hello! I'm Travel or Sami, whichever you wanna call me. i am 19 yrs old and live in Georgia. i'm not really sure where to say i'm originally from. i was born in Maryland, but i moved to Spain when i was 2. moved to California when i was 10, and then down here to Georgia when i was 11. i've been to 5 different schools and lived in 12 different houses that i can remember. ah the life of a military family...it's never dull. lol
i am currently in college, hoping to get my Associates degree in Early Childhood Education. i have no job and live with my parents, but i spend ALL my free time over at my boyfriend's house, much to my parents dislike. my mom seems to think that because she was a slut when she was my age, so am i. mad hate to disappoint her, but i'm nothing like her.
i LOVE books. i'm a huge bookworm. my boyfriend is always joking around and saying how he may be my boyfriend, but my books are my lover. lol the shelves in my bedroom are filled with books and i have 2 bookshelves out in the den filled with books that i've bought or have been given to me as gifts. my dream house is gonna be 3 stories high and the entire 3rd floor is going to be filled with books. i plan on raising my kids to be book lovers just like me.
well, that's pretty much it about me. everything else people tend to learn about me as they get to know me. looking forward to getting to know everyone and hopefully making some new friends!

Hello, book club members.
My name is Kelli, I'm 21 years old, and I'm majoring in English and minoring in Theatre at one of my local universities. I work as a barista, and don't usually get a chance to go on Gaia very much, so don't expect a ton of posts from me. But I'll be around when I can, I promise!
I primarily read general/literary fiction; admittedly, I have a weak spot for anything the least bit pretentious. I also read a lot of poetry, especially Beat poetry.
I used to work as a theatre technician, specializing in set construction. However, all those late nights and early mornings really hurt my academic performance. Now I mostly admire from a far, so to speak.
I'm not very good at social interaction, so if any of my posts seem rude, I apologize. I don't mean anything by it, and it certainly isn't you. I'm sure you're all lovely, and I don't like to be rude to lovely people.

Hello, everyone. My name's Philip.
I'm a 22 year old waste of space with pretensions of being a musician. I've played guitar for eight years now and sung professionally for three. I write my own songs and if you're very unlucky, you may hear some.
I love fantasy and science fiction. Harry Potter and Doctor Who are two of my biggest passions in life after music. I write fanfiction for both them (which you can see here.
A list of my favourite books of all time would include 1984, Brave New World, Paradise Lost, The Divine Comedy, Frankenstein, War of the Worlds and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
I come up with the plot of a different novel at least twice a year but I never get the wherewithal to follow through on it. Fanfiction is probably sapping my "talent" dry.
I hope I get to know you all well and have a wonderful time here!

Hello, everyone.
My name's Jackie, but I go by Owl Dawn here on Gaia.
I've been tending bar for many years in New York City, but I've just completed a graduate program for a Master's in Library Science. Hoping to get my diploma soon.
I'm an avid reader; my favorite way to spend my mornings is lounging around with a fresh pot of coffee and a good book. I read a wide variety of books, but I usually tend towards literary fiction, fantasy, and science fiction.
I like discovering great new restaurants, watching football, buying clothes and taking long naps on my couch.
I hope to one day adopt a pair of pugs.

Hiya!
I just joined today. Please just call me Manders. I'm interested in books (naturally!), anime, movies, and psychology. I like to read science fiction novels, romance, and general fiction.
I'm going to college to become a psychologist. But I still find myself with enough time to read most days. I'm hoping that this little book club will keep me on track with reading.
My favorite color is blue, I try to write my own novels but fail at that, listening to music is one my favorite things to do while I do anything else.
So that's basically me, I hope to get to know you guys and enjoy some great conversations with everyone.

I am currently doing some Soul searching and thinking long and hard about what i want to do "when I grow up." Bank tellering has become a time filler until that point...it pays the bills.
