Demon: *Pulled himself up, he was shaking. He had already decided that it wouldn't matter now... as long as Rhea and that stupid foal stayed out of the forest he would accept his fate. That was a decision all too shortly lived as he saw Rhea.* Stubborn mare... *he grumbled as he tried to take a step forward.* ....get out before I kill you myself. *he barked it as best as he could, but he was still heavily panting, his lungs burning and desperate for air, desperate for anything that wasn't poisonous. He looked at Rhea for a moment, eyes clear and serious. He would scarifice himself if he needed to.... but not anyone else.* GET OUT! *He roared at her, then considering she wouldn't because she was stubborn he added softly, anything to get her out,* ...give me something to keep heading towards. *he took another slow step. He knew that she was still in a bad way, she would feel that sure enough.... she needed to get out and rest for a few days.*
Rhea:: *The stubborn mare heard the brutal shouting from the Stallion and her ears flickered, wanting to drawl back against her skull but she wouldn't let herself submit this time. This time it was best if she disobeyed him.* I'm not going to just walk away and leave you here to die! I need you to get up you lazy- *suddenly she was cut off when he explained that it was best if he had something to work towards. When he managed to get to his feet and took a step she gave him a long stare accompanied by soft weezing and nodded slowly, doing her best to turn around and head towards the field. It was so close, and all he had to do was break passed the trees. Surely the fire wouldn't catch on this healthy lucious grass. It was to green for a wild fire.* Follow Demon. Come protect what's yours... *She gave him that satisfaction, thinking it would help him move on. She lead him all the way to the field where she collapsed yet again, huffing out heavy breaths.*

Demon: *Took slow hoof steps, he was trying to keep up, the fire was getting closer, the warmth around them was almost unbarable, but he was pleased when she finally collapsed in the relative safety of the field beyond the trees. He went to spred his wings but the one that bent earlier roared in protest, he winced and drew it back to his side. After what felt like hours he finally made it to the egde of the forest. Exhausted, sweating, and panting. Not attractive.... and he also remembered what he had said to her, he had lied to get her to move..... claiming to need something to follow. Yet his guilt was not because he had lied, he did that all the time.... but because she had been willing to sacrifice herself for him. He tried to growl, but it didn't make much sound.... so instead he continued to try and drag himself forward. Away from the forest, away from the foal, away from Rhea. He had lead them out of the forest..... what more could he do?*
Rhea:: *She sighed with relief as Demon followed her out of the forest and for now they were safe. All of them. She saw the little foal curling up in the grass to take a much needed nap. She turned her eyes to the forest that was releasing so much black smoke into the sky, it looked demonic. When she went to look at Demon she noticed that he was still walking, away from her.* W-what?! Where do you think you're going? *She would have stood up and followed him but she knew already her body wouldn't permit that.*

Demon: *He didn't turn around, just continued walking* Away from the forest. *He said, hoping his answer wouldn't anger her... he couldn't stay, he had intended to leave that morning knowing that although Rhea fascinated him she was not truely 'his', he could never commit to her the way she wanted, the way she deserved.... and her emotions were too much for him, he didn't understand them.... nor did he want to try. No. It was best for her if he went, he had only attempted to find her food so that she would know he had...... had what? He didn't know. He had claimed her, and for a moment it had been all passion and fire..... so strong he had feared getting burnt. But it was over, and clingy mares were not acceptable.*
Rhea:: *She watched as he continued on and she shook her head.* Fine.... Leave! *She knew very well there was more to this than him just wanting to rid himself of the forest that was ablaze. There was more than one thing he was trying to escape, and she knew it deep down in her gut. She felt so stupid thinking that he needed something to follow. It became clear to her now that he only said the things he said to satisfy her. To shut her up maybe? That idea only frurstrated and hurt her more so she laid her head on the grass and shut her eyes. She replaced all her sorrows and regrets with anger and malice. Things were easier that way.*

Demon: *To say he didn't feel guilty would be a lie, but he couldn't go back.... couldn't look back..... he craved his freedom. She was safe, she would be happy again one day. That was all that mattered. Demon just needed..... away.* FINISHED!
