Teykali smiled, seeing her eat the apples, "Of course, I have no doubts in your capabilities." His sincerity was all too obvious, and of course being somewhat a learned gentleman, he had felt it was much better to act rather than watch her perhaps fumble and give up on eating. He was glad that his earlier commentary hadn't made her feel uncomfortable, and being that she was still chatting with him and curious over his encounter with one Eviotil ver Spitfire, he was very much inclined to enlighten her.
"As to the purple winged mare, or rather purple coated mare with wings was an interesting lunch to say the least. " He picked up an apple and munched it before continuing on, "She was a rare sort of Kalona, who though very self serving, and quite evil in her own right, had boundaries that she would not cross." He thought about the lunch fondly, "She had a terrible attitude, only more influenced by her rather recent addition to her family." Picking up another apple, he continued, "I caught her in the middle of a rabbit lunch, and she offered me some, I declined, opting instead for the bait she'd used for her meal. The carrots weren't bad, and the conversation took several odd turns. Her idea to rule part of the Kawani lands, though she had long since decided it wasn't going to work out, so she was an outside protector of sorts of this herd called the Primrose Herd." He remembered vividly that he'd met the leader of the herd of which Eviotil spoke, "We chatted about the leader, who I had run into not a week before, she gave me a few things to think on, not at all the type of evil one would expect from a Kalona, but then she stated, 'You're no good as a pawn for me, being a friend of Sho's means you're offlimits as far as that goes.' Apparently she'd made a promise to the leader of the Primrose herd and she was hell bent on keeping it."
He shook his head, "Eviotil ver Spitfire, quite an odd sort, but in her own way a much more pleasant Kalona to speak with than most." That conversation had been much longer than he let on, but the high points were more than enough to let her know how odd the run in had been, "What about your travels, had any interesting characters that have bombarded you with conversation?" He was genuinely curious, but if she didn't want to chat about it, he could simply go back to eating quietly.

Topper munched away at her apples that were finally giving her stomach some relief. How long had it been since she had eaten a meal like that she wondered to herself. Before she listened to the words the kind stallion spoke."Well I'm glad, since maybe sometime I'll be able to show you just what I am capable of," she said with a slight laugh finishing the last of her apples an licking her lips a little."Delicious," she whispered under her breath as she waited to see if he would tell her more of his interesting encounter.
The moment he began to tell the details her eyes widened with excitement. This encounter he had, had was amazing! Not only had he met a purple winged mare but a kalona at that. Kalona were supposed to completely evil beings and not many escape from their grasps. Or so she had heard from her travels that is. Though yet her new friend Teykali had not only met one but lived to see another day. What type of male was he exactly she wondered, as she told her mind to never forget the tale she had just heard. Since this tale was definitely one in a million at least to her, and plus she'd probably never hear a tale like this from another guy in her life. "That's amazing," she mumbled only to continue smiling and laughing a bit, "I would have probably just wanted the carrots too."
All these thoughts raced through her head and she couldn't decide which question to ask first. If she asked to many it would probably just be a bother so she asked the first question that came to mind, "So though if you don't mind me asking, what was your run in with the leader like? It must have been something to be considered a friend of his so quickly," she said with curiosity showing greatly in all parts of her voice. Though as she heard his question she quickly answered, "well I have run in on a stallion with cat ears, a cat tail, collar with a thick chain, and a huge fluffy looking scarf. He had some issues with his lover I believe. It was very odd how met though I just followed a noise. The sound of a clack of a chain and there began my strange encounter with the most interesting character I have ever met..."
As soon she told a few details of her own strange encounter she paused and smiled being prepared to say more if he asked for some details. She was so excited that he had asked since she had never told anyone of this encounter before. Who would have guessed this day would turn out so fun and enjoyable. This day had already been one of her favorite days of life. She was having fun and not only that but part of her was being to trust a guy for the first time in her life.

Teykali chuckled at Topper's assumption that the herd leader was a male, "The leader was actually a mare. She's quite the care taker, and a smart mare. Gentle, caring and capable. She's raised a good family as well, and some how or other, she and Eviotil became friends...I never did ask about that...wasn't sure I wanted to know entirely how it happened." He shook his head, "Our conversation was one that was helpful while I was in her company, wise beyond her years though she was a little bit of a ditz. I think her infectious good nature was what made it quite enjoyable to speak with her."
His head gave a curious tilt, "Seems like he would be a most interesting character to speak with." There was an odd look, then a warm smile again, "Lover troubles can only cause the heart to ache badly. Did you help him sort it out? And did you find out why he was so feline in looks?" He listened interestedly, glad she was eating, and seemingly enjoying herself. It was rather adorable the way she got excited about informing him of this, as though perhaps she'd never really spoken with anyone about anything. If nothing else he could count himself lucky as he liked to hear her speak, and she seemed happy about speaking with him.

