Billy chuckled as he watched Ladon go red. "But we have a while yet before you have to worry about that. Even then - not till you're ready. No pressure from me."
Though as he said that one of his feet shifted under the table to rub against one of Ladon's ankles, and he grinned as he grabbed a fry.

It was one of the best assurances he could get, and he felt an ease in the way the unannounced pressure was lifted, and he felt better for it. He had hoped that Billy didn't expect him to be as daring or as quick as he had been with Paris, and that he wasn't being compared. At least Billy knew he wasn't like him and that it would be in poor taste to judge them. Or he hoped so. Even though he might not be, Ladon would probably still think about it from time to time. It was still a touching gesture nonetheless, and speaking of future, far-away goals was just the sort of thing he liked to envious when taking anything on, even a relationship – even though this one goal was not the main priority for him, but it was there, in the unknown future. Not promised, but possible.
Just when he was smiling over the straw, he sucked back and nearly chocked on it when he felt something against his leg. His first reaction was to stab it, but he didn't have his blades here, and he then looked down to take note of a shoe brushing against his leg, and, following it, looked back up at Billy before turning a little bit pinker.
Even though it had only been two dates, it felt like much more, and he started to dislike Paris' words of warning. How could he say they just liked each other when they were this close? He wasn't going fast, was he? Paris and Billy certainly went much faster than this, and he didn’t want to be the one lagging behind. They were at least dating, and even though he knew he liked Billy, be damned he didn't think he loved him too. No one was this kind to him, open, and attracted to him, and he was taken easily in by it.
Warmer now, he thought of their two dates. "Yeah, we still have a ways to go…." Should he ….rub his leg with his leg? Would that be weird? "…Oh, I never got that third date. I owe you dinner." But then remembered they were eating together. "Not this." It didn't feel like this was a date after all, but with the leg touching his – SO DISTRACTING! - and making it hard to think, he guessed it sort of was turning into another date. Hell. Why not?! This could be a third date if he wanted it to be. Couples talked about their relationships on dates. Yeah. This was a date.
He felt it was a rather sad date if he was still sitting there, not doing anything. Why was it so hard for him to…react back??!
Summoning what little ball of courage he got, he looked about, glad they picked the booths in the back and in being on a fairly slow day, and pushed his tray over to Billy's side. While the ankle playing was ….well…….it certainly got his attention to say the least, Ladon was TRYING hard to – well, match up. Slipping from the booth, he moved over to sit next to Billy. "Can I try taking you out on another date this time to make up for the ruined one from before?" He asked, as if he needed permission.

"if you want, I'm certainly not going to stop you," Billy said looking over at his dark-haired companion. "Though perhaps we could share the kitchen duties? It would be less stress for you, although not necessarily less work - 've never been taught how to really cook - and would allow for some bonding. Beyond simply sitting around, chatting." This time Billy was making sure they locked the door behind them.

Ladon frowned a little, wondering if Billy was getting sick and tired of just sitting around and talking. Personally, he liked just sitting here next to Billy, talking to him and knowing they were together. Maybe he had to think of ways that they could do other things to make it more exciting? The last thing he wanted was for the silver-haired teen to get bored with him, and he decided he just HAD to think of something more fun when they went out next. He had to show Billy that he wasn't boring and that they could do things together other than just eating out and sitting around. He just....had to think of what.
Settling beside him, he took the last of his fries and gave them to Billy, leaning over to place them. "I'm not going to finish them." He said, more happy to be table to give him the fries than one person probably should. He liked sharing with someone, and he noticed how they were sitting barely an inch apart. That was very nice.
He liked this.
With a little smile on his face, he took a drink of his tea. "I can show you to cook. We can spend some time together making food for each other. Just tell me what you always wanted to learn to make. I'm not the best baker, but I'm good making regular meals." Like something on the range. Something boiled, chopped, cooked, seared, steamed, or whatever else needed to be done. He also....wished their time just before Paris came hadn't been interrupted. ...that missing kiss still lingered in his mind.

"mm, truth be told there's not much I know of food-wise to have developed much of a desire to learn to cook them. I've lived off of school mystery lunch so long-" he held up a fry, "that even a decent fry is a godsend. Well,..anything decipherable really." Okay, maybe all the school food wasn't that bad, but he seemed to get stuck with the worst lunch time - when they were usually running out of food and luck of the draw was the rejected stuff that no one wanted. Yeah. That was something Meadowview and Hillworth had in common, he had noted. No one wanted to look on their schedule and see "fourth lunch" written in that cold font.
"So, I'm up for whatever you feel like subjecting me to." That could have meant....so many things.

