"Roxanne?" Mitsu's eyes brightened considerably when Desmond pulled out the pretty green snake. The pictures currently forgotten she moved a bit closer, a hand reaching out to run her fingers over the soft scaly skin. "I can hold her?" Mitsu seemed rather excited, a hint of a smile coming back to her face as she reached out for the large boa.
She hadn't really taken the size of the creature into consideration. While she was able to hold the snake it weighed far more than it looked like it should leaving her to rely on Desmond to handle the snake as well so she didn't risk hurting the reptile. "She's pretty. What do you feed a snake this big?" Mitsu had only seen smaller snakes around her house. She knew they ate the mice and other small prey but this snake was far larger than any she had seen.
-----
Klyde watched Riyo for the most part, though his eyes moved from here to there trying to spot any other potentially dangerous items. The posters....he had forgotten about since he saw them all the time so when Riyo commented on them he faltered. "Uhh...yeah."
There wasn't much to do in his room but it was somewhat of a safe zone in the house. "What do you want to see next?" Klyde asked as he leaned against his desk, his hand brushing up against what looked like a dog collar. "The other side of the house has a inner garden, the den, the game room, among other things." The game room was the room his parents avoided leaving it entirely to the children and their whims.

As Mitsu seemed excited to see the snake, Desmond smiled. Carefully, he lifted the snake above her head to wrap it's top half around her shoulders while trying to keep most of the weight on his side.
As Roxanne was placed on a warm-blooded being, her head moved closer to Mitsu's, tongue flicking her cheek. Though, Desmond had made sure the only servant who had a key to his room fed her well before Mitsu came over. Speaking of...
"A lot of rats and... The occasional rabbit." He admitted, though more often than not fuzzy creatures that found their way into his mother's garden ended up with the green snake.
"My parents don't like her." He admitted reluctantly. "They would've rather I had a dog or something." Because that was 'normal'. Though, with the way they fed him, Desmond didn't think a dog would last... No matter how cute it might've been. "Y'know. Dogs are normal. And that's why this whole house is like a set from the Brady Bunch. At one point, this was what the normal human family lived in. Ugh. You don't know how many episodes of the Brady Bunch I've watched..." Probably all of them by now. Including that stupid movie.
... But Mitsu wasn't here to listen to him rant. "I'm sorry... If there's something you wanna do, let me know. We can take a stroll through the garden or watch TV if you'd like." He'd even sit and watch the goddamn Brady Bunch with her if it's what she wanted.
---
Pulling her attention away from Klyde's wall, Riyo looked over at him with a smile. "Surprise me." In all honesty (with herself at least), spending time like this was more than enough. It didn't particularly matter where they went.
Yeah, she was still a little sore about what had happened... But it was getting harder and harder for her to stay mad. "... Is that a dog collar?"

Mitsu giggled a bit when the snake seemingly licked her cheek. She had never held anything quite like this before and the feel of it wrapped around her shoulders brushing up against her sensitive neck tickled a little. Smiling she touched the body of the green snake gently not minding the answer that Desmond gave. While the rabbits were a bit of a surprise she had asked after all. Never ask a question you don't want the answer to. That's what her brother had always told her.
"The Brady Bunch?" That questioning look came back to Mitsu's eyes as she tried to think of what he was talking about. "Is that the show with the big family....and you see their faces in a bunch of squares?....We never had a tv," She admitted after a short pause so that he might understand her confusion or lack of awareness. "I only really watched tv if I was over at someone's house...which was rare. Or the occasional movie."
As far as what to do. "A walk through the garden sounds nice." She passed Roxanne back to Desmond so that he could put her away. In the mean time her focus went back to the artwork on the walls, her eyes going wide again as if she had forgotten. Stepping a little closer she looked over a few pieces like she was in an art museum, though the look on her face said she was still trying to take it all in.
"What....do you normally think about when you draw?" She asked as her finger lightly touched a picture of a tortured man, beaten and bloody. For her, music reflected her mood. It could be happy or sad or even angry. She had heard other art forms for other people were the same way. So what did Desmond thing about when he made these? It had her worried but not in a way one might think. Some might look at these pictures and think Desmond liked to see death, suffering, and pain, but Mitsu saw it as Desmond showing how he felt. That he was suffering and in pain.
---
"Okay we can -" He looked to the desk where his hand was sitting when Riyo called attention to the collar. "Yeah. This was from the first and last pet to ever grace the McBane household." He nudged at the collar which was on the small side like it might have been for a puppy. "We're not a very pet friendly family." There was a hint of sadness in his voice as he pushed away from the desk. "Come on, I'll show you the game room.

