He heard his mother call to him, then he heard all of his cousins and his aunt. Well he heard his female cousins, the male seemed quiet, but he was glad to see he wasn't the only stallion around...not that he was able to be called a stallion yet. Rakshi grinned and trotted over giving a flourishing sort of bow to his extended family, his tail flicking behind him. Sure it was a little silly but with how the whole family was an adventuring sort, something so regal from someone as young as him, would either impress them, or get them to laugh, either reaction was quite good in his book. He was particularly hopeful that his cousin with the blue glowing eyes would get a chuckle out of it.
Rakshi snickered a bit as he watched "Prot the dragon" at it again, and rather than pay much attention to what was going on with his mother and aunt, he would rescue his male cousin from the snake and the dragon, "Have at thee, foul dragon! Thou shall not slay my kin's pet!" He mockingly pawed at the ground to charge at his sister, who had been attempting to pick on him, till her "ooo, what's that" attention span kicked in. "I shall conquer you yet, scaly scoundrel!"

Well, no one else was going into the cave, so Rosi definitely wasn't going in alone to be the sole subject of his grandmother's questioning. But the arrival of his younger cousins and aunt left him with a confusing feeling. He really wasn't thrilled at the thought of being surrounded by even more family, but he also remembered that the time he spent with Leila...really wasn't so bad. Maybe if he could just stick around the foals and avoid interacting with the older females of the clan he'd be alright.
And it seemed like the foals were helping with his new plan. His brow raised as Tian crept up behind him and went after his tail. Though he didn't exactly seem pleased at first, it didn't take long for Rosi to actually be amused by his cousin's game. Flicking his tail around wildly, he kept it just out of reach and even taunted her with pokes to her shoulder or cheek. He couldn't help but chuckle as Rakshi came to his rescue, glad to see that there was another male in the family. Opting to let them handle each other rather than chime in with some cheesy line about needed to be saved or the such, Rosi just continued to twitch his tail at Tian. He would definitely be spending more time with the foals than the other members of his family.
Of course, as just about everyone had finally gathered together, he couldn't help but realize how completely out of place he looked among them...The only one with wings of any kind, the only one with violet colored hair and eyes, the only one as shaggy as a bear with its winter coat. A part of him wished his father was there.

Louvia let out a snort when she saw two foals playing with Rosi's tail. No, she wasn't laughing at your young cousins, but more so the annoyance on her brother's face. Sibling rivalry is what others called it, and Louvia loved seeing her brother not so happy. She stuck the sharp end of her spear into the ground near the cave opening and walked towards her brother and the two foals. Her brother was not happy, and she just wanted to make it worse.
She bent her head to the eye level of the foals and called them over. "Hi guys. I'm Louvia, your cousin, but you're free to call me Vivi." She looked over to her brother and winked. "How would you like me to hold the end of this 'snake' with my mouth while you guys finish it?"
At the moment, Louvia was ignoring the fact that she didn't know these kids well. All she was thinking of doing was messing with her brother. Cruel, but it was fun at the same time.--------------------------------------- "Father said that she's inside a cave not too far from here. Though I haven't seen mother myself yet. She's inside with our baby siblings." Emille had a wide smile on while talking to her sister. She also noticed that her kids started to play (or at least it looked like playing) with some of Mera's kids.
She let out a small laugh. "Our kids are getting along!"
"Oh yeah!" Emille pointed with her muzzle. "Father is that way, near the cave where Mother is. I'm pretty sure you've seen him more than I have though..." Growing up made Emille's love of traveling and exploring grow, so it was sad for her not to see her parents and sister enough. But she knew today was supposed to be a happy day, so she put her regret at the back of her mind.

Ail grinned, quickly working out the basic gist of the game. With a quick twitch of her tail, it "attacked" the filly called Tian, flicking her lightly against the cheek.
"Oh, dear, it would appear that there were TWO dragons!" she said with a broad feline grin as the tail jigged cheekily out of range of the adventurous young cousin. Ail had noticed that everyone was ganging up on Rosi, and while she didn't join in, she didn't particularly object to Rosi getting teased and played with. After all, if possible, he was a bigger flirt and player than their father, and while Ail loved him very much, she was a little sad that they were the result of a one night stand.