Like most things, the last comment almost got to Ladon. Maybe it was recently hanging out with both Paris and then Billy, but he could have sworn that last part sounded .....indecent. The moment he thought it was, he quickly denied that it was and that Billy wasn't being the perverted one here - he was! He felt rather ashamed of the fact his mind was in the gutter, and he tried to redeem himself by thinking clean thoughts.
"Then I'll see about teaching you how to make a great meal. As often as you like without getting in trouble." If he could, he would have packed lunches for Billy, but he doubted that would work. If, maybe, the boy had a cooler or mini-fridge, he would have. Ladon would have gone far as making him meals for the week so that he wouldn't have to eat whatever horrible food he was getting at Hillworth - but for now, a shared dinner or lunch at his place, cooked together .......his mind returned back to the third date before it had been ruined...............................Yeah. Cooking together would be nice.
"I forgot. There isn't anything you wanted to know about me, right? I didn't want you to think I was keeping secrets or that I'm a liar. If you want to know anything, I'll tell you." Since Billy had been more than honest about his past.

"Mmn," Billy seemed to ponder, rosey eyes looking over Ladon if a assessing, and yet vaguely warm, way, "I think I should like to know how best to please you. I know some of my mannerisms and wordings are not to your liking, however I cannot fix what I don't know is broken. Also, I would hope to further earn your endearment. You told me before some things, but I feel you were somewhat evasive. You don't like to talk about yourself, I suspect?"
As Billy spoke he ran his knuckles gently along Ladon's jawline, occasionally stopping to brush through some of that dark hair. Meanwhile the remainder of their food went ignored, in favor of conversation. Ladon truly was a pretty little thing, his features softer than Billy's own, which was quite suiting.
"It's alright... To tell me things. After all, I've no one to tell." No friends, sure as hell not family..and Billy highly doubted there was much he could use as blackmail against the innocent boy. Who would want said information other than him? It wouldn't do him any good to spread it around. So this in mind, along with the fact that he needed to gain the boy's trust before he'd tell him anything prompted him. "Your secrets are safe with me, as I'd hope mine are with you."

Ladon stared at Billy, his eyes going wide and his face growing ever redder, and just watched him. The soft brush of a hand against his jaw line, then a few drags across his hair. It wasn't like anyone else who would ruffle his hair playfully because they thought he was "cute" or adorable in that little-kid-brother fashion. Billy wasn't making fun of him by doing it, and for that reason, he didn't hate it or grumble as he patted it down. In fact, Ladon wasn't thinking of much of anything. His brain went dead and he was just staring at him, mouth slightly open as he watched. When he realized he was being prompted to respond, he blinked a few times, and then went "….huh?"
It was such a stupid response and, ever over thinking things, he thought that Billy would think he was a moron and he WAS a moron, and that he would just find him stupid! Ohhh! He was such a lame-o!!!!! Here Billy was always suave and said amazing things, and he was just some lump on a log saying stupid things all the time. He wished his brain would work like everyone elses' and be coolier! Now he just wanted to flop down and hit his head on the table.
"Uh…I mean…" he said, trying to recover his thoughts and what little dignity he had. "….I just never talked to anyone about myself before. I told you ….I've never been with anyone." He pressed more into his seat, looking about, before looking back up at Billy's uniquely pink eyes. "……I don't want you to think I'm boring or stupid…..that I don't know anything – not that I do – but…" he didn't know where he was going with this. He just……he didn't want Billy to think he didn't know anything even if he liked that he was "innocent", but that he knew that he didn't know as much as Paris either. "……….I don't want you to be disappointed." It was what really bothered him, and he felt terrible saying it.

"Your mind still on that?" Billy chuckled, shaking his head before propping it on one hand, elbow resting on the table. "I simply want to know what the typical day is for my ear Ladon. Aside from the monotony of school, surely you have other things that occupy your time, break the monotony, and keep you entertained?" Because Billy highly doubted all that spare time was spent doing some 'one-handed reading' or hanging out with Paris. Or doing homework. Like he said - something had to break up the monotony.
Little did Billy know, he wouldn't discover Ladon's real past-time, or 'job' working for the Negaverse for a while yet. It would have made filling in the time gaps, and breaking up the monotony so much easier, but alas - this would test Ladon's creative powers, coming up with some plausible 'day in the life' for a rather persistent silver-haired boy.