"That's the one." Desmond sighed, carefully taking the snake back and walking her to the aquarium. "You really haven't missed much." Desmond had never been a fan of television. Better things to do with your time.
Replacing the lid on the cage, the vampire gave a little wave to Roxanne before Mitsu's question caught him off guard. "I..." For a moment, he seemed dumbfounded by such a simple inquiry.
"I think about my childhood." He thought about expanding on his answer only seconds before shrugging it off. "To the garden then." If she wanted more of an explanation, he supposed she could ask for it... Though he was doing his best to not seem like a spoiled rich kid who hated his parents for not getting him a pony.
After holding the door open for her, Desmond led them back to the same room. There was a door in the corner that led out to the garden, but before he even thought about opening it, the vampire grabbed one of the black umbrellas to hold over his head as they walked. At least his parents were sane enough to realize they needed these.
---
Riyo did her best to hide the shock of the underlying message. What... What had happened? There were obvious scenarios... But a lot of them were knocked off the list because of Klyde's sadness. "Okay..." She wouldn't press it... No matter how curious she might've been. She did, however, grab his hand. A thoughtful squeeze followed. "Is it a poker/pool/ping pong kinda game room or a videogame kinda game room?"

"Your...childhood?" Mitsu drew back her hand looking to Desmond as he seemed ready to go and not continue with the current conversation. "Okay..." Maybe it had been the wrong thing to ask?
Once back in the other room Mitsu waited for Desmond to grab his umbrella before they headed outside, something obviously bothering her as she fidgeted with the bottom of her shirt. "S...sorry, Desmond. For prying." Her gaze didn't seem to want to rise from the ground as they moved along the path out into the garden. "Y....you said before your parents tried to hide what you were from you...so you were sick a lot." She also remembered that he had called them hypocrites but she wouldn't repeat that line. "It must have been hard...to find out you were being lied to about who you really were." If only she knew the full story she would know her words were a gross understatement.
----
When Riyo took his hand and gave it a squeeze Klyde smiled a bit more normally, that sad look melting away. "It's more of a video game room..." Klyde said as he led them out into the hall. "The pool has its own building outside." Of course it would. What luxury home didn't have its own pool house? "Do you want to go swimming?" Klyde grinned, the look on his face was a little devious. "We can lock the pool house and go skinny dipping. There are no windows."

Desmond immediately noticed Mitsu's fidgeting as they walked along the stepping stone pathway through the garden and up to a gazebo. That was still bothering her?
Well, it was still bothering him too. It had for years... Though, her last sentence made him stop dead in his tracks. "Mitsu." What the hell should he say? Slightly frustrated, the vampire walked up the steps of the small shade bearing shelter and had a seat with a thud. "You... Really don't understand." the hand not holding onto the umbrella handle slipped over his forehead and through his golden hair, brows furrowed. "And helping you understand would probably just make things worse."
---
"Ooh. Video games." Been awhile since she'd actually sat down and played some of those... Though, Klyde had managed to once again send her off track with his suggestions.. "Klyde. I am not, nor will I ever, swim naked in somebody's parents house. Including yours. And nothing you say could convince me otherwise." Because things just had a way of happening and the voice in the back of her head screamed 'BAD IDEA, BAD IDEA' as soon as 'skinny dipping' escaped the vampire's mouth.

"Sorry, I guess I don't," Mitsu said softly as she reluctantly took a seat not far from Desmond. "Just....forget I said anything?" Though it made her wonder....how had Desmond found out about it? He had apparently gone some time without knowing, but she wasn't about to ask. Not when he already looked rather miserable due to the subject.
"To be fair ask me something....though I don't have much to share that you don't already know."
----
"Oh really?" Klyde's smile grew. "Challenge accepted. We'll see what happens."
Following a series of hallways Klyde led Riyo to the game room. When he pushed open the door it looked like a small livable arcade. There was a large flat panel tv on the wall with a number of gaming systems and a couple of book cases full of games. There seemed to be a bar of sorts in the back with the classic dart board. They even had a DDR gaming machine on top of a few older arcade game machines like pacman and mortal combat.
The floor was littered with toys, no doubt Claire spent a great deal of time in this room. "We can play something if you want," Klyde offered shortly before his head turned toward a window hearing a car engine roaring into the driveway. "Oh god...." He moaned. Of all days for his brothers to show up it had to be today. With any luck it was Jacob, he wasn't too bad on his own but they never seemed to come home without the other in tow. "We may find something to do away from the house...."