Topper nodded her head, and thought to herself quietly, "a female leader? That's unique, every herd I've ever encountered there was always a male in the lead." At just the thought of a female leader her mind began to wonder, what would it be like to have that kind of strength. Strength enough to lead your own herd and not have to listen to any male at all. Her eyes shined a little bit, until she glanced towards Teykali. "Then again I wouldn't mind a guy like him leading me," she whispered under her breath not realizing she had said that aloud.
He was the only guy she had every been able to just speak to like this. She didn't hesitate to say anything with him and she was actually ...happy? What was happening this couldn't be right? It was almost as if he wasn't a normal guy at all, but more like he meant something to her in this short amount of time. If only she knew what, as she felt herself shake her head once again, biting into her last apple and swallowing before speaking once again.
"Oh a female? well that is amazing! An to be able to raise a family like that is even better. I don't really know what family is like but I can imagine it would be fun," she said before continuing, "and I agree completely. Since while I spoke to him I could feel is pain from where I sat..." As her mind took her back to that day she remembered how much pain she could feel from him.
It was almost like he had lost all he cared for in the world and nothing was left to speak of. "I did help him as best I could, I told him that if he loved her why was he just sitting there. I basically said he should chase after her, since nothing hurts more than knowing just one move like that could keep someone you enjoy being with by your side," Topper gently bowed her head a bit. She wasn't really sure if the advice she gave the stallion was great, but it was the only thing she could think to say. After all if her father hadn't run away maybe her mother would have stayed by her side. As she thought of that she could feel her mood begin to fall a bit. That was when she had to remind herself that you can't rewind life, so you just have make the best of what you have now.
"Though as for the looks, he said he was born that way." she said with a slight giggle trying to bring the happy mood back. "I don't know where he was born, though they must have some interesting characters there." The more she spoke about this tale the more her heart warmed, and wasn't so hardened like normal. This guy was listening and caring about what she had to say. Maybe she might actually stay here for a bit she thought, as part of her really never wanted to leave this males surprisingly great company.

Teykali smirked at her whispered admission, but felt that it wasn't something he should take seriously. She was young, and it was interesting to speak with her, he only hoped that she wouldn't feel awkward around him. So rather than say anything about it, he ignored the comment.
"Yes, Shoshana is a very unique female. Surprising and capable of understanding those around her very easily. Though I must say such a small mare has quite a lot of fight in her, especially when keeping her herd together, and her family safe." He thought on that day fondly. Sho was a very gentle soul, and quite amazing in her own right. So, he was quite happy to have met her, "Perhaps I can take you to meet her. She's an inspiring sort of female."
As she spoke of the male she'd chatted with, he listened intently, smiling all the while, "It seems like you really helped out a troubled soul. Always something to take a little joy in." He sighed, thinking on his own travels, "Seems most times that I get into a conversation, I'm the one who takes up the troubled soul part. But I will get better some day." There was a small smile on his face as he spoke.

Topper saw the male smirk and wondered why, but she didn't question and instead just smiled. This male was so unique, he had gone on adventures that she could only dream of. Plus he actually was a genuinely nice guy, something she definitely wasn't used to. She suddenly caught herself staring at him and shook herself out of it. Just in time to respond to his new words.
"She sounds wonderful! So strong too," she tried her best to picture this determined female herd leader in her head. Just a single thought of her and she was already more amazed than ever. Quickly she came out of her thoughts and listened to what he said, "You think you could? That would be so awesome, and I agree she is. I kinda wish I was like her." She ended her comment with a slight giggle.
All the while she could feel her guards dropping one by one. This male had done what no other before could, he was breaking through some of her defenses.
She nodded her head, "I hope I did, since I could tell from his eyes he really loved her. Though your right it is and I'm sure you will! I'll even help you if I can." As the words came out she felt a slight blush come over her face. Since she was hoping what she said wouldn't scare him away, it was probably a bit sudden. Teykali gave a small chuckle as she spoke of helping him, she was sweet, though young, and he was quite sure she'd tire of his companionship, but it was a sad thought as he frowned momentarily, thinking that she'd find companionship with another. He shook the thought and spoke again.
"Alright, I'd be glad to have your assistance, not sure what you can do, but we can travel together for awhile. Till you find another companion to take up your time?" It was an innocent little question, one that could have been thought of as baiting, but in all reality he sincerely felt that she'd find another companion.