[He sat in place, rubbing one hand against his arm as he thought. It was very clear that he didn't like talking about himself, but if Billy was honest and persistent, there was little reason for him to deny him the answers. Even if the answers could wind up being boring and not of any real interest. "I don't really do much. When I'm stuck at home, I just clean the house and do homework. I read a little, and I also work on small, little things. I usually don't like staying at home. I feel pent up and it's very quiet there. Since my mother works late, I can get away with leaving the house. I usually go out and pick up food for dinner or whatever groceries we need, or just find a reason to take long walks. I know it's dangerous now, but I like going to the park or walking into the city during the day and night." He liked moving about since he always felt like he was using his time doing something worthwhile or going somewhere. "I used to be on track team, but I grew tired of it." It was more that he grew too tire from patrolling at night to attend. "I also used to help out at the community center too, but I grew tired of that too. Not that I'm a person who quiets quickly or anything. I just felt it was time to go." Again, he had spent a lot of time at night patrolling that he usually took a nap after school to make up for it. He had no time for these silly activities when he had to do other, bigger things.
He looked back up at the other boy. "Not much really. I don't do art or any other great hobbies. I can't draw to save my life, and I don't write. I tried playing video games with a old friend of mine a while ago, but I'm not very good." It could have been because he was also scared of the games they were playing.
Again, turning the conversation back, he looked at Billy. "Do you do anything else aside from painting?" Of course he was just asking now to dive away from talking about him.

It was a little hard for Billy to imagine Ladon doing such a sweaty, laborious, activity such as track. Then again, the mental image, once obtained, was thoroughly pleasing. He tried to hold back the smirk-like smile it brought.
"Well, I certainly hope you don't grow tired of me anytime soon. Myself, aside from my art I enjoy astronomy. Not so much the scientific aspects of it, as much as the mythology. Science involves too much math. What kind of things do you like to read?"
And just like that, he turned it back to Ladon.

Drats! Back on him again. He sank a little in his seat, looking around, and then back at his boyfriend. "I like reading fantasy. I really like medieval fantasy, ya know, with knights and things like that." He especially liked knights and a code of conduct. Acts of bravery and adventure, not to mention hardship and emotional turmoil.
He turned the conversation back. "Do you ever go out and look at the stars?"

"Ah, well then, would it woe you if I knelt before you and pledge my loyalty, like a knight to their prince? Or better yet - the 'Lady' of their affections?" Billy used Paris' nickname to Ladon simply because it fit. He chuckled, "Because I will. I bet I could even find a plastic knife somewhere round here, and you can knight me yourself~" It was all a soft, affectionate, tease.
He backed off when things were turned back to himself, and sat up a little straighter; "I do on occassion. A majority of my art depicts the night, and fantasy~ Castles, crystal forests, moonlit meadows,..." the list went on in his mind. "When the weather warms up, maybe we can go to the park one night. Lay beneath the stars..." And try not to get eaten by monsters. Sigh...

Ladon frowned a moment, before leaning back, clearly not that pleased with the nickname. It was one thing for Paris to call him it, but to have his boyfriend think he was a girl wasn't something he wanted to let go. "I think you'd be the prince instead..." He glanced away. "...being as charming as you are." Okay, so it was a sad attempt at flirting, but he had actually let that slip out before he thought of what he was saying.
He crossed his arms across his chest, not at all wanting to be the one in the backseat being tended to if he was either a "lady" or a "prince". If only Billy knew he could well be the knight, could protect him from monsters far better than he ever could, then he wouldn't think that he was so helpless.
A little flushed from saying even that Billy was charming, he looked back. "But watching the stars does sound nice. We should do that once the weather gets warmer. I know some nice places in the park that no one ever goes to." If only he could teleport Billy places, he could show him plenty of nice spots for viewing the city. Then again, walking together to some quiet place at night did sound just as nice.

"Mm, but if we are to cure my ego problem, I would do well to hold someone above the own pedestal I have placed myself. It is because of that, that you are my prince. What a fairytale we'd make - the charming knight and the virtuous prince~" yes, Billy had picked up on the slight flirtation, and he had been greatly amused.
"-Living in a kingdom where monsters lurk, and war is waged beneath the stars, the two dream of the night when they can peaceably lay and look up at the transcended spirits of old~" Billy spoke as if reading off the back of a paperback romance. There was a slight grin on his face, and later he would remark to himself that he had actually been truly enjoying it.