She glanced at the mare who'd introduced herself and gave a small nod to let her know she'd heard the greeting. Her attention returned to her quarry though.Tia growled viciously at the tail that was poking her in the shoulder then again in the cheek, ignoring her brother who was playing the lawful knight.. Oh this snake would pay dearly for it's mockery. Arching her neck back, she lunged it forward and SNAP she bit down on the snake and gnawed on it in her most vicious like mockery of what she pictured a dragon to do with food in her mind. Yes she was now proceeding to pack off with her prize. Her cousin's tail in mouth she pranced about and looked defiantly and victoriously at her brother before glancing at her other cousins. Oh dear! another snake was attacking her other cousin! Releasing her prize, she set off to get Ail's tail.
She nodded and smiled happily. "I've kept in touch with father off and on... He brought mother to see me when my little ones were born." She And laughed at how her children played and tormented their older cousins. It reminded her of when she and Emille would play. That was a long while back.. then she'd only had fresh scars on her front legs; now however, she was littered with scars most were still rather new from the wolf pack she'd fended off not long after her foals were born. She'd left her father watching the basket hat day so she could clear her head, but now she was happy to be alive, sharing this moment with her family, the one night stand with her best friend forgotten. It's resulted in three beautiful children and she had no ill will against her friend. after all it'd been an accident but they were adults and would act like it. Their children didn't seem to have issues with the odd relationship she and Sena had, so it didn't bother her now.

Albert couldn't help standing near the cave entrance, watching his entire family. "Prot" was terrorizing who she could, which seemed to be the cat-tailed cousins for the moment, though her siblings seemed to be having their own fun. Mera was healing up well, he was pleased to see. Emille's kids were easy to see from their stripes, and the boys shaggy coat. It was fun to watch, and to see Emille and Merashik talking again. In some ways, He wished it would never end, to see them all together like this. His ears cocked backwards, and then he turned to see Meru approaching. "Look Meru. They're playing."
Meru had heard when the others had arrived, but she didn't want to leave her baskets. When it turned to sounds of play as she recognized Tian and Mera's voices, she couldn't help but wonder closer to Albert to see them. Now she stood watching, and her feet itched. They weren't sore anymore, and she wasn't heavy around the belly. It seemed all the energy that she had had to hold back was coming back. Watching the others run around made her feet dance. She took a moment to adjust to the stripes and the wings. This was her family. And it had a lot of girls.
Albert couldn't help but grin at the way his mate started wiggling and moving. Just like Meru. Though he understood her hesitation. She hadn't been properly introduced yet. Albert bumped his forehead into her shoulder. "Go on. I'll stay behind and keep an eye on them." His eyes danced. He wasn't going too surround himself with girls, and if Rosi needed any male companionship in the sea of females, he could come near the cave. Though Albert wasn't sure if that would save his tail from Tian.
Meru turned to face him, seeing his smile, and looking out into the sun, the burst from the cave entrance out into the field. She pranced a bit in excitement, her neck arched, as she took a good look at everyone.

Rosi gave his Amazonian-like sister a flat stare. If her teeth came anywhere near his tail he was going to kick her, girl or not. He knew her sole intention was just to torment him further and, while he'd take it from his young cousins, he wasn't going to roll over for his fully grown sister. And even as he was thinking this he felt something clamp down on his tail. Gritting his teeth and doing his best to resist the urge to kick out, Rosi just followed the filly as she pranced around victoriously with his tail.
Thankfully, Ail's tail suddenly became a new target and his own was freed from the grasp of his cousin. With a bit of a whimper he curled his tail around his leg and scooted away from the young ones and towards his grandfather. He seemed like the only one that wouldn't pick at him and, with any luck, he wouldn't be chatty like the females.

Ail pranced carefully, jiggling her tail cleverly just out of reach of the precocious and playful filly. "This dragon would appear to be a far sneakier beastie than the last one, and not so willing to let the noble knight defeat it," she added, holding back a laugh as the striped "dragon" continued to elude her younger cousin.
Thank goodness being bitten by a normal filly was nowhere near as bad as if Ail or her mate Karl had bitten her tail, since both had carnivorous fangs that could actually draw blood. She was thoroughly distracted enough by keeping her cousin preoccupied with chasing her tail that she didn't even notice her grandfather disappear into the cave and her grandmother exit to socialize.

Louvia was wide-eyed as her cousin actually took a bite of Rosi's tail. It wasn't what she intended, but was surprised at her little cousin. She let out a little giggle as Rosi walked away and she went to her sister's side. As Ail's tail was being attacked, Louvia thought aloud. "You have guts, little one," she told her small cousin as she lowered her head again to her level. "I don't think you'd want to bite this one. She has fangs."--------------------------------- Emille was a little bit worried about her son as he walked away after being bitten, but didn't go to him. He was a grown stallion after all. She looked at her two daughters and was glad they didn't mind the little ones.
Looking back to her father, she saw her mother's head outside the cave. "Let's go see mother, Mera!" Mera was definitely not as excited as Emille was, but she was still their mother. Emille trotted over to her mother and gave her a sweet nuzzle.
"Hello Mother! I've missed you too!"

