"Oh climbing, I see...." Then the word actually hit her and Mitsu stopped dead in her tracks her face going a little pale. "Wait....climbing?" She hadn't explained her fear of heights so Shun wouldn't understand. "I don't suppose its just a small climb...close to the ground." Though if it was why would they need gear? Already her heart was pounding in her chest at the very thought up being high.

"It's about sixty feet high," Shun said rather nonchalantly, not quite picking up on any nervousness that Mitsu might have exhibited just now, "There's plenty of areas to grab onto though, and the rock is very sturdy so it's really not a hard climb at all."

"S....sixty feet?" Mitsu squeaked, her face now matching her hair. She nearly started to sway on her feet at the very thought. "I...I can't do that I don't climb. That's way too high." There was a sense of panic in her crimson eyes as she looked at Shun, fear very evident.

At the squeak, he looked back at her, now seeing the fear in her eyes. Furrowing his brows, his eyes softened as it seemed that she had a fear of heights he hadn't been aware of.
"I'm sure you can technically," he said, "I'll make sure you won't fall... and I'll even help you climb if you need it."

Mitsu shook her head vigorously, eyes going wide. "N-n-n-no I d-don't think I can." She stammered out in her fear hands clutching at her jacket like it might help her somehow. "H..how long is the walk?" Though that would still take her up up....not too appealing.

Judging her reaction, Shun wondered if he should still try to get her to climb or go on with the long route. If she did climb... perhaps it could help her out with the fear she had. That had a sort of appeal to the assassin.
"The walk would take about 45 minutes to an hour I think," he said. He hadn't really taken that route before so he didn't know the exact, but it seemed like a good estimate to him. Stepping closer to Mitsu, he rested a hand on her shoulder to try and get her to relax, "Do you think you can at least try for me?I swear to you that you are safe with me."

Mitsu looked at Shun with wide deer in the headlight eyes. She wanted to tell him no, that she didn't want to try, but he just had to add the 'for me' at the end. Taking in a big breath Mitsu let it out slowly, though it did little to help calm her nerves. "Y..you won't let me fall?" She really didn't want to try but there was a sense of guilt if she told him no. It would be like saying she didn't trust him and that wasn't the case at all.

"I won't let you fall," he repeated assuringly. Squeezing her shoulder lightly, Shun looked on ahead. He couldn't see the spot they were headed towards just yet but most likely they'd see it soon enough, "If it's still too much for you after giving it a shot, we'll take the other way around. How does that sound?"

"O..okay," At least there was a plan B for when plan A failed. With unsure foot steps she started to follow after Shun again, her fingers fidgeting idly with her jacket in the mean time. It was a nervous habit she had when she was anxious about something, especially something she knew she wasn't going to like. "S..so what's all in the bag?" Obviously, she had never gone climbing before. Why would someone afraid of heights know of the gear that was needed for such a feat?

"Some harnesses, ropes, and caribeaners. The rock we're climbing already has some things drilled into it for us to use," he answered before remembering something else, "Oh right. Also some food and drink in case we need it."
"I'll do all the setting up we need, so you won't have to worry about that."

Mitsu gave a rather stiff nod, her eyes still filled with a hint of panic. She couldn't believe she was going through with this. Her brother would be laughing at her...if he was around to hear about it.
The entire walk to their destination Mitsu looked like she was about to dart off at any given second. The anticipation of actually climbing up something had her a nervous wreck so by the time they were at the cliff face she stared up at it like it was a monster ready to devour her. In reality sixty feet wasn't all that high, but from Mitsu's angle they might as well have been climbing Mt. Everest. "I...It's so high up." She swallowed hard at the knot growing in her throat.

When they arrived at the cliff, Shun set down the bag to start getting the gear out. Taking out the harnesses, he went on to grab the rope and checked it over to make sure everything was well. Then, putting on the harness, he turned towards Mitsu and offered her the second one.
"Don't think about how high it is... just ah... pretend you're crawling across.. a flat floor... or something," he offered, though he really didn't know how to help someone deal with a fear all that much. He could see the panic in her eyes and it bothered him to see that in her.

"R-r-right, c-crawling on the f-f-floor." Mitsu turned to Shun as he offered her the harness. Grasping it lightly her nervous hands couldn't keep a hold of it and she dropped it right off the bat. Trying to pick it up again her fingers fumbled with it before she was finally able to take hold of it, her hands shaking as she tried to figure out how it worked. It looked like a mess of straps to her. "How does it work?" She tried to make her voice as even as possible and not stammer, it was a challenge but she managed.

Seeing her tremble, Shun frowned and let out a sigh before taking the harness and helping her put it on. He tried to make sure it was a fairly snug but not too tight fit for her before placing both hands onto her shoulders and looking into her eyes.
"Try to relax," he said softly, "Try thinking about something nice."
If she was going to be as shaky as she was right now, she was going to have trouble climbing.

Once the harness was in place with Shun's help, Mitsu turned to him as he placed his hands on her shoulders. Think of something nice? She was about to climb into unreasonable heights and likely fall to her death. There didn't seem to be a happy and safe outcome in her mind despite the fact that she knew people did this all the time and never got hurt. Taking a deep shaky breath she nodded her head. "Okay..." Nice thoughts....nice thoughts...nice thoughts.....Not climbing the cliff would be nice.
Finally after a while she seemed to get the shaking somewhat under control though her movements were still stiff as she moved to the rocky wall. "Show me what to do." She said softly waiting for him to go first.