When Mitsu offered to drop it, Desmond didn't fight it. If they were going to make it through this, it was best she didn't know what kind of people his parents really were. He'd just have to keep a very close eye on her.
Then she offered to give him a shot back. At first he was going to just pass it up and tell her it was alright... But a thought struck him... And as cruel as it might've been, he just couldn't drop it.
Looking up from the gazebo floor, his brows furrowed as his eyes looked to hers. "Is Shun better than me in bed?" It was obvious the thought bothered him. He'd figured it out the night of new years and couldn't force it out of his head no matter how much he tried... Which was weird, since he was generally felt pretty secure in that field.
---
Yeah, right. Klyde could think whatever he wanted. There was no way.
Though she couldn't help but wonder what ploy he might use to get what he wanted... Perhaps she should've worn a hat...
"H-holy crap." Riyo's jaw almost dropped as they finally entered the 'game room'. "You might as well call this an arcade." Christ. She'd heard of spoiling kids but this s**t was ridiculous. "I'm gonna kick your a** in some mortal kombat." Not that she'd played much of it, but empty threats were fun.
And then the fun was sucked out of the room with the revving of an engine. "Who's here?" She asked quietly, peeking out the window. "I thought we were gonna hang out here the whole time..."

Oh god....Mitsu hadn't seen that question coming at all. Her face paled but only for a moment before it flushed beat red. "S...Shun?" She hadn't told him that she had been with Shun so how had he figured it out? The night of New Years Eve was a bit of a blur, otherwise she would have realized it was painfully obvious.
Swallowing hard Mitsu tried to collect her thoughts to give him some sort of answer, despite how hard it was. "I..I...don't know." She shifted uncomfortably. "I was only with Shun once..." There was a bit of hesitance in her voice but she continued on. "Y...you are both very different." She couldn't believe she was saying any of this but turn about was fair play she supposed.
"I..." Embarrassed beyond belief she looked to the floor of the gazebo, her hands fiddling with the hem of her shirt. "I...couldn't...." Her words seemed to be lost to her as she struggled to say something else. "I couldn't stop thinking about you." She finally admitted, though it was almost a quiet whisper. There was honestly a small pool of guilt sitting in her stomach for admitting such a thing. The day after, while she had been able to smile for a little while and feel content she had felt horrible. Shun had been there to sooth away her pain and Desmond, who had been the cause of that pain, kept surfacing in her mind.
----
"I had planned on staying here all day but," He looked out the window at the candy apple red Farrari sitting in the drive way and the two red headed vampires stepping out of it. Great they were both here as he feared. "My brothers and I don't really get along...."
"Klyde!" Claire squealed from down the hall as she ran to the window to peek out. "Jacob and Blake are home!" She seemed rather excited as she propped up Rosco so he could see as well though she was barely tall enough to look out the window properly.
"Y..yeah, I see them Claire." Looking to Riyo Klyde tried to think of a way to prepare her for this interaction. "Jacob and Blake are....crude at best. Whatever you do don't follow them anywhere...or be left alone." Klyde tried to warn subtly since Claire had so far been spared of his brother's true depth of cruelty.
"Come on Miss Kitty, I'll show you Jacob and Blake," Claire smiled holding up her hand for Riyo to take.