Topper cocked her head a bit to the side. She wasn't sure if she should tell him or not. Though the chance of her finding another guy that made her walls drop like he was doing. Wasn't going to happen. She had never felt this way before. So different, in the best way. She was actually enjoying his company and she didn't fear him like the other males. It wasn't just a feeling he was different and actually quiet wonderful.
"Well yay, I'll be happy to travel with you. That way neither of us have to be alone and we can have a wonderful time." she smiled so happily. It was the happiest she had been in awhile. So she breathed in and took a shot in the dark. He had been so open with her maybe now it was her turn. "Well actually..." she said with her face a little towards the ground and her hair brushing in front of her face. "I don't think there will be another. Since your the first guy I've ever actually... well... been able to talk like this with. I mean guys aren't really a normal thing for me." As she said that she stood there slightly closing her eyes. Since she hoped for the best but she also feared he might think she was weird.
Either way she wanted to find someway to tell him just in this short time. He had become something special to her. So this was her move to tell him in the only words she could get to come out of her head.

There was a small blink from Teykali, this mare was...cutely speaking about her feelings and he wasn't entirely sure she knew what was implied in that small admission. There was a shy, adorable sort of air about her that made his chest clench, this reminded him of something...something from before that was just out of reach.
Shaking off the mild headache, he smiled gently, "If that is how you truly feel, Topper, I won't push you away. You're a very sweet mare, and I find your company to be soothing." He added a bit thoughtfully, "We shall just have to see where the winds take us, won't we?"
Something in him was twitching with memories. Was it possible he'd felt this way before? But the flutter thoughts drifted away as he shifted on his hooves, they'd spent so much time chatting it was well into the early evening, "Though we may wish to see where it goes tomorrow, It's getting late and travel by night is not the best idea."
Tilting his head and giving a small stretch, "Do you have somewhere picked out to stay?" An innocent question, if she didn't, he could help her find somewhere, or offer a corner of the rather comfortable cave he'd found.

Topper opened her eyes. He was still standing there. A smile slightly appeared on her face. She honestly hadn't thought of how that sounded, but if he was still here. It must of sounded sorta good and by her speaking out like that. She had taken a step to telling him something about her, something that most people didn't know. Her wall was just coming down like it was made of sand.
"Well good, cause you won't get rid of me that easily," she laughed a bit before continuing, "after all I did say i'd help you anyway I could." She was determined to help him even if she was no help at all. Her mind was set. So set that she almost didn't hear him call her sweet and say that he enjoyed her company.
Her face lite up red with blushing and her heart thumped heavily as she caught the end of his words. This feeling was new. So new she really didn't know what it was - except it had something to do with him. Maybe on their journey she could find out what exactly it was.
With all that going on inside her chest and face - she was at a loss for words for a moment and just listened to what he was saying. Trying to regain her composer as best she could.
As he finished she glanced at the sky which was beginning to dim, "Wow your right it has gotten late... man time flies when you have good conversation. Though I like that plan. We'll just see where the wind takes us tomorrow." With a nod she looked towards him, "honestly I don't really have any set place I sleep. I normally just sleep where ever I end up..." She knew that sounded bad but she was always moving that she never had time to look for a set place to stay. "What about you - do you have somewhere you stay at Teykali?" Rinial Sisterdragon oops that got kinda long. xD

Teykali chuckled a bit as she seemed excited, then he quirked a brow as she asked of his accomidations. He nodded, "I found a rather comfortable place to sleep. It's a cave, but the floor's padded with decent moss padding towards the back. It looks like it's one that several soquili have used in traveling." As he described the cave he contemplated simply offering to share the accomidations with her, and deciding he may as well take a step forward again, he spoke again.
"Would you like to come take a look? I'd be more than happy to share or let you have the place for the night, depending on how you feel about it once you've seen it." That was much more forward than he tended to be, but there wasn't anything hidden behind the words, only that sincere desire to make sure she was comfortable and safe for the night before they went adventuring into the world.
As he waited for her answer, he thought of who she might most like to meet out of all those he'd met in his travels. Perhaps Evi...though the Kalona mutant could be a bit, abrasive when meeting new people. Shoshana was someone who could inspire without too much effort, so it might be best to meet her first.