Tian grinned as she was called gutsy. "Prot the dragon fears NOTHING!" She giggled as she chased her cousin's tail. It hadn't even crossed her mind that she might have hurt her older male cousin's pride when she'd latched onto his tail before setting her eyes on the female cousin's cat like tail. it was something new, exciting. Something to let her imagination grow with. "The snake had it coming! It attacked my cousin! so now Prot shall come to this fair maid's rescue!!!" More giggles as she attempted to strike that Heroic pose before leaping after the tail once more.
Mera smiled at her children and shook her head some. They were, spunky at best. "Tia.. Make sure you don't inadvertently hurt your cousins.. they might not be into playing so rough...." She sighed softly and smiled widely as her mother stepped out to see everyone. "You go ahead I'll be there in a minute, Emille." She nudged her daughter Leila gently. "It's ok, go introduce yourself my dear. I'll be with your aunt by your grandmother and then you can come see us and meet your grandparents." She offered a soft smile to her daughter and moved to greet her mother. "Hello mother." She grinned wide. "How're you doing?" She gave her mother a affectionate nuzzle. "Well... You saw them in their baskets.. What do you think? Leggy and full of spunk." She chuckles her ears flicking back to her daughter's giggles. "You of course already know Tian.. She's come with me a few times to see you and father. The other little girls Leila, and the Young man over there With Tian's Rakshi."

Albert smiled as his mate was finally freed for a time from the cavern, and watched Rosi approach with his tail curled. He meerly nodded towards his grandson at first, then affectionately added when the other stallion was close enough to hear and the mares weren't, "It's safer over here. No more Mares or foals. And there's a cave at our back."
Meru nuzzled Mera, then cantered a few laps around her daughters. It felt so good to be out and Doing something! And now that she was moving, she just couldn't keep still. After running around her two daughters a few times, she stood before them, prancing in place and skittering about. She felt like a foal that had just learned the joys of running. She never wanted to be that still again, Ever. "All of my grandchildren are beautiful, just like my daughters. You both have done beautiful work." She grinned as she looked between them. "Though, I noticed a theme, except on Rakshi. Spots and stripes? did you both fall in love with cats or something? Or are you just into the 'wild' side?" She winked in a knowing way, and pulled a few circles just for the fun of it.

Emille was neither happy nor sad at her mother's comment. Yes, she had fallen for quite a... feline. She managed to let out a small laugh. "Yes they do love their stripes. Sorry to say that their step-father is less of feline, but I'm glad that you approve. They are all really spirited kids."
She was glad to see her mother so happy and didn't want to bring anyone else down because of the past. "Glad to see you are doing well mother! How are the little baskets?" Emille was excited to hear that she would be having new siblings. "I hope we get a brother this time to make a proper little prince for Father!"
She laughed again.--------------------------------- It seemed like her little cousin was too much in a world of her own to really tease, but she was wondering something. How much trouble could this little girl get into in the future. She knew her sister had some not-so-happy times because of her biting habit. "I hope your little rescue missions don't get you into trouble in the future, little miss. I know bad habits got your cousin into trouble!"
Louvia stuck her tongue out at her sister as she noticed with the corner of her eye that her mother was now with her grandmother. She motioned to her sister. "I think that's Grandmother." It was kind of weird seeing her grandmother prance around her mother and her aunt like she did. She had thought her grandmother would be more... Well... old?

Leila found she couldn't concentrate on any one thing for longer than a moment or so. She giggled as she watched her sister toy with their cousin Rosi's tail, but she kept looking back at the cave where her new family was. She'd seen her own basket, of course, and her siblings' after they'd popped, but it just didn't seem the same as seeing baskets before the foals came out to greet the world for the first time. She grinned up at her mother when she said to go ahead and introduce herself and nodded a little, smiling as she trotted over to where her cousins and siblings were. Since Ail and Rosi seemed to be occupied with Tian, she went closer to Louvia. "Hiya!" she said with a small giggled. "You said you're Vivi, right? I'm Leila!" Her tail swished back and forth, pausing when she looked up and saw her cousin's eyes glowed. "Ooh, you got some pretty eyes! I never saw eyes that did that before!" she said, awe written plainly on her young face.

Ail smiled at her sister in a way that said she'd be careful not to bite her young cousins. When Vivi pointed out their grandmother had arrived, she stopped prancing and turned to look at the mare, remembering belatedly to lift her cat tail over her back for safety.
Her grandmother was lovely, and she could definitely see a resemblance. The jewelry, the silks, the hair with its ribbon, the blues, and even the pale coat came from Meru. She was definitely lovely, and she could see where the energetic nature of the family came from, too.

Rakshi blinked a bit, got distracted from protecting his older cousin and saw what he believed was his grandmother. Now he knew very well where his and his mother's shock of blue hair had come from. His ears twitched when he heard the older mare speak. Then slyly he watched as his grandmother wiggled in place a bit.
It was obviously genetic. His mother often kept fidgeting, as did he and his siblings, they all must have gotten it from their grandmother. He grinned a little to himself, tail flicking back and forth a bit, he wasn't sure where to go in this large gathering of soquili. So he skittered out of range for the time being and sat back a bit. Observing for the time being. Until of course something got him hyper again.