The 'I don't know' had made Desmond's heart sink at first. To him, that meant there had been nothing particularly special about their... "together time" and he was no better than the average male. And the 'You're both different' thing made him feel like she was trying to give an indecisive answer... Which kinda made it suck more.
But when that last part slipped out of her mouth, Desmond did a double take. W-what had she just said?
That meant he won, right?
Then why did he feel like a b*****d for even asking.
"Hey..." Reluctantly he put a cold hand over hers. "I'm sorry I asked you that... I should've just let it go." Why was he apologizing? SHE was the one who went and screwed around... But it's not like they had been 'official' in the first place... Even if he had wanted to be. And he had tried things with other people too... With about the same result.
"I didn't bring you here to interrogate you." It hadn't really been his choice anyways. "I want to spend time with you, Mitsu... Maybe get a chance to see that pretty smile again." He already ******** up big time once, no need to somehow make that worse. Though... They WERE at his house. So chances are there would be some kind of ******** before the end of the night.
---
Riyo raised an eyebrow at Klyde's... Explanation, half paying attention to Claire and half listening to him. Don't follow them or be left alone with them? He made his brothers sound like some kind of sexual predator/serial rapist type guys. "O-okay." Not that Riyo couldn't handle herself, right?
... Well...
Then again...
There were two of them. And they were older than Klyde. And apparently... Meaner. Should she be scared? Probably. Was she? No!
... Okay, maybe a little.
Silently, she took Claire's hand, looking to Klyde with unsure eyes.

Face still flushed a little with embarrassment, Mitsu smiled weakly to what Desmond had to say, fingers lightly grasping his hand. "I really did....miss you, Desmond. So much...happened all at once." Between the Halloween incident, her brother going missing, Suto, and her just in general dipping into depression. "Shun...kept my head above water I suppose." She didn't know how else to explain it.
"But I want to spend time with you too," Her smile grew a bit more. "I wanted to get to know you a little better."
----
When Riyo gave Claire her hand, the little girl started to lead her to the front of the house where her brothers would no doubt enter. "This way! This way!" She sang, Rosco swinging at her side.
Reluctantly Klyde simply shrugged. "Might as well get it over with. We'll try to keep it brief, hopefully my brothers will have better things in mind."

"I missed you too." Desmond said almost immediately, a look of desperation on his face to find the words to convey just how much. "You're the first person to see past the snotty rich kid everyone assumes of me at school... And... The first person I've cared to know more about.." Besides Klyde, obviously.
Standing, the vampire kept a hold on her hand to try and help her up. "Lets do our best to make you happy, alright?" A weak smile much like Mitsu's managed to break through the forlorn exterior he sported... Though it was short lived as... Much like Klyde... The sound of a car approaching made his head hurt. "Dad's home." Desmond mumbled, squeezing Mitsu's hand. "Mom will start dinner soon." Yeah, that's right. Despite the fact that there were capable maids at their disposal, or that the family technically didn't have to eat, she still made breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Though, Desmond generally refused to eat it... But at least she'd make something nice for Mitsu.
---
Carefully, Riyo followed behind the little girl, slightly hunching over so the little girl didn't have to to strain her arms. Well, she couldn't say she saw herself doing this 5 years ago... God she hoped Klyde was making a big deal out of nothing. Like a lot of siblings did on those sitcoms...

"A..alright," Mitsu's smile was a little sheepishly as Desmond helped her up out of her seat. She just managed to catch a hint of a smile from the vampire...before the car pulled up. "Your dad?" She questioned wondering if his dad was anything like his mom.
"D...dinner? I really hadn't expected...to be fed." There was a hope that Desmond's parents weren't going out of their way just because she was here. She knew their diet wasn't that of a normal person's.
---
Klyde followed behind Claire and Riyo silently dreading what was going to happen. He had hoped his brothers wouldn't be here today, but he knew that if they just hid out somewhere and they managed to find them....there would be hell to pay. They seemed to like to go out of their way to make him miserable at times.
Once to the front entrance it only took a few short minutes before the door opened, a butler and a maid shuffling his brothers inside holding umbrella's over their heads. Honestly, they looked ridiculous but Klyde wouldn't say a word about it.
"Little brother!" The first to step up was a much older boy, possibly in his mid twenties. His hair was a mess of red spikes, black streaking the tips. His clothes were dark in nature dressed in more of a punk fashion, his shirt baring the name of his band 'Corrupted Madness.'
"It's been quite a while, pipsqueak," The other boy stepped up his smile looking rather cruel. He was rather broad compared to his other two brothers, kind of like a football player but not as bulky. His hair was just as red as the other boy's but it hung about his head in wavy locks.
"And who is this?" The band boy stepped up, his grin turning into a wicked smile as he looked Riyo over. "You look rather delicious."
Immediately Klyde stepped in front of Riyo, his eyes locked onto his brother who didn't seem at all phased by the fact that Klyde was in the way.
"This is Riyo!" Claire chimed letting go of her hand to run up to the college boy to make grabby hands at him.
With a sigh Klyde continued introductions, though he was reluctant to do so. "Riyo, this is Blake." He gestured to the boy dressed in punk clothing in front of them. "And he's Jacob." He nodded toward the other boy who was currently patting Claire roughly on the head unwilling to pick her up.
Both brothers offered up toothy grins, looking no more malicious than Klyde on any normal day. Too bad they were wonderful at making decent first impressions.