Topper listened intently as he told her of the cave he stayed in. It sounded like a very comfortable cave. She couldn't remember the last time she stayed anywhere that even sounded close to that. She had to admit it sounded wonderfully comfortable. As she continued to listen to him speak she became intrigued. It sounded almost magically to, to think of all the travels that had stayed there.
"I'd love to take a look, since it does sound like a very wonderful cave." she said with a smile. She wasn't completely sure how to respond to his forward response. Since she was torn part of her wanted to jump at it, but at the same time she was a little nervous. Never once had she actually stayed anywhere near or in the same arm length of a guy before.
Though today she had learned one thing and that was that if you don't at least take one step you'll never know. After all the past was the past. So she breathed in and decided to take a step forward. She had an adventure to look forward to after all, and a new friend to help.
"You know I think I might just want to stay - if you don't mind the company," she said with a small grin before continuing, "It would give us a chance to plan out our adventure a little bit and its a lot better than the tree I was planning on sleeping on tonight. She laughed a bit, since in comparison his cave had beat her tree out by far.
She could only imagine the tales he had to tell, and all the people he's met. Maybe she'd even get a chance to meet some of them. Since even though she had only heard one tale she was dying to met her.

He gave a chuckle and a lopsided sort of smile as she accepted his invitation, it was nice that she was trusting of him and he was sure she'd be much more comfortable sleeping at the cave rather than under a tree.
"Great, we should probably get headed sooner rather than later as some times the path is a bit tricky if you return later in the evening." He shifted and moved to lead her to the cave, "Yep. We can plan, and you'll get a better night's sleep in a cave that's secure rather than a tree out in the middle of nowhere, I can assure you." He smiled, "Speaking from experience of course."
He kept a slower pace, not in a huge hurry to get there as he kept an eye on the sun setting slowly, ambering the sky with glorious colors, a wistful sigh escaped him as he thought a bit on the things he still couldn't remember, but he gave a small shake and pressed onward towards the humble little cave.

Topper smiled, something inside her told her she was in good hands. She was with someone who wouldn't hurt her or anything like that. Sure he didn't remember his past, but just like she knew herself the past doesn't matter. It only tells you who you were not who you'll be.
So she galloped slightly to catch up to him and once she was right beside. She just looked at him for a moment lost in thought. Then she shook her own head and looked back. "You're right. It is getting pretty late. Well it's good i'm with someone who knows the way just in case," she said with a slight chuckle before continuing. "I guess your right though to be honest I wouldn't know. I never really stayed in a covered place before."
She had always been alone and stay outside and on the move was her main goal. She never really stayed anywhere to long either.
Though her head turned and she noticed the sun setting before them. "You know this sunrise is kinda like something you'd hear in a story don't you think?"
As she asked that even if she didn't feel it her wall was tumbling even further down. Like maybe this male truly was different then all the others she had met before.

He gave her a momentary look of concern at her admission of never having slept somewhere that she had cover. It was particularly worrisome due to the fact that he'd done that himself, and while she was a very capable mare, it was troubling.
"Well, it will be a new experience for you. Especially since you've company to spend the time with rather than being on your own, right?" He gave a warm sort of chuckle as he banished the worry for her well being. She would be alright at least while he traveled with her.
There was a small tug as she spoke of the sunset, it was nearly a romantic sort of thought that she pointed out the sunset, "I agree, but then I feel stories of sunsets and sunrises are always inspiring, and perhaps just a little promising of beauty yet to come in the night and through the day."
It was again sincere commentary, genuinely how he felt about those sorts of stories, and how he viewed every day, having lost so much of his memory.
He lapsed a little into silence as they continued forward, coming to the overgrowth, then a clearing that opened up just before the cave he'd found. Once inside, it was quite comfortable, the floor padded toward the back with items other soquili had left there in their times of travel, perhaps even blankets made for them by the two-legged creatures that helped many soquili. It was a more than pleasant little haven from the winds and rains.
"Well, it should be roomy enough for both of us, if you'd prefer I can stay towards the front once it's time to call it a night." He wanted to make sure she was comfortable, since he was still mostly a strange stallion she'd run into.
