw a gnome-sized hole hidden in the dirt near the base of the foliage.

Coming back around to the bush where West was, Jericho was tempted to just incinerate the thing to get it out of the way. However, he soon spotted the hole as well. Frowning at this, he tried to reach into it, but the gnome wasn't anywhere within his grasp.
"Jack dammit!" He huffed before looking at the Wrath demon. There was no way they could tell where that cheeky little b*****d could have gone now.
"Now what?"
The dragon was clearly unhappy about it too.

For a moment, West was of a mind to suggest the dragon start digging for the gnome, but he derailed that train of thought fairly quickly. He doubted Jericho would actually do it, and time was not on their side. How were they going to chase something through the ground short of bribing or threatening some passing ghost kid to do it?
He looked around the immediate area, searching for a clue. What was fairly nearby? A classroom? The monster dorms? "Does yer dorm have a basement?" If they could find the other side of that hole, they might get their chance at revenge.

Jericho had to think about that answer for a moment. He hadn't personally gone down to the basement of the monster dorms, so he wasn't entirely certain if it existed.
"I think so, but I hadn't been there myself," he huffed. The only dorms he knew for sure to have a basement were the undead and ghost buildings. He didn't see why the monster dorms wouldn't have one as well though, as some monsters probably preferred to be underground.
"Do you think it's headed there?"

"Therror th'classrooms," West replied. He didn't really know why he thought the gnome might be accessible through some possibly fictitious monster dorm basement, he just really didn't want to be wandering around the basement of the school proper right now. West didn't feel like explaining to a teacher why they were just wandering around looking for a gnome to punch.
He shrugged. "'S'gooda place's any? Maybe we can lurrit out somehow."

Nodding as he listened to West, it did seem to be as good of a choice as any. They didn't have any leads, so they may as well start something. If they didn't find him now, then they would just have to try and keep an eye out for the pesky gnome in the future to lay out their revenge.
"Alright, sounds good," he said as he started to head on into the Monster Dormitory, "What do gnomes usually like? If we could figure that out, we'd have a better chance of luring him."
Jericho didn't really pay much attention to the gnomes in general, so he didn't know a great deal of them.

What did gnomes like? West only really knew one, but he had a feeling "normal-sized ghoul porn" was a favorite Oswald shared with the majority of the other male gnomes skulking around campus. Were there female gnomes? West supposed that didn't really matter right now. He thought harder, then shrugged.
"Not taco jollymeals," he answered finally. The one they were pursuing had seemed pretty eager to throw his away, at least. "Mebbe somethin' sweet, like candy worms."
