Torque What i what to know is, why do you Draxxus or anybody else here think Tippmann markers or markers like it, are so great for woodball? I personally am not a fan of Tippmanns,I have never played with one and most likely never will. Their markers are not my style and I just don't like them. But overall I can't argue with the fact that they are very sucessful with their markers and other stuff. Like I said before my knowledge of Tippmanns is just from what I see from other people.

Torque DraXxuS, I'm not trying to dis you, but if you never used a A5 then you really can't talk......If you are telling someone to buy a A5 because they play more woodball the just plain wrong, and you're sending that person up the river..... stressed
Sorry for the inconvience Torque. I accidently edited your post instead of quoteing it. -DraXxuS

Well for one a person shouldn't buy a marker just becuase someone says so, and you cannot always relie on information to be 100% solid. They should buy what they want and not what the other people want. I would also have to say that most people would agree with my information that I give about the marker. I'm sorry if you felt as though my information is usless, but I feel that my information is some what helpful.

But don't you think if person "A" is telling his opinion to person "B" about what marker to get, that person "A" should have some experience with that marker?

Phantom_Renegade why do we think that tippmanns are great for woodsball ??? thats because they are built tuff, almost never break down, and just work great in all weather and temperature conditions Yeah the 98 custom is, the A5 isn't build tuff! The Cyclone feed is the weak link in the A5's design...and now there are better markers in the market around the same price range, so i don't see the point in buying Tippmanns any more.
Just about any marker with a HPA air tank can work in all weather/temperature conditions...
Let's thinks about this for a sec, in speedball players run as fast as they can, dive, jump, flip and what other crazy moves they do trying not to get hit and their markers work just fine! In woodball it's more slow pace you can't run that much, you can't dive, flip, jump around or you'll mess around and break your neck, so what's the point in having a tank build marker? The only thing that's good about the tippmann markers is their low maintenance...But a person should take apart their marker a clean offend away.

I run just as fast and still superman into snake and dive and slide and duck and jump and everything like that... I personally say tippmann is the best woodsball gun.. it is extremely durable, accurate, long range with flatline (kinda floats but if they dont see it it still hits them) also they can be made to the way you like it... their real purpose is mainly for scenarios.

paintballmaniac00 I have the A5 with a stock, flatline, and the response trigger and it is the most accurate paintball gun I have ever shot. I love this gun. Buy the Tippmann. True I've played with a flatline on a stock A-5 the only downfall to using the flatline barrell is that it sounds like a cannon, i'd recommend having a few people cover ur a** when shooting cuz when you shoot.. everyone on that field is gonna know exactly where your at.

(you'll be cleaning out ur barrell every 3rd shot or so...)

For the record allot of the gear for it cane be found cheap or used/refurbished.

yokoshima tenma hmmmmmm... looking for some of your guys' experiences. What do you think about the A-5? I want to get it and with the whole Angel drama, i need to know if it is worth all the BS. The cyclone feed system? What is up with that and is it worth all the xtra $$$. Needing reviews cuz i'm going to buy soon. Thanks the A5 is an excelent woodsball gun. there very durable and very upgradeable. as im shure you have noticed it is curently the most popular scenario and recball gun on the market. however while most the time torque just manages to piss me off for once i have to agree with him on something. the cyclone feed system does have one majore design flaw. there is a small plastic rachet that gets extreemly soft when its hot outside. as you fire the gun that rachet becomes more and more deformed untill eventualy the feed system can no longer cycle properly. some ppl never have a problem with it while one of my freinds has had to replace his 4 times. from my expiriance though the A5 is well worth the money dispit this drawback
