Strange, he was still offering to help her. She didn't fully understand why though, it made sense to her, but at the same time she was confused by it. Though now that he had brought up the subject of food Rabbit realized that it had been a while since she last ate, she'd been in the hole for - well she glanced at the sky, judging by the suns position she would guess a few hours. And as if to accentuate that point her stomach let out a light growl, and she docked her ears in embarrassment.
"I suppose I could use something to eat." Slowly she lowered her head and gently picked up Blackavar. Once her grip on his was secure, but soft, she looked back up at Rua and the question burned in her eyes of where should they go next.

His ear's twitch at the growl coming from her stomach and he chuckles softly. "Well then, let's getting something for you Miss Rabbit." He says companionably. he was a little peckish himself, but he'd get some for her first. "You like squirrels? I can probably round up a few of those." He says, not mentioning rabbits since he thought that probably wasn't a good idea. Without waiting for an answer he sniffed the air, then trotted off towards the direction he'd been walking before this mess happened. He knew where he was going even if he'd only been with the pack for a short time.
Within a few minutes he came to a promising clearing scattered with nuts. And lo and behold there were a few plump squirrels snuffling through the pickings. he glanced at her, signaling she should be quiet while he worked.

Rabbit gave him a slight nod at his question. While she had not eaten too many squirrels in the past they did have a good taste to them and she couldn't see herself eating a large meal after having such a traumatic morning. She followed silently behind Rua as he made his way along until they came to a small cleaning. Even before he signaled for her to be quiet Rabbit was already crouching down, waiting for him to catch one of the little critters, Blackavar was placed in the crook of her front legs and her eyes watched Rua carefully. Maybe she could even pick up a few hunting tips while she was here, since hunting was certainly not among her strong points.

Rua was focused on the hunt now. His eyes trained on the fattest squirrel of the light. He crept towards them, keeping his weight evenly distributed on his paws so he wouldn't snap a twig or something like that. He froze when the squirrel sat up and looked around and he flattened himself against the round. It hadn't noticed him thankfully and it went back to its business. He went forward a few more paces, still making sure to be quiet. Then, when he judged himself to be close enough, lunged forward and pinned the squirrel under his large paws. He cleanly snapped its neck before it could cry out, but the other squirrels already scattered. he picked the dead animal up and carried it over to Rabbit, his tail wagging happily. He deposited it in front of her and grinned. "Eat up!"

Eyes were glued to Rua as he preformed the small task of hunting down the squirrel. It wasn't particularly dangerous quarry, not like the deer the pack often hunting, but squirrels were fast and used trees to escape and as far as she knew wolves could not climb trees. The thought crossed her mind for the briefest of moments that perhaps she should try to climb a tree one day, but knowing her luck she would get half way up and fall to the ground and break her leg. That was something she was not willing to let happen, so best leave the tree climbing to the squirrels.
The hunt was over in the blink of an eye and before she could get up Rua had brought the squirrel to where she lay and placed it before her. Rabbit smiled a large smile for the first time today and took the moment to place Blackavar in a nice patch of lush grass beside her before picking up the squirrel and tearing into it's plump flesh. "Thank you." She finally remembered to say after a few bites. "So..." She paused in her meal. "..what made you come here?" Here meaning the pack. Her eyes glanced over at Blackavar for a moment making sure he was happy and safe before turning her attention back to the rapidly disappearing squirrel.

"My pleasure, good Lady." He says amiably. Rua settled down into a sitting position. He was pleased he could ease this other wolf's troubles. He always liked doing that since it made him feel good. He was beginning to contemplate these things, lazily watching her eat and only half paying attention. He even day dreamed a little, but was snapped back to reality at the question. He roused himself with a shake and focused on her again. It wasn't very polite to ignore a lady.
"Well, Miss Rabbit, I came from far away. My goal is to destroy all evil things and make the world a wonderful place. Queen KK allowed me to start here, but it may take a long time for me to work on my goal, so I agreed to stay." He says with a slight nod.

While the squirrel had been quite a plump one it disappeared in no time. Licking her lips Rabbit idly pushed the bones off to the side, checked on Blackavar and then returned her attention to Rua. His goal was to destroy all evil things. Well Rabbit could certainly think of a few wolves in this very pack that she would classify into that category, mainly that other litter and on most days her own father. She couldn't keep count of the days she had wished Winner wasn't her father, hell even some of her siblings she could do without. But certainly saying that to Rua was out of the question.
"I guess this would be a good place to work on your goal." She said a bit shyly. Rabbit wasn't used to being treated so well, and while she was enjoying it she could not ignore the nagging feeling in the back of her mind that said this too would end badly like everything else in her life. Might as well enjoy it while it lasts, she thought.

Rua watched her complacently, seeming almost lazy now that the crisis had been averted and she'd been fed and taken care of. He wouldn't leave though until he was sure she was okay. He looked over her, checking to make sure there were no bad physical injuries one more time. He didn't look at the dead rabbit, even though he was concerned about that.
He roused some at her remark. "Why thank you. I hope I can make this pack a better place." He says in a pleasant, rumbling tone. His brightly colored tail even thumped once or twice against the ground in a wag.

She caught him looking her over and it made her skin crawl, even if Rabbit knew he was just looking her over for injuries likely it was still a bit unsettling. Well she was safe, out of the whole, fed and now there was no reason for her to stick around. Standing Rabbit scooped up Blackavar in her mouth and looked at Rua. "Thanks...for everything. I better get going." Turning she began padding off, though made she that her path would take her no where near that hole again. Last thing she needed was to fall into in twice in one day.

He blinks in surprise, tilting his head to the side. He hoped he hadn't offended her by staring. "Well, all right. Good bye Miss Rabbit, hopefully I'll see you another day." He says, and gives a small bow to her retreating back. Then he gets up and gives himself a shake. So much evil to vanquish, so little time...
A grin broke out on his face as he trotted away at a good clip. Maybe he could destroy some more threats today or rescue more damsels.