"There's always extra since I won't eat with them, and I'm sure mom will make something nice because we have a guest... But if you don't want whatever they're having, I could take you somewhere." He wasn't sure why she sounded so hesitant, so Desmond figured he'd cover all the bases.
"C'mon. Lets get this over with." He sighed, leading Mitsu back into the house so they could say 'hi' to his father who would no doubt want to meet her as well.
After weaving through a couple of hallways, they were right back where the journey had begun... And where a man was hanging up his coat on the rack with a pipe in his mouth. "Hey there sport." Desmond's father called without even looking to see who it was. And it seemed before he had a chance to do so, a familiar voice made a high-pitched squeal and the sounds of heels clicking once again graced the already bruised and battered ears.
"Welcome home honey bunny!" Desmond's mom shouted as she hugged the tall, professional looking man.
"Good to be home, love of my life."
Through their whole exchange, Desmond's face turned from pain, to anger, to disgust. The nicknames... They got to him. They really did.
Finally through with the formalities, Desmond's father got a chance to see their guest. "Well hello." The man said in a warm voice with a smile to match. His appearance hadn't changed much from the meeting in Hakim's office, besides the fact that he seemed friendlier (if that was possible). "And who might this cute little lady be?"
---
Corrupted Madness? Was this guy for real?
It was the first thing Riyo thought of when the two walked through the door, though the brothers didn't seem terrible. Sure, they apparently heckled Klyde, but if she understood family dynamics that was to be expected.
Though, the delicious comment caught her off guard and made her cheeks redden a little. "Ah... Hah... Hi." She managed to say nervously, an awkward wave following. Normally she would've responded with a witty/sarcastic/sarky comment... But they were his family, and she would be nice as long as she could bare it.

"N..no eating here is fine. I just didn't want anyone going out of their way." She followed Desmond through the house as they went to meet his father. For some reason she was a little more nervous to meet his dad than she had been meeting his mom but he seemed....very....chipper.
When his mom reappeared and the gushy names were dropped Mitsu couldn't help but smile. They were awfully cute together. Though the 'Sport' bit forced her to suppress a giggle. She had never heard anyone use that before. If she would have paid attention when his parents had been in the office she would have heard it then as well but at the time it had eluded her.
"H..hello, Sir." Mitsu couldn't help but smile warmly in return. His parents were both very nice, maybe a little over the top, but she didn't see anything wrong with that. It was hard to believe...they had lied to Desmond. And not your average lie about Santa Claus or the toothfairy, but about who he really was. "I'm Mitsu Lupus." Mitsu offered her name in greeting trying to be polite. With adults she always dropped the Sir, Ma'am, please, and thank you. It's what she had been taught and would never forget. "It's nice to meet you."
---
"So where did you find the cutey?" Blake grinned walking up on Klyde to wrap an arm around his neck and pull him in close. He seemed to be putting on the friendly family act and Klyde wanted nothing of it as he tried to push the arm away.
"You can stop pretending like we're close," Klyde growled but was immediately shut up as Blake tightened his grip around his neck to the point of hurting.
"Don't be that way little brother," Blake grinned. "We're just worried you're boring your guest."
"Jacob! Jacob! Rosco has a secret to tell you!" Claire smiled wide and the larger vampire pat her on the head briskly before moving away. His attention was elsewhere.
"Riyo, was it?" Jacob put on a charming smile. "Maybe you'd like to spend some time with us? We can show you around." His offer was innocent enough.
"Yeah, we'll take care of your guest, Klyde. Why don't you go get your brothers something to eat in the meantime." Blake smiled.
"Young Sir, we are capable of getting you something," The butler off to the side offered.
"No, I think Klyde can do it. He knows what we like."
